Journey to Knowing

Oof. Long day. Cool thing is I weighed in this evening when my weight is at its highest and I'm only 270.4. That means in the morning I'll be under 270. So happy. I'm horizontal. Body is aching and according to my phone's biofeedback, I'm highly stressed. May try to sleep for a few hours.

Hope you wake to feel relaxed & rested & I look forward to seeing that new weight :)

Woot! Down to 265.5! That's 21.5 since may 27. I've started taking pictures of my face with every loss. I am starting to see a difference. My hw weigh in is on Sunday. Can't wait to see that. Obviously something is working. Amazing what focused intention can accomplish.

Btw thanks again for the information about keto
I was definitely getting info from the more unhealthy sources.

If I'm feeling able, I'll go on a hike this evening. I'm pretty unsteady today with a bit of shaking so I may just do my improvised recline bike.

Long day. Half day in office. Still need to cook alpaca for tonight. Not sure I'd be safe cutting up the onion. Hands are still shaking a bit. But I'm hungry and that's the only thing I have for protein.

Think I'll go to bed early so I can go shoot photos in the morning. Have to help my cousin hang curtains and have a funeral at 1.

Yep. Hungry. Time to cook.

It's really good. Like a sweet beef. Totally superior to water buffalo. I bought both (human grade) for the cats when their supply source for ground alpaca/organs dried up. Luckily the shortage was short lived bc they won't eat either and I was left with a bunch of exotic meats. The alpaca is ultra healthy. I'm actually considering flying to Vermont to bring home more (I can fly up and rent a car for less than the shipping)

Busy day today. I can tell my body is holding on to water. I'll look back at my sodium intake.

Omg. Had berries on cinnamon brioche toast and a tiny bit of ricotta and scattering of granola. So good and only 350 calories. I've stayed under my calories but my sugar is over by 42 grams but all my other macros are within range. My body is tuckered out. Lots of climbing and crawling and carrying heavy stuff today. My hands stopped working on the last curtain hang so I'm glad I lasted that long.

We had an enormous amount of cherries that our son had frozen in one big lump in a garbage bag & they separated out easily, so I wouldn't worry about going to too much bother. I do recommend double bagging them though :)

Thanks! I knew it couldn't be too difficult. I'll probably pit these before freezing but I'm so excited. Last year I bought two pounds to freeze but my health got in the way and they went bad before I got them bagged.

I was nearly 1000k under my calorie goal for today. First time I've been that far under. I've got to be so careful bc I'll go into a non eating phase and that snowballs into binging. I cooked for three hours this evening and almost have everything I need for next week. Just an hour more cooking tomorrow. Tonight I've got to rustle energy to wash the dishes. I will sleep well tonight.

Ooo. I've never worked with rhubarb. Might try that next week. What's you favorite dishes?

Sleep was difficult to find but when I woke at 6 I felt fully rested. I fed the cats and headed over to the park to walk. The 1.14 miles that I could barely make a month ago is totally doable now. I will add another lap in two weeks. I did my calisthenics before leaving the park and my arms were jelly. My legs were just short of exhaustion. Its getting easier to stretch now. I bought ankle weights for my leg lifts here in at home to make them a little more challenging. I stopped and bought unsweetened tea. I had been off caffeine for eight years until I started this healthywage challenge. It's not effecting my nervous system the way it used to but I know my former doc would be very disappointed with me consuming it again.

Decided that during my morning conference call that I don't participate in, just have to listen, that I'll do the recline bike. It's really helped my leg strength.

Still don't feel like eating but I am. I know that pattern too well and I refuse to repeat it.

Oh and I'm down 14" total from ten days ago. I didn't measure anything but my waist when I started. I'm down 3" in my waste from a month ago. Should be able to wear my 22s in a couple of weeks. Happy dance!

I like the way you are slipping exercise in here & there. It does all add up & it makes you feel better. Well done on losing 14"! :)

Thanks cate. I can get ultra obsessed with exercise. Not doing that this time. I like how things get easier with so little effort. It's a new experience.

Really not happy with my intake today. Everything was healthy but too many calories left on the table and carbs were low. Lower than they should be. I'm having a challenge between hitting the right percentages and eating clean. If I were buying packaged food this would be a snap. But I steamed broccoli tonight when I was heating up my cabbage & turkey soup I made yesterday. And the mango was wonderful. Also cooked the sweet potatoes and eggies. Put jalapenos in this week. Should be interesting. Tomorrow is the water buffalo sloppy Joe's (paleo). Crazy how I've been looking forward to that all day. I went ahead and entered my meals through Friday. Planning is also new.

I upped my calisthenics today. Twenty wall pushups and squats. Also added a modified plank that I held to count of 30. Still doing toe touches (20) and side stretches (50). Instead of upping the side stretches I'll add lunges next week and modified crunches. If my shoulder does ok for the next two weeks, I'll move the pushups towards the floor. The weights for the leg lifts are perfect. Exactly what I needed. And when I remember I do arm curls and lifts with 3lb weights.

My digestive system does not like the high fat changes. I'm giving this another ten days then I'm going back to the traditional eating percentages of 50 carbs, 30 fat, 20 protein. Right now I'm at 40-30-30 but it's been coming out all in the 30s. Not working for me so far.

Other than the morning routine, not much movement today.

I watched a show on TV last night about exercise & it reminded me how much I love doing squats. You have now inspired me to start a routine tomorrow(I'm playing golf today). You are doing so well :)
