Thunderstorms are amazing! A bit jealous over here...

I hope the rest of the week goes well. :)

I really love a good thunderstorm, we actually had one this evening in Utah, one of our 4 or 5 a year. With the mountains and clear air here they can be pretty impression. Nothing like Florida's though. Enjoy Kimmy, by November or so it will cool down.

Does any of you meal plan? I was thinking of writing down possible planned meals, so I know exactly how many calories are in it without having to constantly log it before eating it. That is one thing I don't like about trying to lose weight. Having to log everything you eat. I think I would rather try to pick from a "menu" with the calories already calculated out and keep to that for a day.
I'll set my goals and achieve them all!.jpg

Goal #1: Switched to Splenda in my coffee with some creamer.
Goal #2: Been doing my squats and pushups. But usually only 30. 3 sets of 10. And these are on my toes, even!
Goal #3: Been hard to stay motivated to do this one. But me and the hubby have thought of an idea to use small placards to remind ourselves to do something. So I will try doing that.
Goal #4: Been drinking Gatorade zero lately and staying away from the soda.
Goal #5: "Ride my bike to work." Still working on buying the bike light. I had to buy stuff for the boys for school coming up soon.

But, I have lost 2 lbs just by doing what I have been doing, so I'm getting there...slowly but surely.fff0534b118470bca115c24de0e4b632.jpg

Hi, First time poster to your diary. I like the inspirational quotes and sayings. Great job on losing those 2 pounds and following your goals! Rob

LaMaria: There might not be that much difference between the two, but for now, that is a better option than soda, so it's a win for me. I have been looking up on flavoring water naturally, like with fruits and that sort of thing, so I will probably try that soon.

If it helps you to get to healthier eating patterns it's all good. I was just curious because Gatorade is extremely rare around here.

Back down to 150 lbs today! Yay! I think cutting out the extra sugar has helped a lot, because, other than only eating when I'm hungry and only eat till I'm full, I don't pay too much attention to my calories.

Other points, though, to make that I have been doing is: I've been eating more scrambled eggs for breakfast, eating on smaller plates and moving more.

Moving more is good! Wasn't there a Honeymooner's episode where Ralph went on a diet and was limited to eating only what he could fit on one small plate? As you can imagine he got quite creative in filling that plate. Maybe it wasn't the Honeymooners, but it was some old TV show. Anyway I sometimes find using smaller plates helpful too.

Hi there, kimmyluna! Congratulations of how you're achieving those five goals - and great that you're seeing results!
I really like the saying you've posted, that it's okay to fail, the master has failed more times than the novice has even tried.

SMART goals...ever heard of this one? I like the idea...stands for Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic Timely. If our goals are smart, I think we might get somewhere!

I finally bought the stuff for my bike! It should arrive by Friday! I ordered a seat cushion, rechargeable bike light and a 3 in 1 rain poncho. I'm so happy I finally was able to get it!
Me, most evenings_ ...jpg
Lol, how perfect is that picture?!

Good news, kimmyluna. Go you!
