My Curves does monthly, but... It's a year contract with monthly payments automatically witdrawn. If you quit before the year is up they take out 2 more payments for breaking the contract.
Hey, I know what you mean about feeling little with your man there. Mine is 6"6 and I'm 5"3". I got you beat. Mine wears a size 16! Of course he also weighs 430 pounds. So we're working on that!!!
 
That is some bs with curves.....do you live in a area surrounded with little old rich ladies or something??..lol
Christina is right...Curves is a franchise..so they have different owners....so they can do things different.....Try a different one.....My curves is $ 468.00 for a year..but they take 39 dollars out of our account each month.....
All i had to do was pay a one time member ship fee which was around 75.00..and they were running a "rest of the summer free"....deal so I did not have to pay that months montly charge......I hope you can find a good one!!!!

aahhhh thats the answer! He was saving it for your birthday right?

When I joined Curves (5 years ago?) there waived the sign up fee if we brought in a bag of food for the not so fortunate ones.... It was around this time of year if I am not mistaken. And we always got Curve Bucks if we wore festive socks on holidays, and we would cash them in for things.... but I dont remember what..... LOL
My mom has a bumper sticker that says "I Love Curves"... it was cute...
Thats it..... I wanna join again.... I'm going now..... I'll let you know what Mine says!

I think you can join curves online and maybe you can get a better deal.
I checked out their website a long time ago, so i am not sure.
Just a thought.
 
Okay, I called mine just now to find out all the info...
Mine has 16 machines (when I used to go I think they had like 10)
Right now it's 1/2 off to join so its $74...
Then they wanted to take $39 a month out of my checking.
I told her I do not have any kind of bank account.
She said I could pay monthly for $49 a month.....
mine is open 7-7 M-T...7-6 F....7-11 S.. closed Sunday

Maybe if you tell them you do not have a checking account!

oh yeah, and it is only a mile from my house, so when I get back into Curves (one day) I will walk there and back just like our pal Kimberly...

Thank you for the birthday wishes and the Curves info guys! There are a bunch of Curves around here, so I'll go check out some other ones!

My birthday was okay, kind of boring, but that's okay. My best friend and I went out for lunch and had some birthday cake and then I went to class. Unfortunately it was too late by the time I got home, so I didn't get to see Dan, but I'll probably see him tomorrow. I can't see him tonight either because I work until midnight. Sigh.

I was going to list everything I ate yesterday, but it was a big mess of crazy calories...lets see if I can recap: slim fast bar, juice, mixed drink, chips and spinach dip, pizza, salad, chocolate cake, english muffin pizza, chips, cheetos, grapes.

Okay, so that was a lot of food, and trust me, I got a stomach ache. I haven't eaten like that in FOREVER and I forgot how crappy it made me feel. It was nice to not care for a day though. However I'm still dedicated to losing more, so I'm back on the ball!

Breakfast Today:
Slim Fast Granola Bar (220)

Its a very cool song with a great bass line. Its from their album Bloodsugarsexmajik, which also has "Under the Bridge" and "Give it Away," which were two of their most popular songs. Great album.

Oh man, I went to Fort Lauderdale this weekend--terrible for my eating. I didn't diet at all. But now I'm back in Orlando and back in the game. I have a great salad plan...I need to make a trip to Publix to gets lots of stuff for different salads, then I'm going to pre-make all of them and portion out matching dressings. Its a really good plan. Have to go to Publix.

I saw my grandma over the weekend and its the first time I've seen her since right before I started dieting, so she was shocked to see me. She couldn't get over it. That was pretty cool.

Going out with Dan tonight. La la la.

I'll start posting food again tomorrow. It would be worthless to do so for this weekend.
