New to Everything

We all get hung up sometimes, especially at our TOM, so don't sweat it, or rather, do sweat it, but I mean by exercising. Losing a pound, gaining a pound, this week honey, who can tell? I always put on about 4 pounds for 2 days after I have a really big hike (like 10+ miles - say at the Grand Canyon, which I do a lot) and it always bums me out, but I know it's just some weird swelling that magically goes away on the 3rd day. You don't know that you only lost 1 pound (which you should be proud of anyway), since your body wants to retain water & now you won't be able to tell anyway until you get all that salty mexican food out of your system. So say "whatever" and keep going with the healthy eating & exercise. That works and we KNOW it! Be good!

Hey stranger~ Hope all is going well. Drink that WATER and don't give up.

You Can Do This And I Know It Gets Old But Dont Give Up Keep Focused On The Goal And The End Enjoyment!!!!!!!!!

Well, I'm over the honeymoon phase that lasted 9 weeks. I have now had pizza. I have still been loosing at WW, but I still am trying for that 10%. I am only .6 away from it and it seems a million miles. I'm still doing the curves and I think its cause muscle weighs more so that's what's going on. Also being kinda slack about my water- sorry Jells! Last friday I weighed i hoped for that 1 lb. for my 10% and she said it was only .4 loss, I cried all the way home, went to bed and cried myself to sleep. I'm trying to be good this week but I'm finding its really a full time job!

Don't be too disappointed, we all have slow times (or if you're me, times where you'd swear the needle on the scale is glued in place), and believe me, the only solution is to put your head down and charge forward to break through it. It's tough, but important. You can do it.

Hey there! Haven't checked on you in a while. Sorry to hear about your frustration. We all know how it is. When you work hard and don't get the results you want, it gives you a futile feeling at times.

Just don't give up, you have come a long way and you can do it. We are all here for the long haul to support you through your ups and downs. Just take one day at a time.

Make sure to get that water, your weight loss will be hindered if you don't.

Well peoples, I am still here and hovering around the same weight. Hopefully this week I will break it. I'm trying to pump the H20 since I've been slacking. Maybe that will do it. I'm still with the program though, but did have a piece of pineapple upside down cake when we had company.:(

Hey there! I just wanted to stop in and check on you! How is the Curves coming along? Are you still liking it? Hope you have a great week!

You Can Do This Girlfriend And I Know It Gets Old But Keep Focused On That Fianl Goal And How Excited And Happy You Will Be!

Yes, I'm still doing curves 3 times a week. There's this woman who works there that acts like a drill seargent and tries to get you psyched and she gets on my nerves. I go when she isnt there, lol. I thank God for Merida light buns and bread. A whole hamb or hot dog bun is only 1 pt! Is that cool or what? Oh, btw, the scale said 199 one morning but I think it was still asleep.

Go and talk to your leader hun that’s what you’re paying the money for. A lot of the time the members that have been there for a while are your best sores for weight loss so have a chat with them as well.
Im doing ww as well hun so if you need to have a chat im here.

Well, I've got a dilemma. I'm really trying to watch it today because I need to weigh 202 at weigh in, and my friend is having her birthday lunch at this place (diner actually) that is very greasy and not really good. Matter of fact, I stopped going for breakfast with everyone because it was so unhealthy. I don't want to let her down cause it's only a couple of us, but the idea is not at all appetizing. Am really thinking of making a turkey sandwich and eating it there. Wonder if that would be allowed? Sheesh, rather stay home with Lean Cuisine.

My advice, take it or leave it, is to eat before you go, and then have some no-nutritional value iceberg lettuce salad with low fat dressing. It will get you out of the peer pressure, and if they try to press you to eat something greasy or unhealthy, explain politely but firmly that you're trying to do something good for yourself and eat healthy foods, and that you're there for the company of your friends, not the food. Hope that helps. It does take quite a bit of willpower though. Eat bulky foods before you go, like the turkey sandwich on the most fibrous bread you can find with huge amts. of veggies, plus some broth based soup. If you're genuinely full (and on healthy, low-cal, filling foods), you'll have a really hard time slipping up.

:D :D :D thanks mp, I did just that. I ate a lean cuisine and only had a glass of unsweet tea when I was there. The other 2 girls both had a plate of french fries! Well, fess up time, one had brought a cake and I did have a piece of it. But that was all. Then I had went to curves earlier, and a 1 hour walk last night, so I hope at least some of it was burned off. I have a question, does anyone here talk on yahoo messenger?????? Anyway, I am off to a long day, but will check back later. Love ya'll!!!!!
