JohnnySolo's House

Thanks,

I’ve been on and off the wagon with eating. Cutting is not happening because I keep eating out and have no control. Can only blame myself.

I'll see what I can do about a bench clip.

I'm sort of like that ATM. I eat perfect at work, totally clean. But some evenings i may eat out or end up craving for a pizza/curry/burger LOVE IT :D

Weekends are my biggest downfall though, need to sort it out!

Keep it up Johnny lad.

I know the feeling, I work my ass off in the gym but it's out of the gym that I get lazy and lack discipline

LOL....You guys bust me up....Can I join this club??? :D

I totally ate crap for two days, but got back on the wagon.... wonder how bad I'm gonna have to pay for it! lol.........

Yeah, why not? We can grab a giant ice cream tub, get 4 spoons and watch Will & Grace

Not good on the original goals. I'm trying to fix that today by charting the food I eat. I'm going to try for 200-260 grams of protein a day and 3000 cals on lifting days and 2500 on non-lifting days. I've been going over 3000 lately, every day.

Is one of your goals to cut?

Dang!

I was just looking at your caloric intake....

I'm lucky to get 1000 - 1200 in a day. I can't even begin to imagine 2500 - 3000 now..

But, looking back at when I was a heifer, I could have done that so easily..LOL

Joint mobility & squat warm-up

Clean + OH press
1xbar x 10
1x95lbs x10
1x135lbs x 5

5x5 OH press(+5) 3 min rest
1s 170#x5
2s 170#x5
3s 170#x5
4s 170#x5
5s 170#x5

Felt like they got easier, but very heavy and hard work.

5x5 Deadlift
1s 260#x5
2s 280#x5
3s 300#x5 (got worried about grip)
4s 310#x3 (used over under grip. Back started acting up, so I stopped)
5s pass

3xF chin-up
2.5
2
2

plank
1.5 min

My knees have been hurting on off days when I squat into a seat or lift out of it, so I’m going to cut out squatting on OH press days but I’m adding in 5x5 for deads instead of just the 1x5. I might have made all the 4th and 5th set of deads but I haven’t been working with this kind of volume with them, so I’m playing it safe. My lower back feels tweaked now so I’m using ibuprofen now and tonight.

Diet remains the biggest challenge I find. Working out is the easy part and I'm definetely getting stronger. During work-outs I can actually see definition but I just know that it would be so much clearer if I focused more strongly on my diet. Ahhh, I love food and wine.... I kinda stabilized around 162 and am getting myself in the mood to cut down some more. Sounds like you're on the right track already. Good luck with it, stay focused.

We will keep working at it!!

I took vid of my squats and bench. I’ll get them up soon.

I’m not happy with my squat depth. Felt like I was deeper than that. I’m not going to bother trying to get deeper because I can’t do better than that even without weight. It’s only 215 on the bar but as you can see I could keep going with reps, I just have been sticking with the 5x5. My knees feel better now that I only squat once or twice a week now (bench days)

cool videos, AWESOME bench? How much you weighting in that video? Great job man, the squats looked pretty solid to me, keep it up and with practice and patience your goals will be met- But i'm sure you already knew that :costumed:
