ok technically its only midnight on 7th, but I won't get to weigh in tomoro (8th) so posting my weight now. I'm 23 and 5'7 and have been trying to lose weight for 4/5 years now but just lacking the motivation and drive required despite the fact that I desperately want to lose it, I'm hoping this group might be the kickstart I need, long term goal is 150, goal for end of june 180.


Well done to everyone so far, I'll be here cheering everyone on for week 2 results tomorrow!

I'll join this challenge too. My name is Derrick and I've been losing weight for a year now. I tend to lose in surges, recover for a month and then surge again. I am hoping this will be the start of my final surge to get to my ultimate goal of 10% body fat. I technically start tomorrow but I do remember my weight from last Monday. ;)

I lost 6.2 lbs in a week which is unhealthy but I was sick, otherwise I support an healthy weight loss. But I feel good, I can't deny. :)

Ok off to a good start, my goal for the first week was 5lbs so thats good (this was in large part PMS related). Goal for the next weigh in is -3lbs. Then I will be more 'realistic' on goals.

Happy Monday!

So I lost 1 lb.... But that is okay!!! I am stoked. One pound is better then none. I did my exercises only once last week. SO I know where my problems are. This wee is all exercise and good eating. :gnorsi:

Mom2~ Congrats!!!!! YAY! that is a good amount to lose. Keep going... Stay positive.

So I lost only .6 lbs. This is good though considering I drank on Saturday night AND gave in to a lb of chicken wings and some chips just before bed last night. That will NOT be happening again haha.

Congrats to everyone on their first weeks losses. I am going to push hard this week and aim for a much higher loss next week. I have a goal of being 150 by June 25th so I NEED to PUSH MYSELF!!!:hurray:

Jenny Craig is alright. Most of their food tastes good. I've been doing it since November 3, 2008. I started at 249 and now I'm 212. :hurray:And I've only actually been working out since the middle of April when my boyfriend, Sean, bought us a Treadmill.

It was quite expensive to join, around $400, signed up for like 3 years, but I joined with my Mother, so I'm unsure how the individual rates go.

All I know for sure is that I only buy 4 days worth of food and it's around $70, plus, I have to go to the grocery store to buy the veggies, milk, yogurt, etc.

I was paying for 7 days of food, approx. $130, but in February I moved in with my boyfriend, so not wanting to be selfish and enjoy going out to eat and learning to cook, I told JC that I could only buy 4 days. They are a bit pushy with their products, but otherwise okay.

WOW their prices are quite a bit higher than Nutrisystems. I'm really glad its worked that well for you though. Thats so AWESOME!! The Nutrisystem that is offered for the states allows you to buy 7 days of food or 5 days but the one in Canada only has the 7 days. I do feel kinda bad because I can't really go out and have dinner with my friends or anything. But I think they all understand my want to lose weight. I wouldnt spend 350 on a diet system if I didnt lol.

Booooo! At least it's not a gain... which I'm kind of surprised about as a lost my food diary, went for a night out with A LOT of alcohol consumption aaaaand started back at work, which meant I was having food from work for dinner... it's not unhealthy but its not healthy (especially when you have a slice of chocolate brownie wedding cake... it was far too good to be true!)

Anyway, back on track!

I lost 2 pounds week one of the June challenge, I am happy with that, as I had a pretty big week with visitors staying for 4 days... and a bit too much of drinking in particular!!!

June 1: 116.1kg (255.96 pounds)

So I did cardio 6 days this week instead of just 3 and made sure my strength training days were done well and I gained lol.. go figure.

my weight loss has slowed down this week, done exactly the same as the previous week though..but its a loss anyway :)
