Wow, 5 lbs in one week! Good job!

I was already back down to 198 this morning and it wasn't even due to a long visit to the toilet. :smilielol5: Maybe I can even hit 196 by next Monday?
 
i don't think i'll win cuz i cheated a bit this week with carbs! oh well hehe. i also went up one lb from my lowest low... sigh.

Jenny Craig is alright. Most of their food tastes good. I've been doing it since November 3, 2008. I started at 249 and now I'm 212. :hurray:And I've only actually been working out since the middle of April when my boyfriend, Sean, bought us a Treadmill.

It was quite expensive to join, around $400, signed up for like 3 years, but I joined with my Mother, so I'm unsure how the individual rates go.

All I know for sure is that I only buy 4 days worth of food and it's around $70, plus, I have to go to the grocery store to buy the veggies, milk, yogurt, etc.

I was paying for 7 days of food, approx. $130, but in February I moved in with my boyfriend, so not wanting to be selfish and enjoy going out to eat and learning to cook, I told JC that I could only buy 4 days. They are a bit pushy with their products, but otherwise okay.

I was on Jenny Craig when I was 16 years old. I am 27 now, so I'm sure a lot has changed since then. But I lost like 60 lbs doing it, but the bad side is that I gained it all back because I got tired of the food and it didn't really teach me how to eat regular food that wasn't packaged. I remember it being about 100 dollars a week for the food...
 
Well done to all you losers out there, and heads up to all those (like me!) who gained last week, lets make this week a good one, no more excuses, I had a bad day on tuesday, no exercise and too much bad food, but back on track today, and planning on gym tomorrow, come on ....we can do it!

How long did it take you to lose the 60lbs?

I was thinking of doing Jenny Craig but as you said they don't really teach you how to eat on your own. The weight watchers frozen foods sometimes go on sale for $1 each around where I live. I almost did that as well but didn't like the ingredients... too unnatural.

Looks like countingthecals is in the lead after the first week with a 6.2 lb loss followed by mom2 at 5.5 lbs. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!

You are both very motivating to everyone else in this group to lose some serious weight next week! And I don't doubt that we'll see some serious numbers dropping next week from everyone!!
 
So today I did a longer-than-I've-been-used-to-lately workout. I went for a 15 minute jog this morning and then went straight to Body Pump which is an hour long barbell class!! 75 minutes of exercise today ALONE!!! Soo happy!! AND I even added more weight to my squat, back, and chest tracks!!! YAY!!! :):sifone:

I did an hour of aerobics this morning. Now I will have a coconut bath and celebrate my 1st week's success :p

Have been eating big all last week, so not really surprised I didn't lose much this week! Yesterday I weighed in at 114.2 (251.76 pounds) but I am up a bit this morning, and as it is the official weigh in .. blah blah :p
 
Its already the 14th, but every time I stop coming to the forum I seem to gain the weight back ..ugh

Newbie joins the race.

Hello everyone. It's half-way through the contest, but I figure I'll join in anyway since you all seem to be having so much fun. :)

The name's Jake, and I'm 24. I'm trying to balance out my meals with more vegetables and ixnay the snacks and replace them with fruits. I'll even try to cut down my usual serving size. But my biggest strategy is exercise, because I have a lot of different things that I do that'll help me shed the pounds. My goal by the end is 212. Here's hoping!

Small loss for me, little disappointed but just happy I didn't gain!
I know exactly where I'm going wrong, have improved my diet slightly this week, but could still do better and I only went to gym twice, goal for this week is 30-40 mins exercise Every Day!!
