Thanks Kimberly. Oh, i am not a vegan, though I wish I had the strength to be. I am a vegetarian. therefore i do eat dairy products and egg products.

I didnt know there WAS a difference!!!......I think it is a fine day when ever I learn something new!!!!.....
Your meals and exercise are all looking well thought out ...was that burrito a bean one or a cheese one?? Also...where is the fruit and veggies???....Need to get those in everyday!!!
 
fruits and vegies

the burrito is a kosher pizza burrito, (i am not jewish but I check out the kosher isle because they do have a lot of vegetarian choices) its very good, It has texured vegetable protien, cheese and a very good sauce. so the cals are just right and i get some protien and they are fairly inexpensive.

Fruits and vegies, yes i am very bad about them. I love fruits and vegies but here is the problem. fruits have a lot of cals and don't fill me up. and vegies- i get brocoli in my ww fet alfredo and I have vegies on the weekend. i am just too tired to prepare much at home after work and they don't work out to well for lunch. when i have my hummus toubuli wraps, i do stuff them w/ greens cucs and carrots. I will try to do better though.

the sorbet i eat is pretty much just pureed frozen fruits w/ a little fructose, so i think it counts. the container notes a lot of vitamin a and c.

I was wondering when i was going to get into trouble w/ someone on here about the fruits and vegies

It is tought to fit in all the fruits and veggies, isnt' it? I find it particularly challenging since fruit and veggies usually require chopping and fussing and I just seem to like things that involve wrinkly shiny wrappings!

I have problems with veggies too. Green beans, lettuce, bell peppers, that's about it. That's the wonderful thing about vitamins and daily fiber!!!

I did not make it to the gym again today. I got up in time but i saw all the dishes on the counter and did not want to come home to them tonight, buy the time i was done it was a little late for the gym and i was in the mood to clean (strange) so I did all of my weekend chores except for putting the laundry away ( I have to wait for jeff to wash the laundry first). My thought in all this is that I will have time for a hike tomorrow because all of my chores are done :) I need a hike. it has been too long since the last one.
I did ride my bike to work 200 cal and will ride home 200 cal

Julie, you look like you are doing awsome! So you didnt make it to the gym, but look at all you did get done, the hike sounds like the perfect plan! YOU BEETER DO IT!

I would love to go hiking; I have been trying to find a bushwalking club for the last few weeks with no luck so far. Have a wonderful weekend.
 
Hey Julieann!.....My non fruit /veggie eating team parnter!!!!..lol
I am going to let you on a little secreat of mine........I WAS NOT a big fan of fruits or vegetables either!!! It was like I was the wicked witch of the west and they were water...and if I ate any I would surely melt to my death....
But now....I MAKE myself eat them.....Some people have to take daily medication.....My daily medication is ( at least 5 servings) of the vegetables and fruits. And there are different ways of squeezing them in........For instance..i went to subway....I had whole wheat bread, turkey meat, swiss cheese....mustard..then I had them load it up with lettuce, onions, spinach, pickels and cucumbers and carrots bell peppers. Topped it off with salt and pepper...and some vinager. IWhen I eat it I try not to think how weird it may taste....I think of how healthy it is..how full I am getting....and that it is wayyyyy better than one slice of cheese pizza!!!
Also sometimes my lunch will consist of nothing but a whole can of green beans with a pad of smart balance..some garlic salt and pepper......Salads I make interesting by adding pickles...f.f crackers or croutons..( I read the serving size)...maybe some salad toppers...and f.f ZESTY italian dressing!!!!......I hate tomatoes..but I cut them up real small ....so I will eat them in my salad.....As for fruits....I take turns of biting an apple and chugging my water........or peeling a orange while I read my emails...
This is from a gal who thought a whole box of little debbies made a great lunch!

non of the food I ate was fried or had any oil.

so my total cal consumed for the day was probably around 1400.

I am trying to keep my calories low today because I have to go to a party w/ Jeff tonight right at dinner time. I do not know what to expect, but I will try to be good. I may have a drink to ease my nerves, i won't know anyone except Jeff and I am very uncomfortable at parties when I do not know anyone. I get shy and wonder what everyone is thinking about me. Not to mention there will be a bunch of brainiacs there (Harvard Doctorate students) that just makes things worse. I will try not to use food to make me feel better.

I know it looks worse when you write it all down, but all in all you didn't do so bad, considering the situation. The oz of brie was probably the most deadly!!!! Anyway, it was one evening and you planned for it, you enjoyed yourself, and now it's a new day and you go on and don't look back at it. Don't worry, we are all doing fine and Group 2 will still come out victorious!! :D
 
thanks for the encouragement April. I know the brie is bad but it sooo good. If only i had the strength to be vegan, i would do much better. being vegetarian does help though. it makes eating out difficult especially fast food. pretty much the only fast food i eat is Taco bell ( i love taco bell, it was actually the first two word sentence i said when i was a baby, well not quite a sentence)

well the rest of yesterday i ended up eating too many cals again. I was hungry all day, it must be because i did not go to the gym. for some reason i do worse w/ food when i do not go to the gym. also too many nutrition bars. they do not fill me up very good. on tuesday mornings i work at a state office ( I am the Liason between my company and the MA Department of Public Health HIV/AIDS Bureau) and can't make my breakfast at work so i just have nutrition bars for breakfast and morning snack.

I have really been slacking on strength so i will try to something tonight. It is very difficult for me to work out after work though. i get home at about 6:30 and have to take a shower right away becuase i stink from the bike ride home. by the time i am done w/ shower, go through mail, feed cats, and feed myself it is usually about 7:00-7:30pm and i am wiped out. I will try though.

I am worse on my food intake when I do not work out.......Thats why Sundays are so scary for me.....But could you be about to start your monthly?....I could eat a waterbuffalo when I am about to start......
 
Vegies

Kimberly, no, not that time of the month, i'm on Depo so I haven't had a visit ( i forgot all the names you guys had for it) for about 6 years. i do not have any names of my own for it. It was never really that bad for me, more of a nuisance than anything.
The weight watchers meal had broccoli in it. I might have a V8 for my afternoon snack that counts for 2 veggies. I just can't get into carrot sticks, they are good with hummus but i buy them and forget about them or am not in the mood and i waste them. Produce is way too expensive here to let it go to waste not to mention the produce is very poor quality. another problem with vegies. I think i will have some broccoli tonight though, we just bought a big bag of frozen broccoli from costco and i love broccoli.

Hey in weight watchers, most vegies have a zero point value right? so do I have to count the calories in my vegies?

The weekends are the easiest time for me to exercise because I do not have to get up so early to do it. Maybe you could go for a long walk on sundays, maybe go to the beach. walking on the beach is a great workout.
