Currently I use either apple, pears & grapes or blueberries (frozen from last year) Strawberries are just arriving in the stores, so I think I will switch to them within the next few weeks. I am not a Cantaloupe fan. It's very hard to find one that actually tastes good - I must be doing something wrong when picking them out. Anyhow, my husband doesn't like them at all, so I try to get fruit we both like to eat.
I think the cantaloupe problem is that they are rarely ripened on the plant and naturally. Certainly the ones I get are pretty well tasteless! However, since I amalgamate them with various dried fruits, I don't notice the lack of taste that much
The problem with Grapes is the high sugar content.....sheesh, one can't win, there is always something......
Actually my downfall is salt. I have salt cravings all the time and that's a real pain.....
