Weight-Loss No binge, no purge - one day at at time.

Weight-Loss
Lama is it the time of year or what. I don’t know . I am sorry you had a tummy ache but am glad you have done good today . I
did not binge today but ate very well . Nothing too bad .
Last night I was thinking I could just have one day off plan totally , eat everything I feel like and just start again the next day .
I don’t feel like that today . Thankfully.
I am pretty sure I wouldn’t do that because I can’t face the indigestion and the heart burn and I know it would carry on .

Hey LaMa, glad to hear that today went well for you, today is really all that matters. I've been there on the post binge belly ache, not a good feeling, but it never stopped my eating.

Petal, I agree with LaMa, that is good. For me, and it sounds like for you sticking to the plan is quite important.

No binge for me today, and not too much temptation. Even managed to pass on my Cousin's wedding cake.

Tomorrow may be challenge, I get to Baton Rouge and will be seeing another cousin, mother's side redneck. His wife is out of town and he says he has big plans for us, fortunately cousin D's old strip joint is long shuttered. He mentioned that its crawfish season and oysters. I really like both, and will try to keep it to boiled crawfish and raw or steamed oysters, the lowest calorie version. He also likes to drink, so I may have to sip very slowly, maybe I can use the designated driver excuse. I'll find a way through it.

Let's not binge tomorrow.

Rob crawfish and oysters sound really good . Designated driver a good idea . You are doing so so well. I don't think I could have said no to wedding cake.

Just a quick post from Baton Rouge, very poor internet here.

I don't know about a binge, but I ate a full 3 lb plate of crawfish last night. I have no idea what that is in calories. I do know its a lot less than 3 lbs of meat. Tonight will be another challenge, I will do my best.

Let's not binge tomorrow.

"Low Calories in Boiled Crawfish. Crawfish are a terrific low-calorie food. Crawfish are high in protein, low in fat and contain zero carbohydrates. There are only 327 calories in one whole pound of peeled crawfish, and it takes approximately seven pounds of peeled crawfish to produce one pound of peeled tails. "
Yum!

I am not throwing in the towel. I will get on top of this again. Therapy tomorrow and I'm exhausted just thinking about it. But I can do it and I'll get home in time to have a relaxing bath, which is much better than chocolate. Maybe I really have just been doing too many things lately. Not used to doing something social every day, even after work, and it makes me kind of nervous.

Thanks, Cate, that discovery lead to me eating another pound tonight, 4 lbs total, about 200 calories. Crawfish are great diet food.
I am not throwing in the towel. I will get on top of this again.
Good for you LaMa, keep after it and you'll find a way. I know you will.

Lets not binge tomorrow.

Tonight's crawfish, different Louisiana town, same crawfish, amazing only ~200 calories!

Hey LaMa, good for you! Assuming "knackered" means something good anyway, not a part of my lexicon.

No binge here.

I have however been doing more research on the crawfish, I am pretty sure the calorie counts I used were just for the tails and I suck the heads as well. I could not find anything specific to those calories but I am sure there are a few more, not enough to have made my crawfish dinners a binge, but a few more. To Suck or Not to Suck? A Definitive Guide to the Most Controversial Crawfish Question

Let's not binge tomorrow!

A knacker, knackerman or knacker man, is a job title used for the centuries-old trade of persons responsible in a certain district for the removal and clearing of animal carcasses (dead, dying, injured) and rendering them down into usable things. So when you´re knackered you may still be useful but not to yourself because said self is dedd. In humans it just means extremely tired.
I´m in favor of extracting as much as possible from any animals we kill so I say suck :)

Also: I did not binge today. Instead I voluntarily ate raw kale. And enjoyed it.

Thanks LaMa, you never cease to amaze me, your grasp of the English language would be impressive enough for a native speaker, for someone who is not a native speaker it is truly amazing. You've add yet another word to my vocabulary, one I know better than most the words I now use.

And I am happy to see you did not binge today, that is great news!

No binge here either and not too tempted for my first day home. All is well here.

Let's not binge tomorrow.

We use knackered all the time . I’m a bit knackered today .
I overate yesterday even though I didn’t intend too but back on plan today .

well done LaMa and Rob on not binging

I binged today. Had some chocolate late in the morning, felt sick, skipped lunch, and got home so hungry I gave up control.

Hey LaMa, been there and done that too many times. I am sure you can and will recover just fine. Keep at it.

Petal, overeating a bit is not the same as a binge. From what you said on your diary it didn't sound bingy, but you'd know.

I did not binge today, but I am beginning to feel some of the old cravings coming back. I guess the not wanting to eat thing was just too good to last. Strange as it sounds in a way this is more comfortable, certainly a lot more familiar.

At your super-low (supra-low?) calories I think wanting to eat is healthier. But definitely not easier!
