Respect your elders.

Don't expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund. Maybe you'll have a wealthy spouse. But you never know when either one might run out.

Don't mess too much with your hair or by the time you're 40 it will look 85.

Neither are appropriate for weight-loss motivation I know, but very appropriate to me today as we were about to fly out on Monday for a holiday to Italy & France, without much spending money & a negative balance in our credit card! Not a good start to a holiday. Our Super company have really messed us around & have only just put the money in our bank account overnight. Insisting on talking to a supervisor & threatening to change companies if we didn't have it by lunch-time today is what did it. Today is the first time in a month that I can relax & really start looking forward to hopping on that plane!
Battery is dying. Better fly (pun intended!)
