Weight-Loss One Hundred Push-ups Challenge (Official Thread)

Weight-Loss
I think that I will have to bow out of the challenge as my shoulders have been acting up again. Last night all I did was reach for something a bit behind me and my shoulder popped! It hurt enough to bring tears to my eyes.
Sorry. :(
It could just be stress or it could be the tendonitis again. Don't want to take any chances. Know what I mean?
I did get up to 42 last week during my PowerCore class.

I understand. My shoulders are snap-cracklin'-poppin' too. Somedays it's worse than others. I guess that's part of getting old. :D

I haven't done all 3 days of week 3, but have gotten in the final day without too much of a collapsing at the end - and not too much shaking.

So I'm going to go ahead and start week 4 tomorrow.

I just finished 88. But I don't think I could've done it with out the rest in between and I'm on my knees.

Forgot to mention that even with skipping a few days, I'm definitely stronger now than when I first started! :hurray:

As per the site:

Week 3 is now comfortably behind you and it's time to start Week 4. Continue by following the same column of exercises as you did last week.

At the end of Week 4 it will be time to perform another exhaustion test. You should know what to do by now - simply perform as many good-form push ups as you can comfortably manage before you're unable to perform another one. As per the end of Week 2, stress your system by all means, but please don't go beyond the safety limit.

The number of push ups you complete will determine which level of the program you'll start in Week 5. Make sure you perform this test within a couple of days of completing Week 4.

Well, it looks like I'll have to leave the challenge as well. I've been too tired to do anything these days....cuz I'm preggers! woohoo! My little boy (who turns two next month) is going to be a brother! yay :)

Yay for you! Boo for us!

I'll be keeping tabs on ya!

Oh, noooo...now I feel bad. ):

I'm gonna have to take a break from this too...it's killing my back. It seriously hurt to walk and sit/stand the rest of the day. It still hurts a little, but it's getting better.

Good luck, people still doing it!
Hope you feel better, people dropping out. ;D

Oh man. I'm beginning to feel that I'm the only one left in here!

I hope you get to feeling better. It shouldn't hurt so much to do push-ups, but I would guess it depends on the condition of your back before you start.

Since I've completely slacked off on my push ups I'm going to re-start from week one starting tomorrow. I haven't done a single push up in over a month. This weekend I started a bootcamp class and one of the things we had to do was push ups and I couldn't do 15 girl push ups in a row. I went from 15 full push ups to not even 15 knee push ups. I am so mad at myself. I could have been to a hundred by now. Hopefully this time I am more motivated to stick to it. How is everyone else doing?

Good luck! I haven't done any in awhile either. I need to get back to it too.
