Good job on the exercise. Considering all the exercise you may want to consider eating a little bit more healthy food.

Note: Ok, trying to post pics I took of my tilapia/salad meal.....it's one of my favorite inventions, but an error is coming through...as soon as the forum sorts it thru I will post it.

Thanks for the feedback Butterfly...I am being supervised by my nutrologist and other doctors on my meals. Most of my food choices (even the not so healthy ones) are healthier and approved versions of items I am allowed to eat based on certain food restrictions...I do allow myself to have indiscretions twice a week on certain meals (note that not for the whole day, just 2 meals a week)...on those days I work-out harder because, well - I don't expect to eat bigger quantities than the rest of the week and a meal that I usually don't have on my diet and not see a change on scale...so I compensate on my work-out of the day. I guess it's also worthy mentioning that I have worked out regularly (at least 5x a week) for the past 10yrs, so these are relatively easy for me...unfortunately, no hiking for me while in Brazil, but in about a month I should start having sessions with a personal trainer for more weight lifting exercises...hopefully, I will have reached my goal weight by then and not worry too much about portion size, compensating on work-outs since my goal won't be to lose any more weight but intensify toning/build lean muscle mass.

Weight Today: 55.1kg/121.4lbs

Had a big drop from yesterday, actually, I think this week my metabolism is working all that it didn't work last week...I am starting to wonder if the medicine for bacteria/worms that my doctor prescribed has anything to do with it, since I am actually eating more these days and that was the only change I made to my routine.......other than that, I see no differences/side-effects from taking it (ps: since I am only doing my other health exams - blood/urine/etc. on Wednesday - for now the medicine he prescribed is all homeopathic/natural...which works for me since I am not too fond of having antibiotics unless necessary, a sensitive stomach sucks!!!)

Food Intake: 4 spoons of sliced chicken breast (regular/eating spoon size)
4 spoons of white beans with broth
2 small cubes of pumpkin
2 spoons of shrimp soufflé
half of a banana
1 small apple
1 small tapioca with sugar spoon of butter and half cube of cheese
1 cereal bar
1 small slice of plain white vanilla cake
3 sugar spoons of passion fruit mousse

Went to grandma's house to celebrate that I have another little niece/nephew on the way, haha \o/

Exercise: 10km on treadmill
500 abs variation
40 arm curls (8lbs weight)

Ok, here earlier bc I am actually a bit worried...just did my weigh in for the day and it's 54.9kg (down another 200grms from yesterday)...considering all that I ate and worked out less yesterday, I wanted to maintain, but not drop more weight to slow things down a bit...I am feeling great, but this major weight drop so soon is getting me a bit worried...from Nov. 14th to the 17th (today) it has been 1.8kg in 3days, that's A LOT for me, specially considering that I am already petit...I really am starting to believe that the worms medicine my doctor prescribed may have something to do with it, I can't think of anything else...I will try to do no cardio today (a pain for me since that's a stress coping mechanism and energy burning source so I can get a good night of sleep) and follow my regular clean diet today...I don't want to be below 54kg, 54 is already a limit, so if this continues I may have to change things (diet and exercise) sooner than I imagined.

You'll sort it sweetie. Don't worry as that doesn't help. It may be time to up the food & reduce the exercise. Try to trust your instincts but talk to your doctor again to make sure. Take care, xo Cate

You are doing great CaliGirl! You are an inspiration for us. I admire your great determination with every day exercise and the fact that you don't binge eating. I 'll try to follow your menu. I would like to ask how much is your daily exercise time?

Hey Everyone,

Apologies for being MIA lately...this past week has been a bit crazy juggling work, school, family time and doing all the health exams my doctor asked me to do. I have a bit of a problem taking blood, because I am TERRIFIED of needles (seriously, I act like a baby...can't seem to shake off the feeling that something is being taken away from me when they get blood, and I ALWAYS end up fainting, obviously I am not screaming like a toddler...but I naturally have low blood pressure and few very weak afterwards...they took away a total of 17 tubes to perform all the exams my physician requested, and because I faint...I had to go back 3 times so they could get all the blood they needed...Yikes!!!)

With that, I took the liberty of not stressing about controlling food intake and working out as much, my body needed the break to just focus on keeping enough energy to "survive" for the week, Lol...I woke up today to 55,1kg so there hasn't been much damage...I am also not stressing in shedding the remainder 1,1kg fast since my metabolism is actually taking well if I eat right and work-out less, so as long as I don't go all crazy with bad eating and no working out at all...I should be fine.

