Nelly's diary ^^

I gained 1kg or more after drinking 11 beers one day and eating 800 or so cal. The next days I ate at 1000 to 1200 cal. And I'm at 88.9-89.1 omfg. This morning I weighed 89.1 !!! :frown:
I need to eat under 800 cal and avoid one day binges…..
Today I ate under 800. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be back at 88 or 87.

Let what you did yesterday and before go, what matters is what you do today. I suggest you just get back onto a healthy diet, don't try to starve today for what happened yesterday.

Lots of us, most I'd guess have problems with binges. Take a look at the no binge thread (https://weight-loss.fitness.com/thr...ne-day-at-at-time.111089/page-13#post-1077023 ), if you think it might help you are welcome to join us. The only qualification is a goal of not bingeing today, for the rest of the day anyway.
drinking 11 beers
Been a while, but I've done that, and worse. Doesn't feel good the day after does it?

Oh, goodness, Nelly! That cycle of too-much of something, then semi-starving can't be good! I'm with Rob - forget about what happened the day before yesteday - today is the only day you can control, so today make what you eat (or drink) really count - for good health and for feeling good, and the weight will fall into place.

Nelly, this is not healthy, attempting to starve yourself is setting you up to binge, you are not giving your body what it needs to be healthy.

Hi, I'm Nelly :lurk5:
I'm an 18 yo (almost 19 :frown:) swedish-french gal......

i remember 18... almost 19... i was just finishing my freshman year in college. i managed to pull off a 3.2 GPA which was a relief... i had to keep a 2.5+ to keep my scholarship. big tip to new college students... much, MUCH easier to drift down to a 2.5 when you start off with a 3+. i certainly had bouts of excessive drinking, but i played soccer from April through November and ice hockey when i could over the winter. i never had a weight concern until i got into my 30's.

you are at an age when you can abuse your body and it will tend to rebound. but just because you can get away with it, you've got to decide (albeit with some restraint) if you should get away with it. being smart(er) sometimes will pay off later in life. take it from someone who is later in life. if you have some bad habits, at least get some good habits.

I've been stuck for a week at 88 kg… at 1000 cal a day
It happens, that's the way our bodies work. However at 1,000 calories a day you are losing fat, no way not to be. Your body just has a bit more water in it than a week ago. Keep up the good work and you will see the weight go down, its guaranteed! Just can't guarantee when.

Rob´s 100% right. There are so many things that can influence the amount of water your body is holding onto: salt eaten, your menstrual cycle, unaccustomed exercise, battling a cold, standing for hours - sometimes I even think artificial sweeteners make me retain water. At 1000 kcal you already have to be very focused on what you eat to keep your body healthy and happy. Unless your body is in a total panic, you´re icecold all the time and notice you sit still as a statue all the time you are most definitely losing fat (and probably some muscle) at a fast rate and the scale will show it soon.

I lost two kilos in the last few days. I weighed myself after a week or so of avoiding the scale. Was expecting to be at the same fucking weight or more. Was so happy when it read 86 :))))

Smaller steps are always better than one big fast step with weight loss. You're doing great!

Goals for November:
-Get to 84 kg

-Get to 82.9 kg (the lowest weight I ever was at in the last two years)
