Weight-Loss March Challenge!

Weight-Loss
I told you last week that I wouldn't lose any weight.. and I was wrong.
However, this week, I'm on springbreak and have had LOTS of junkfood and beer/wine/vodka :p so i'm pretty damn SURE this week
I feel way chunky and haven't stepped on the scale because I'm scared lol.

I mess up the whole month, but I guess.. THere's always next month! :)

lol sooo i was unable to get on the forum for a month... and i kinda lost my whole drive
but im surprised and happy to say that i stuck pretty close to my goal... even with drama in my life =P
hopefully over the next few days i can actually reach my goal ^_~ good luck everyone!

I've been weighing in on Sundays, but I won't be on tomorrow so I updated my final weight today.

I only lost like 2% of my weight this month, but I'm satisfied that it's coming off.
 
Hey LFM, almost 5 lbs in a month is great! Good job! :)

Angelica, did you type that right? 8 lbs in less than 4 weeks? That is really good for being less than 200 lbs. That is more than 1% per week! Awesome!

We will see what tomorrow morning says for me. I think it will be 196 again but I'm not too upset. I am still slowly going down and I actually think that is good because I'm training pretty hard and I have read studies that say for athletes training hard, they will maintain more muscle if they lose slowly. I will need the muscle for my triathlon on May 3rd.

So didn't even come close but hey a loss is a loss right at least it wasn't an overall gain so I'm ok. I know next month will be better though cause I am really gonna buckle down and kick my ass into gear. Congrats to all those who lost and big congrats to those who met your goals this month.

March 1st starting weight = 199.0
March 08 = 197.0 (-2.0)
March 15 = 198.0 (+1.0)
March 22 = 196.0 (-2.0)
March 29 = 196.0 (-0.0)

Total March weight loss = 3.0 lbs or 1.5% in all.

So some of your weekly percentage losses were better than my entire month's percentage loss. I'm happy though and fully expected the last 10 lbs to be a PITA! I only have 7 more lbs to lose to reach my weight goal. This coming week is the last week of my Gold's Gym Challenge. We take final measurements and photos on Friday. I also only have two or three personal training sessions left. I will try to use them up this week. Also, as of today, my first triathlon is in exactly 5 weeks. In a way I have been training for it for nearly 10 months but over the past week I have slowly been focusing more on endurance swimming, biking and running and less emphasis on weight training. After this Friday, the last 4 weeks will be almost entirely devoted to swimming, biking and running with only light weight lifting 2 or 3 times per week. I really believe with the extra calories I will be burning that I just might lose those last 7 lbs these next 5 weeks. My dream triathlon would be to step on the scale the morning of my triathlon and have it read 189.0, then go out and win the swimming leg, do better than I expected in the biking leg and then jog the entire running leg without stopping to walk. I am pretty sure I will cry when I cross the finish line.

yeahhh derrick =] thats how much i have been losing!
haha once i hit 185 i will have officially lost 30 pounds...
and if i hit it before april 12th... then it will be in less than
3 months!!! =D

March 9 = 198 (Goal: 196) Sad face, I'm not sure what happened - I had a large caloric deficit. I WILL make it up next week
March 16 = 198 (Goal: 194) Sad face again... but I promise you this will be the last one
March 23 = 193 (Goal: 192)
March 30 = 192 (Goal: 190)


Total March Loss: 6 Pounds

Percentage lost: 3.1%

Well, I came in 2 pounds shy of my goal, but I still feel wonderful about my progress! It seems everyone did well this month. I know I want this weight to be GONE before summer gets here. No more hiding indoors - this year I will be pool-side :) See you guys in the April challenge?

To find your percentage
Take your starting weight - ending weight = Pounds lost
Then divide pounds lost/ starting weight and get the percentage lost

Start Weight Feb 28: 168.2 lbs
Weightloss goal: 4% = 6.73 lbs which would take me to 161.5 lbs!


March 7 = 167.8 (-0.4) Worked out SO hard this week while eating really well... Frustrating
March 14 = 166.6 (-1.2) Slowly but surely
March 21 = 165 (-1.6)
March 28 = 167 (+2.0)
March 31 = 166 (-1.0)

Total loss in March: 2.2 lbs :/

Thanks parkp02. It's just that I was hoping to lose around the same amount as I did in Feb. That was 10 lbs.
