Once again Sarah Palin Opens Mouth.....

Jonestown and Waco didn't work out so well. its time for another go at it.

yeah, start younger, easier to influence.......

I am and have been sticking to the topic which is the comment on fruit fly research.

If you are going to expand the discussion I would appreciate if you could clarify what you are talking about by prefacing it first.

Actually the topic is "Once again Sarah Palin Opens Mouth.... (and inserts foot)". Then you go on to say how stupid she is. The subject of the speech (not the thread) was on fruit fly research.... I'm not off topic or expanding the discussion, I'm simply shining a new light on your topic by NOT agreeing with you saying hateful things about her.

Yes, they have. Both sides have had their share of misinformation. This ISN'T misinformation. This is not knowing what you are talking about. She wasn't trying to "skew" the information, she just got it flat out wrong.

And yeah, I am gonna hit the roof when someone flippantly makes comments about things that can be harmful to a huge group of individuals who already have too many hurdles to deal with. Especially when those folks include my kids.

57 states in the USA? clinging to guns and religion? trying to tell us that higher taxes for wealthy and tax credits for people that dont pay taxes ISN'T socialism? That's not misinformation, that's not knowing what you're talking about.

You don't know your politics....You aren't doing enough reading, watching, or maybe you just don't care because it doesn't directly affect you. Well it affects me and yeah, I'm going do and say anything I can to protect those who need it.

Please. Just because I don't agree with you doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about or what is important to me. Your accusations of ignorance are founded in the fact that I can't rattle off how much I know about fruit fly research.

That's what I have been saying all along, You don't care cause you don't know. You are just spewing at the mouth because you don't like that I am passionate about this and don't mince my words. I don't have time to add sap, it is what it is and that is how it is going to be said. This isn't rage, it's commitment to something that is very important to me.

spin spin spin, dont you get dizzy? Me saying that I don't care about who you've chatted with doesn't mean I don't care about the subject. You can be passionate about something and not attack the people who's opinions don't align with yours.

You have no clue what it is like to be in my shoes, and it is really obvious by your responses you will never "get it".

I'd never want to be in your shoes. I'm tolerant of other peoples opinions and thoughts... you're not. If I have to think like you to "get it", then I would rather not have such an angry and one-sided world view.

Topic...look it up.....

spin? the world doesn't revolve around you, your the only one spinning....

you didn't mention one thing on topic. Obviously you didn't get passed "stupid" to see what was all said in the original post...

but why should that suprise me? you probably didn't even look at the video either just like the article.....

end of discussion.....

I personally wish this thread was an airport, where agreeing to disagree would land on both wheels, and bring:

Peace.

Happiness.

And tie the brotha and sista, together.

Love one another, though we disagree.

Best wishes

Chillen

That doesn't even make sense. You're rambling incoherently now.

and inserts foot.....Good lord.

Her STUPID comments about Fruit fly research is about the most ignorant thing she has said yet!!!!

How dumb is she??? Does she know NOTHING about how much it has done for the advancement in Autism and Fragile X??!!???

For Gods sakes, she has a child with Autism!!!???!!! And yet doesn't even know how this sort of research has brought us closer to understanding just that!!!

I can't take much more of her stupidity........

****rant over****

everything I said was in regards to the topic of the thread, but just disagreeing with your viewpoint. I watched the video, she made a stupid comment, but still doesn't deserve the personal attack that you unleashed.

BTW, her child has down's syndrome, not autism.

.... good talk

There's just something about her that I don't trust, which leads me to distrust McCain even more. She reminds of another certain governor (or former governor) that played as a puppet for republican party and wasn't so handy with words...hmmm can't seem to put my finger on who that is...

All politics aside, both candidates made rather foolish decisions for their running mate.

You're entitled to trust and distrust whomever you choose.

I happen to distrust Obama because of all the lies he's been able to get away with because of the MSM - affiliations with ACORN, Ayers, Wright, Rezko, he practiced Islam for at least two years (not that it's a bad thing, just that he lied about it), he can't validate that he's a natural born citizen, donations from FMae and FMac.

Also, his relationships with Saul Alinksy, Farrakahn, Frank Marshall Davis, and Odinga really make me question his perceived direction for America.

Sure, McCain and Palin's records arent spotless, but they've also been investigated and reported on extensively. The majority of the facts have been shaken out.

SkianS40, unfortunately, Palin is sinking McCain's ship.

I think McCain would make a far better President than Obama. But having Palin sitting in as VP just kills it for me.

What do you believe are Palin's strengths?

All this arguing and saying this is the most important election in our lifetimes is crap. Does anyone really think that either of these 2 douche's can save us?

Its going to take more than a president from either party to dig the economy out of the ****ter.

**** it I'm shredding my drivers license and going to live in some compound somewhere.

...and what is McCain's perceived direction for this country? you don't think he has lied, or at least misguided the truth?

I've kept an open mind all year up until a few weeks ago, weighed in the pros and cons. I don't think either one is perfect for the nation, both have their flaws. But any argument against one candidate can be turned around on the other, so it wouldn't be fair to water down this thread any further than it already has.

Needless to say, the campaigns are drawing nearer to the end, thank heavens, and no matter what happens, at least Bush will be out of office. Cheers for that

Be careful what you wish for ;)

It can always be much, much worse :D

ILM, I agree - Palin isn't helping McCain's campaign. Which is a shame because she's got a more positive record of success and executive experience than the Democratic presidential candidate. However, she isn't nearly as good at dodging questions on topics that she knows little about.

IMO, Palin's strength's are in area's of:
- Energy independence (ANWR anyone??)
- Economic beliefs
- Executive experience
- Second Amendment rights

Let me start by saying that McCain is not my ideal candidate, but he does represent a certain level of limited government. *cue the barrage of McSame comments* I truly believe that the individual is capable of making the correct choices for themselves and government does not have to have it's hands in everything. Cutting government spending, cutting taxes and appropriate regulation/deregulation will straighten this mess out.

I do disagree with him on abortion and immigration, and dont think his health care policy is a great option, but it's certainly better than our other choice.

gotfit - this post is officially hijacking your thread, and for that I apologize.

I'll agree with you on those points. In fact, I agree with your entire post.

do you have a link to this info?

“Berg also alleged that there was insufficient evidence that Obama had been born in the US, and challenged the veracity of his Hawaiian birth certificate [certificate image]. Surrick dismissed the case, finding that Berg lacked standing to bring the suit because he did not face direct harm even if the allegations were true.”

Note the dismissal of the case… He still hasn’t provided evidence, Obama and the DNC have just kept pushing for dismissals. If he was born in Kenya like his paternal grandmother reports, he will not be considered a “natural born citzen”.

Also, before you respond with the image of the birth certificate that was posted on FactCheck.org, it has already been proven to be fake.

In regards to studying Islam – I actually read this in a book, which referenced Obama's own book about studying Islam, but here's some info anyway:

“He once got in trouble for making faces during Koran study classes in his elementary school, but a president is less likely to stereotype Muslims as fanatics -- and more likely to be aware of their nationalism -- if he once studied the Koran with them.”

That’s directly from the Barack Obama website… so how can he turn around and deny that he’s ever studied islam?? Again, I don’t care IF he has, but it bothers me that he lies about it.
