Heya Lisa, I was checking out your journal and seen you were trying some other exercises other than walking, what happened?? I know that from doing stretching and a bit of weight work you could be slimming down your body and would notice really great results. Walking is totally great dont get me wrong I walk my dog twice around my subdivsion at night, here's a page I found with some pretty good articles of things you can do at home with or without equipment,

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/bbinfo.php?page=TrainingatHome

well keep up the great work your doing, you certainly are helping out alot of people here.

Hi Fitski,

thanks for the link. You are so right...I know I should be adding some resistance training and overall just do more. I have a plan to start using my Nordic Track next week. Wish me luck. I'm going away for the weekend, so I can't start earlier, but Monday ... I will post in my diary!!!

Tuesday cont.

Snack: Cheese, Peanuts and Peppers
Dinner: Schnitzel and Zucchini

Wednesday:

started off bad - no time for breakfast at home, so I grabbed something fast out of the freezer - Cinnamon Buns:eek:

I already had both of them and a Zone Bar and it's not even Lunchtime. For Lunch I brought sandwiches, but I forgot the veggies at home:(

Well I hope it gets better at the end of the day...no plans for dinner yet.

No walk with the dog this morning either:(

Guess I can call today a write-off..............

I can't believe that it has been over 2 weeks since I posted:eek:

and the worst part is, that I still don't have any positive development on the exercise front:(:(:(

Well - in my defense...I had a week (almost) off and just enjoyed doing nothing and relaxing. My eating has been ok, not great but also no major sins. A couple of slips with icecream, tortilla chips and popcorn, but I am not feeling too guilty.

All in all I am quite happy, other than the fact that the little men in my ear every once in a while whispers something about exercise. I do walk my dogs and I try to alternate between jogging and walking - maybe not all the time, but often.

I'll start writing down what I eat again, so I won't get a shock in a few month.

Wednesday:
Breakfast: Slimfast Shake with Protein Powder, Blueberries and Silk
Snack: Zone Bar
Lunch: Nectarine & Grapes with Yoghurt (some almonds and cereal mixed in) and Turkey Bacon
Snack: piece of Blackberry Cake
Dinner: don't know yet - probably some kind of wrap

Beverages: 1.5 mugs of coffee (halfcaff), 1.5 mugs of decaff both with sugar & milk, approx 2.5l of water

for today so far...

Breakfast: Blueberry Shake (same as yesterday)
Snack: Low Carb Crunch Bar and one cookie
Lunch: Yoghurt with Nectarine and Grape, Almonds and Cereal and 3 slices of Turkey Bacon
Dessert: Two pieces of chocolate

Beverages: regular amount of coffee and decaff and up to now 1.5l of water

Exercise: Twice around the field with the dogs...

Lisa, It seems like you do really good with eating except for the cake.
Maybe if you don't keep it in the house, allthough... I know If you are
married or have kids it's hard not to have certain things like cake and
goodies available for them. For motivation, I have found a few things
I buy womens fitness magazines like, fitness rx, shape or mind, body &
spirit Fitness. They really help to motivate me and are loaded with ideas
for exercise, educating articles, and pictures of women with tummy's
that I'd love to have! Also I have to friends on weight watchers and I talk
to them as much as possible and we update each other with our progress each week. Oh and one more thing..."You have a Nordic Track and you don't use it"!!! That is a great way to boost metabolism, burn fat and tone up.
I'm jealous. I only have a treadmill and working on getting an eliptical machine.
Anyways keep up the good work and watch out for that CAKE! :D Tina

HI Tina,

thanks for the suggestions. I usually don't bake and don't buy ay either, but I have a very nice mother in law and nice colleagues and then I just can't say know. Luckily it doesn't happen too often, or does it and I'm just not aware:eek:

When we got home last night our Puppy greeted us in the driveway and not from his Kennel. We were happy that he was there at all, but not impressed that he got out. On top of it he had a not so nice smell on him - who knows what he found to roll in - so we gave him a bath outside. He wasn't too happy at first, but neither were we. It wasn't exactly the nicest day...
Anyway, after about 20 minutes we had him nice an clean and smelling good...
