My Secret Strength Garden

sday, you know what I do to take care of my pizza craving....I take a pita bread and split it in two so that I have two rounds...top it with some shredded cheese (the kind I use is 110 calories for 1/4 cup and that seems enough for both rounds)...then stack on some veggies and put it in the toaster oven. I totally feel like I'm eating two personal size pizzas. And it's pretty low in calories.

Hope your spirits lift. I know how hard a depressing this journey can sometimes be. But you have to keep that chin up! You are doing something positive for yourself and your rewards are going to incredible. Be happy that you are starting to take care of yourself. Sending you tons of hugs!!!!

Oh, Sday--I'm sorry you are feeling grouchy :( This weight-loss business IS frustrating, isn't it?

One thing: have you taken a hard look at your nutrition? If you aren't getting enought vitamin C, that might be contributing to your crankiness. Try eating an orange s-l-o-w-l-y and see if you feel better.

If not, go to a movie. Pack some healthy snackies in your bag and laugh until you feel better!

You CAN do this!

I'm feeling much better today. :) I'm allergic to oranges, but really sweet thought. :)

Silver Sonnet -you know it! But I didn't slip! Which I'm proud of! I've been feeling miserable for 2 days and I didn't even consider slipping as an option. Chuffed! :p

You guys have been amazing! All the support has been vital to me getting my head straight. Thank you!

Ooh by the way! 5 kilos celebrated today!! Ya-hey!!

I am planning a small trip to France when I conclude my diet. Be a bit of an anniversary too since my partner and I haven't spent it together this year..

Scarlett, I have made your pizza idea with tofu cheese and it's beyond belief yummy! *Slurp*

Later ladies and gentlemen! Be good! :D

Sday~

you are moving right along!!!! Great news on the 5 kilos, congratulations!!!

And I'm so glad the pita pizza worked out for you. Makes me think I might have one for lunch!!!

Have a great day.

Hello girls :) Thank you for your inspiring as always mail ;)

I think it's so  funny that I didn't realise it as a big deal at all losing 5 kilos till Scarlett said it.

It really helps with my diet, the fact I have a "binge day" planned. It's like all the things I wish to eat right now, I chunk in a date I know I might not even bring to life, but even if I do, it will only be a day.

As Mrs Bear says it will be character altering when I have a very unhealthy diet for a day and then change back to my diet the next. That is something to look forward to. Seeing how strong I'll get.

I broke my middle finger on my right hand and I find it really hard to type, so I'm really sorry for not being very active lately.

Love reading your diaries and progresses though.

This is a treasure of a site when looking for support.

(Ate loads of pickled stuff yesterday. They are yummy in salads. Make them so much more flavoursome!)

My love!

Sday~

I didn't realise it as a big deal at all losing 5 kilos

It's totally a big deal. 5 kilos is 11.023 pounds!!!! It's also 20% of your goal already gone!!!!! Come jump up and down with me!!!!

Now.. On Monday and Tuesday I've been good and dandy in all but 2 things.

1. I ate pickled veggie that was a hell of a lot saltier than I thought. Both my face and body swell up almost immediately! I look as if I was stung by a swarm of bees overnight..

2. Drunk much too little water!

(, which was funny considering I had salt intake after 2 weeks. - I usually drink gallons!-)

Today I did better though. I had microwaved broccoli tomato and cucumbers in my salad.

My weigh in is on Sunday so I have 4 days to work on upping my exercise. I only do 20 minutes of walk a day now.. And it's not because I get tired too quick. It's because I'm lazy! So I decided to do me some proper sweating tomorrow. Otherwise, I'll never catch up with you guys!:p

Good luck with the challenge! I'm right here cheering!

Sday~

HA HA...you cannot say no to the Sisterhood!!!!! Wow, we're already getting a rep, huh?

I totally feel for you about the swelling up.... I learned a hard lesson about that and now I'm checking the sodium in everything.

And girl, you are not lazy!!! Don't even talk like that. It just takes time to train our bodies to by physical when they aren't used to it. But I guarantee once you get in a groove and you like the way it feels, and ultimately you like the results you see on the scale....you're just gonna keep on walking and walking...just like Forrest Gump.

Have a great one!

As long all that trouble doesn't get me looking like him too.. :p

Thanks Scarlett. You always act as a "feel good" injection :D

xxx

Drunk a tonne of water today- 4 and a half litters to be exact. I’m very very terrified for Sunday's weigh in.
Problem is that those pickles acted as ice cream and chips on brownie pieces chocolate chips and caramel syrup with extra whipped cream and cherries!
I am seriously bloated and uncomfortable. I don't know what to do about this water retention. I know that diuretics are very bad for you since they flash out all your minerals and vitamins out of your body. I've read up on water, and doctors argue that water intake may either bloat you even more or cure you..

I'm desperate! I'm like a pregnant woman what with trunk ankles and all.. Not blimey fair :(

Hope you are all doing very well!!

My love,
Sday~

Hello all!

The day hasn't been too bad today.. I spent most of it sleeping..

I think it's that TOM again about to visit. My scale lost control and keeps adding miserable answers so I'll ignore its existence till after I start and finish.. Doesn't do me much good torturing myself..
The good news is while you're on it you burn more calories and you can actually consume 500 more than your usual calorie intake! Ha-ha! One thing favouring women for a change... :p

I’ve been feasting on microwaved artichoke hearts, oyster mushrooms and broccoli the past 2 days. Really good and filling! Miam! Just a squeeze of lemon needed for dressing. Brilliant salad!

Keep up the good work you all! Have a good Sunday :D

Sday~

Awww, sorry to hear the bloating is still there. TOM can really wreak havoc with our bodies. You know a gallon of water weighs over eight pounds? Think about it...it wouldn't be that difficult for us to carry an added gallon of water evenly distributed through our bodies. Looking at it that way, in a volume sense, it doesn't really seem like much. But that's EIGHT POUNDS!!!!

Don't let the water weight get you down. Just eat lots of raw fruits and veggies while drinking all your water and it will eventually flush out. Just don't get down on yourself until that happens. Keep your chin up!!!

hmmm your microwaved veggies sound rather nice and not something I've tried myself yet. Really must have a look into getting some mushrooms in (I love mushrooms so much). Your veggies will also be boosting your metabolism so I bet the pounds will start dropping off again once you've finished your TOM.:D

Thanks for the visit ladies! Sorry I wasn't around to offer you tea and “go aheads”… :p

I ate tonnes of sugar free sweets today. I desperately, like a mad woman can't stop thinking of Mrs Bear's Gateaux, or just chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, chocolate bars and chocolate coins in red net

At least the bonbons made it a little bit easier..

I am contemplating on whether I should have a binge day or not as I've been semi planning since the start of my diet. Is it a good idea or not? Hmm... Strange how I don't know if I WANT it anymore... :D

I had 2 big plates of microwaved broccoli and some cucumber today in addition to one of Scarlett’s yummy pizzas for lunch.

Other than that bread, I barely touch it for I'm very poor and very sensitive to wheat and yeast products..

You better all be good to the little angels inside you. Courage men and women of all ages and statuses!!

xxx My love,

Sday~ :)
