Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

My adobe pie tonight was particularly good. Using the Taco seasoning in the beef made it taste wonderful. As best as my calculations can tell, it checks in roughly at the 800 calories I set aside for dinner. Which is crazy because it tastes like fat man food.
 
317.5 this morning.


Yesterday was my first day with a new personal trainer. It's a woman this time and somehow I think the ladies on this board got to her and told her to torture me as payback for all of my bad jokes here. It started off nice and slow and easy, and by the end of the workout I was sucking air.


I like it. It seems like a good time to change things up (my weight loss has stalled a bit briefly) and certainly working harder now that I'm in a little better shape can do me some good. Hopefully today's workout won't involve a training regime taken from a kung fu movie. I don't want to be beaten with bamboo sticks.
 
Currently baking a homemade pumpkin pie for thanksgiving. Made everything except the pie crust. Even bought a pumpkin and de-fleshed it.


Somehow I wound up with more filling than would fit in the pie crust. Not knowing what to do, I made my self pumpkin pie french toast and put it in the fridge for tomorrow. This is good because my kitchen looks like it's been ransacked by monkeys. Might not be functional for weeks.

Haha funny, in my experience female trainers are always the meaner ones too! Must be a global thing. Then again, I think when I go to see a trainer male ones are quicker to make assumptions of my abilities than women are, because I am a female.
 
She's actually very nice. She's just working me hard. Since that's her job and I haven't died yet, so far so good.
 
318.5 the morning after Thanksgiving. Had a nice feast with the family. My pumpkin pie turned out good, I think.


Have to get the work in today but my quadriceps are still quite sore from the personal trainings on Tuesday and Wednesday. I mentioned to the new trainer that the elliptical tends to set my quads on fire and so she decided that working those would be good: wall sits.


So I want to get a good cardio in and maybe a little strength training to go with it, but without working my quads very much (want to give them a few more days to rest and repair). Any thoughts?


The good news is for once I think Little John's rowing machine does not fit the bill here. :biggrin:
 
With random strangers on the street (and then inevitably with the police)? Or with a punching bag?


There's a mall near by, I could go find where Santa is and box him. Punch him right in his jolly old nose. Teach him to put me on the naughty list.


Maybe I'll do that tomorrow. My trainer had me working on the punching bag last week, so maybe I'll keep doing it. Quads feeling a little better.
 
Lol a punching bag that punches back! Seriously though I love to box, it's the most fun you'll ever have doing cardio. Whether you're hitting a bag or other people...
 
318.5 again this morning, but at least the Thanksgiving scourge has now passed completely.


Hoping to maybe get to at least 316 by next Friday and that will at least not be too bad as it would be around 7 pounds lost for November.


Losing 55 pounds was pretty easy. I guess it's time for the real fight now.
 
I appreciate that. Hope all is well in the birth country of some of my ancestors. Ain't never been. Hoping to go someday. Maybe when I drop below 200 I'll make the trip.

thanks for stopping by my diary - haven't seen much of Berlin yet, too much work keeping me in front of the computer all day, but I can't wait for the current project to finish on Tuesday so I can go exploring!


I don't quite equate German techno and the last circle of hell (that is reserved for the likes of Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, and a few select other individuals), but I was actually thinking of the Metal/Goth/Industrial direction (now where is that smiley with the little devil horns when you need it ...)


And congrats on your loss so far, looks like you've lost a small human's worth already!

316 this morning as hopefully this is the start of another uninterrupted downward march, this time all the way to 299.


A busy day today so going to the gym is probably out. I'll try and keep my activity level up as much as possible. I have personal training tomorrow so I probably shouldn't over-exert anyway.

Quick question on the boxing: If I'm hitting the heavy bag, do I need to go out and buy some small gloves to protect my hands (or maybe some tape) or am I good as long as I don't start trying to crack skulls?


It sounds like a great way for me to mix things up, particularly on days where my legs are shot from the previous days workout.
