Here lies the root of the problem with your argument. I made comment a about making decisions for my family, you spin it into me being a heartless person who wants all disabled children to suffer, people to die from breast cancer, and all puppies to be hit by cars...
You made a comment that is like broken glass. Your remark encompasses different topics of ideas you never even mention prior or explained so the rest of us know what you are talking about.
I am and have been sticking to the topic which is the comment on fruit fly research.
If you are going to expand the discussion I would appreciate if you could clarify what you are talking about by prefacing it first.
Palin made a less than informed comment during a speech and you hit the roof about it. Again, take a good look at the opposition and you'll see that they make just as many uninformed statements as well, but you don't see me flying off the handle about their intelligence or ethics.
Yes, they have. Both sides have had their share of misinformation. This ISN'T misinformation. This is not knowing what you are talking about. She wasn't trying to "skew" the information, she just got it flat out wrong.
And yeah, I am gonna hit the roof when someone flippantly makes comments about things that can be harmful to a huge group of individuals who already have too many hurdles to deal with. Especially when those folks include my kids.
You're losing sight of the fact that Palin is a proponent of funding research for special needs individuals. She screwed up the facts of an initiative that she's working on and you made very HATEFUL and RUDE comments about her efforts and accomplishments.
No, I'm not, because no she's not. SHe flaps that lip of hers and say that, but if you READ what she is actually doing, she isn't for them at all. She can claim that all she wants DS kid or not, but if she had a clue what she was saying or even cared, she wouldn't be suggesting to execute such a farce. Did you read the article I posted?:
Thirty-three years ago,
the federal government adopted a system in which it would shoulder 40 percent of the burden of educating disabled children, while states would fund the remaining 60 percent.
At the moment, the U.S. government spends just under $11 billion annually on the program,
whereas it would have to devote $26 billion a year to live up to its initial commitment.
A Palin aide who asked not to be identified said that the campaign would ask to spend $45 billion to fund IDEA over five years, though the funding would be backloaded and start at $3 billion a year, rather than the $15 billion a year required to fully fund the program.
See how much she cares? She wants to RAPE a program that is ALREADY underfunded and I'm suppose to smile? F---- that.
You don't know your politics....You aren't doing enough reading, watching, or maybe you just don't care because it doesn't directly affect you. Well it affects me and yeah, I'm going do and say anything I can to protect those who need it.
I'm sure your proud of all the accomplished people you've rubbed elbows with, but I honestly couldn't care less. I never claimed to be any type of expert on medical research, I never even said that I agree with Palin - I simply pointed out the fact that you're obviously full of rage and hate for someone that has and is making a fair effort to reform government spending.
That's what I have been saying all along, You
don't care cause you don't know. You are just spewing at the mouth because you don't like that I am passionate about this and don't mince my words. I don't have time to add sap, it is what it is and that is how it is going to be said. This isn't rage, it's commitment to something that is very important to me.
Speaking to people who can inform you about your childs condition isn't an accomplishment, it's called caring. It's called doing what you can to improve the quality of their life. Since you don't have kids, much less kids who have special needs, I don't expect you to understand.... You have no clue what it is like to be in my shoes, and it is really obvious by your responses you will never "get it".
