Hey guys,

Couldn't see a March challenge yet so I thought i'd jump in. Stolen the idea from DeepGreen...hehe...sorry.

So....

Let's try to lose 1 percent of your body weight a week for the month of March!

Feel free to change the weigh in dates to suit your needs. Don't worry if you don't lose 1 percent, do the best you can

Copy & paste to your own post and update it weekly.

Start Weight:

March 8 =
March 15 =
March 22 =
March 29 =

Total March Loss: __________________

Percentage lost: ___________________

To find your percentage
Take your starting weight - ending weight = Pounds lost
Then divide pounds lost/ starting weight and get the percentage lost

GOOD LUCK!

So...me first! If my calculations are correct, a 1% loss each week should have me lose just under 9lbs, getting me down to about 209.

That'd rock! hehe

EDIT - okay, i've decided to tweak mine to boost my confidence a little! Rather than trying to lose 1% of WEIGHT each week, i'll try and lose 1% of body fat as measured by the machine at the gym. SOOOO much more attainable as i'm doing a lot of weight training at the moment!

I don't know my start body fat %, but i'll just start including it now.

Start Weight: 218

March 8 - 218 (well....it's better than going up isn't it!?)
March 11 - Fat % = 47.7 Fat weight = 47.5kg
March 15 -
March 22 -
March 29 -

January? Don't you mean March? ;)

Well I'm on board but I am going for 1% of my body fat per week. The Gold's Gym Challenge ends April 3rd for me and my primary goal when I started on January 9th was to achieve 10% body fat and right now I am at 14% body fat. So I'm going to fight like hell these next four weeks. The math is about the same since I am 199 lbs so either way I need to lose about 1% of my body weight or 2 lbs per week...same as last month's challenge. Guess I need to step it up because last month I only averaged 1 lb of weight lost per week.

Starting Body Fat Percentage: 14% (171 lbs muscle, 28 lbs fat)

March 8 =
March 15 =
March 22 =
March 29 =

Start Weight Feb 28: 168.2 lbs
Weightloss goal: 4% = 6.73 lbs which would take me to 161.5 lbs!

I'll try my best!

March 7 =
March 14 =
March 21 =
March 28 =

Starting weight: (Feb 28) 184lbs, Goal: 169lbs (- 15)

March 8 =
March 15 =
March 22 =
March 29 =

Lost 10 pounds last month, so I'll set that as my goal- though I hope to lose more!!

Start Weight: 161.0
March 8 = 157.6 (-3.4 lbs)
March 15 =
March 22 =
March 29 =

I'm in! My weight has been fluctuating a lot recently and I want to reign it all in. My spring break is in April, so this is a good head start for that.

8 pounds is a lot for me, I haven't been losing very quickly, but I will do my best. Even a 1 pound total loss is better than nothing!

Start Weight: 195.0

March 8 = (193.5)
March 15 = (191.1)
March 22 = (189.2)
March 29 = (187.3)
