Hip Raise and Leg Curl (Feet on Stability Ball) 1x10 both legs +
Leg Curl 1x5 each leg

Dang that one leg ball bridge is tough. I couldn't list a time because I was too busy trying to master balancing on the ball without falling off. (Which of course means I wasn't actually on the ball for a long time at time lol). But I'll keep at it.

So you actually stand on the ball for the workout? Jeez, that sounds hard but fun.

A little bit higher in weight this week, but that's because I've not been as diligent as I normally have been with the food plan. This will change for this coming week.

No, not stand on the ball - for a ball bridge my shoulders would be on the ball and my feet on the ground. See attachment for picture. But what I'm doing now, one leg would be stuck out parallel to the ground.

Did pretty well considering the leg hasn't completely healed yet. However, I'm out of antibiotics and have to wait til Wednesday to see the doctor *sigh*. Patience is a virtue I'm told though - so will have to hope for the best.

Edited to add: 30 minutes Treadmill - (One Minute Warmup); L10 Incline, 3.0 Speed, 14 minutes; L11 Incline, 3.0 Speed, 13 minutes; L15 Incline, 3.0 Speed, 2 minutes

Although the numbers are staying the same, form is improving greatly - I feel stronger, not only in the leg, but in general. This is a good thing.

An update on the leg - went to the doc's today, and got a clean bill of health. He's been suggesting I get bloodwork for the longest time (I haven't simply because I have to fast, and when I get home from the gym I'm so hungry I just get dinner as quickly as I can.) but this time he's sweetening the deal by suggesting if my numbers are low enough (hba1c, bad cholesterol, etc) that he'd reduce my meds. This is a good thing, and worth a night of hunger pangs.

A brief addendum: When I went to the doc's office, they weighed me and I came in at 239 (about 7 lbs down from my last visit about a month ago - I'm guessing it was mostly added water weight from the infection). However, the diuretic I take decided that as I was leaving the doctor's office would be a good time to really do its thing. Naturally, when I got to the gym, I made a beeline to the restroom, and answered that particularly pressing call of nature. Then I changed into my gym clothes and hopped on the scale (the one I usually use) and weighed in at 236. The highest recorded weight I was at (in Jan '05) was 354, making the total lost around 118 lbs.

I am so happy for you!!! You are such an inspiration to all of us! And I'm also glad to hear about your possible med-reduction! That is so exciting! :D Keep up the great work!

Workout 3/29

Spinning - took the early class today, and am glad to get it out of the way. Feels good having done it and gotten it out of the way. Maybe I'll do this more often.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone.

Shellsy, like everything else you work up to it. You get a little better everyday til one day you realize that you're doing it along with the rest of the class. :)
