Inimitable

Nice squatting, i can't believe thats nowhere near your max effort either!

WD on the 1k rep POWER :D

I think it's fairly close if you're going with correct form and depth, the numbers I've posted well over 400 have been with the SM and you're always going to be able to get higher numbers with that

very nice squat numbers man. i mean really nice.
have you always been a great squatter?

Not really, I remember a few years ago when I managed to put a 44lb plate on each end of the bar and thought it was a huge weight.
I think I might need to up the unilateral work if I'm ever going to make the big jump up to 500lbs at any point

I think the key to my squatting development is variation, heavy is good but legs also respond really well to very high reps as well so I try and mix things up very frequently and squat at least twice a week.

I think being naturally crap at squatting is what's made it my strongest lift, I just placed so much more focus and imagination into trying to bring it up.

I'm a natural deadlifter though and now my deadlift is crap, probably due to complacency as I found it so easy to progress early on

It doesn't stop your wife from squatting on my face though :action10:

Anyway, can't be bother to post full details but for training today I managed one extra pull up, so 10x10x7 and moved up to doing DB power snatches with the 88lb DB's which is cool

I’m in a bit of an awful situation at work. I have a contract proposal out with a client which is just about to be signed but this client has just won a new account with a major airline which makes the quote I gave them too low. The problem is, if I flag this up to my bosses, the Director here that previously handled the airlines account while they were with a different client of ours is bound to take over contract negotiations which will take a massive amount of commission away from me!

It’s a tricky one, if I allow the deal to go through then my company loses revenue and I’ll get in trouble (but have a large commission payout) but if I flag it up then I’ll lose a deal and then be under massive pressure as my pipeline is low and I’ll lose loads of commission which I could really do with right now

I’m screwed whatever I do!

Here's what you do.
Take the money, go postal in the office with a gun, then come to Norway and hide in my basement.

The work situation seems to have worked in my favour, although it’s been replaced by a far bigger problem than could see me lose a deal potentially worth about $600k over the next few years, at 7% commission that’s a massive amount to lose out on

It’s in the hands of lawyers now who are going to negotiate the issue which makes me very worried as my instinct says it’s not going to go well :(

The gym was my place of sanctuary today

Squats (SM)
5x220
5x308
3x396
3x462 (last one was deep enough to count really)
10x396
10x396

Single leg leg extensions
2x10
1x9

Calf raises

Lying leg curls
3x10 @ some ****y weight that killed me

I should really have done some other stability work like bosu squats but I lost my gym pass so had to get a replacement card which slowed me down massively getting in so didn’t have too long available.

My quad separation while squatting looks pretty cool now which makes me look forward to next summer when I might allow myself to trim down a little again

Dude, sorry about the work situation....sucks :(

Hang in there though, you never know what lawyers will do! May just work in your favor :D

And you got your workout in! That can only be a *plus*. One of the few things that help me thru the day.

Like yesterday.....My kids screamed, screeched, fought, and cried from 6am to 9pm. So from the moment I got up till I put them to bed it was one *long* nightmare. Didn't matter what I did, said, or tried, nothing worked. I do have days like this occasionally. Hubby was at work so I dealt with it all alone.

But I just remember.... it's only *one* day......... :)

Do they not have Medised in the states? :D