I will try to get back to my routine...I am setting a goal to reach 54kg by the time I get to the 2month mark since I started this journey (Dec. 7th). Then I will have roughly 3 weeks to figure a plan to survive the Holidays without overdoing it and to maintain this body at least till July (my bday)...I definitely want to improve my fitness level (muscle tone), while keeping at 54kg...I have no desire of going below that.

Wishing everyone a week of love and positive changes!!

XOXX

Hi Caligirl. First of all, thanks for visiting my place as I greatly appreciate the support. Second, haha, you really seem to be quite the 'bundle of energy'....and I mean that in a very complimentary way. Your passion shows in your journals. I have no doubt you are going to achieve whatever it is you are seeking. All my best, and I will see you around here.

:svengo: No more fainting doll! *giggles* :D

I hear ya though.. When I got my shot the other day antibiotic/steroid cocktail, it had to go in slightly hip/bottom.. Had to lie on side and it was creepy and awkward! lol

Hang in there! :grouphug: This time of year can knock many people off track and off their routine.. Boy, can I relate to that! :p

Let's get back at it...it's much easier to achieve goals if I write down what I do:

Weight today: 54.8kg (it has been a yo-yo, this is the lowest since I last reported...but I have been around 55.1-55.4kg this past week)

Food Intake: 4 small bananas (roughly 2 regular sized bananas) - my dad brings to me from his farm
3 spoons of lactose free powder milk
2small guava
1 small orange
1 small slice of watermelon
Salad: 2 slices of beet, 1 asparagus, 1 small tomato, 3 leafs of lettuce
1 breaded chicken breast
4 small cheese bread balls with butter
1 1/2 corn in the cobb
1 chicken nugget

Exercise: 4.3km on treadmill
15 minutes on bike
20 mid-bridge elevation
200 abs variation
30 arm curls

NOTE: I finally got all my exams done yesterday (I had to go back yet again to the hospital so they could get more blood, apparently there was a problem with one of the samples). I am seeing my doctor again next week so that he can evaluate all the results...at first glance, all seems well with nutrition and hormones...I am a bit worried about a possible low blood platelets...a couple of people in my family have it and I ALWAYS have know that I had bad healing/clotting/susceptible to hemorrhage...though, thankfully, nothing major has ever happened. I don't want to get ahead of myself I will listen to what the doctor has to say about it...I am taking it easy on my work-outs and being less cautious about portion control......metabolism seems to be working well, as long as I keep it in the healthy food range...I am eating more fat and sugar these days and I think that leads to the yo-yo weight, for now my health is my priority...my body fat was in the athlete range so I am just being less strict to give me more energy.

Hello Caligirl. As i read your last post, i would like to ask you what is the right range percentage of body fat? And for a slim body what is this range for women? I have always heard about body fat but i don't really know the range for a slim body. Also i wonder how you can count the body fat and what is the better time of day to do this. Is it better to count it in the morning before breakfast because i think when you have a meal this percentage would change immediately but it wouldn't be the accurate percentage for body fat. When can someone count it and have the more accurate measurement?

Note: Tomorrow is my 2 month weigh in - by the look of it I won't get to 54kg by then, which was a goal = ( ~ I am in that stage where I am pleased with my results, but when I get something on my mind...I only relax after achieving it. That being said, I am super fit/tinny and so family keeps pushing food on me and I treat myself to it because at this point, oh well...I am not as motivated. I have another exam tomorrow (repeating the one for platelets per doctor orders) and I think sometime this coming week I will sign up to get sessions with a personal trainer, that should boost up my metabolism and also help me gain some muscle/lean mass (which I want to).

Happy 2months here!!! \0/\0/\0/ woot, woot!!

Weight Today: 54.6kg/120.3lbs ~ I am 600klgrams (1.3lbs) away from my final weight loss goal and had a total loss of 1.7kg/3.7lbs this past month. I definitely slowed it down on work-outs and food portions...given that I had AN AMAZING first month...if you told me 2 months ago that I would be this close to 54, I would be laughing at your face saying..."I know I am committed, but my metabolism isn't THAT fast"........the BIGGEST change I've made, at first I thought it was portion control...today I see it was eating less processed/refined sugar! I have always been a fan of fruits, but I definitely took up a notch these past 2 months and avoided 80% of times eating sugar. I still have it 2-3x a week (I feel rather dizzy if I don't eat my SUGAR SUGAR)...but, before this I used to have a small desert after lunch and dinner, and fruits during breakfast.

Ultimately, I am very pleased with everything...I can't wait to reach 54 and celebrate this accomplishment baking some chocolate/caramel brownies :hurray: Lol, life is about balance and I am definitely planning on rewarding myself. ;-) Then, it's on to maintenance till July...I plan on celebrating my 30th either by a Tropical Beach location...........outside with friends and family it's what I like!
