Hey Everyone!!!

I used to be right into this forum and losing weight and I just recently came back here to get things moving again. I have packed on a rediculous amount of weight and am eager to shed it as fast as possible.

What better way to do that with a little bit of competition?!

This will be the June weight loss thread! Everyone join as soon as you can!!! We will weigh in every Monday since this Monday will be June 1st.

I was looking through the May challenge and I noticed there wasn't very much conversation going on in there, so lets try and make some new friends this month as well. We can discuss our workouts, accomplishments, and difficulties as the days and weeks go by. Let's help each other and motivate each other to lose some serious weight this month!!!!

I look forward to meeting lots of new people. Maybe we can give a brief intro when we each join as well.

My name is Amanda I'm 21 years old. Just graduated from college as a Chemical Engineer Tech. I am using nutrisystem and exercise as my method of weight loss.





Also... If anyone has any fun ideas that are not too complicated that would make the challenge a little more exciting please feel free to share your ideas.

OH what the heck.. I am in! I have never told anyone my weight before, so this is a first :blush5:

My goal for this month is to get below 110 so slightly more than 6kgs (13.2 pounds)

June 1: 116.1kg (255.96 pounds)
June 8: 115.2kg

I'm in! My weight loss challenge at work starts tomorrow also.. so maybe if I commit to this too I'll stay on track! I'd love to be at or under 170 by the end of June. If I can keep my diet on track I think its possible. I am at 177-179 right now(it jumps back and forth for weeks before finally going down -_-)

I started my nutri system diet last monday and I'm already down 6.6 lbs which is great!! Today I plan to do a Tae Bo tape. I did the tape yesterday and took like 3 breaks inbetween. I'm hoping I can improve today. Went to the bar yesterday and resisted ANY drinks! They didn't have diet 7 up or ginger ale so I opted out!! :) :hurray:

I am using Jenny Craig / Treadmill / Mirroring my Boyfriend's Strength Training Exercises as my means of losing weight.

Okay, so my hubby is coming home from deployment, hopefully by the end of the month. SO I am in and I will try to lose what I can :sifone: I would love to see 155. If not, at least in the 50's

Welcome don't worry about joining late. Nice to meet both of you! Veronandez how do you like Jenny Craig? I was debating signing up for it but they didnt have a price on their website so I opted for Nutrisystem. Is it working for you??
 
So on wednesday I went to the gym to do a step class and I found out that the class is CANCELLED for the rest of the season. The only other class they had running at the time was a spinning class. I was nervous because I didn't think I could handle it. I've done many spinning classes when I was fitter and they are soo tough. I decided to give it a shot and did much better than I expected!!!! HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT!!:smash::coolgleamA:

Jenny Craig is alright. Most of their food tastes good. I've been doing it since November 3, 2008. I started at 249 and now I'm 212. :hurray:And I've only actually been working out since the middle of April when my boyfriend, Sean, bought us a Treadmill.

It was quite expensive to join, around $400, signed up for like 3 years, but I joined with my Mother, so I'm unsure how the individual rates go.

All I know for sure is that I only buy 4 days worth of food and it's around $70, plus, I have to go to the grocery store to buy the veggies, milk, yogurt, etc.

I was paying for 7 days of food, approx. $130, but in February I moved in with my boyfriend, so not wanting to be selfish and enjoy going out to eat and learning to cook, I told JC that I could only buy 4 days. They are a bit pushy with their products, but otherwise okay.

WTG! It's always awesome to find out that you can do something a whole lot better than expected. ;)

My name is Collette and i'm 23 years old. I have a goal of 30 lbs in two months (June & July), but i'm hoping for 50 lbs.

This will be my first challenge and I'm quite excited. However I started my diet on the 3rd of June. I'm guessing I was the same 281.0 lbs on June 1st as I was on June 3rd. This challenge will probably make me want to wait to weigh instead of the whole everyday weighing thing.

Adeon~ I would love to do a spining class. I never have. But I know people who have done it and I see amazing results. Keep it up girl...
 
Im in! A little late but i started my diet on June 1st :)

My name is Jo..I am 28 yrs old..I weigh 181.6 lbs. My highest weight was 240 a few years ago and thanks to this forums' support and motivation i was able to get down to 160lbs.. I have fallen off the wagon a year ago and gained 20 lbs, But am determined to lose it and more :)

I try to power walk 4 miles each night..and Eat healthier..



Goal for June 173-175 lbs
