I don't know what it feels like to be thin.

I've been a bit quiet lately, as I've just followed the same old routines. I've been trying to read more up on all of this, and it seems like I shouldn't force myself to eat more calories. If I don't see or feel changes in a handful of days, I'll start eating whenever I'm hungry and not force calories.

For all I know, maybe I'm eating enough calories by eating healthy meals. I honestly don't know, but as long as I feel full I'm going to roll with it.

I'm doing quite good! My energy levels are pretty solid, I take my multi-vitamins every morning, and I sleep without waking up several times a night to get water (this is mainly because I'm a lot better at staying hydrated now).

I did accidentally drink half a bottle of red wine yesterday, though. I didn't slip and chug it on accident, but I used a bigger glass so it was easy to miscalculate. It's not even saturday, but my inner wine-lover had some pretty solid arguments as to why I should grab myself a glass of deliciousness.

Inner voice: It's soon christmas...

Sounds like you are doing very well! I see a lot of over-boozing folks due to my job and the "one glass of red wine every day is good for you" advice drives me mental. One glass of red grape juice would have all the benefits without the disadvantages (depending on the size of the glass one glass every day can already put women very close to their upper limit).

I am uneducated on whether one glass a day could actually be good for us, but that text on the image is just... there. I'll stick to one glass a week. I'm looking forward to warmer weather in 2/3 months, cause then I can jog outside again. I'm sure I'll see more drastic improvements around then.

There's not a lot of exciting things happening, I'm just following the same old routine... sort of. I rarely drink anything else than water and coffee, and I eat very small amounts of sugar. There's been less chicken and more red meat as of late, mostly because of leftovers from the holidays. I'm going to put very little focus on weighing myself, as all I want is to feel good about my body. I might weigh myself later, but I'm going to guess it's about what it was before.

Good to hear from you! Not gaining weight over the holidays is an accomplishment in and of itself. Feeling good?

Thank you, I will do my best. In the coming days or weeks, I'm going to try a slightly different approach - to only eat when I'm hungry, and not eat large meals. I want to see if this helps me eat smaller meals more frequently, because as of now I eat quite randomly.

So I think it's time for some sort up update.

I want to more actively focus on my health and weight sometime in the future, much like how I did before christmas. About two weeks ago I was thinking I should try eating only when I'm hungry, but I ended up doing a... a combination of that and eating more. I don't drink soda at all anymore, but I've consumed a beer here and there, which I'm going to guess is generally the same when it comes to calories. I've eaten quite a lot of pizza the last week, probably shooting my calorie intake up to what I'm only going to guess is around 2000 on average, if not more.

I've been "writing" this post in my mind since yesterday, planning on taking the approach that eating more calories is stupid because I feel quite a lot worse than I did while eating less, but just now I weighed myself and it showed 99.9kg / 220lbs. About fully clothed, so I'm slowly losing weight eating the way I've been doing now. It feels strange.

But yes, what I'm most interested in talking about is the saying "Don't eat until you're full, eat until you're not hungry" or something like that, specifically combined with "Only eat when you're hungry" Which are two sayings I have almost never followed in my life. I believe I might try to follow these two the coming weeks, combined with eating healthier, and hopefully get around to taking walks or jogging.

Oh, and I just remembered - I have a friend who tries a diet where he eats only once a day, on the evening. He has apparently read quite a lot about it and have been trying it for over a month now. So far he says he's got more energy throughout the day and feel generally a bit better, but I can't comment on his experience towards weight loss cause I don't have that info. Just thought it was worth sharing.

Glad to hear that listening to your body seems to be working! I agree that doing so with healthier food would be ideal but being able to trust your body is a major accomplishment for most of us.

Hi Larek. Thanks for the update. It sounds like you are working out what works for you. I'm glad that you are losing weight whilst eating healthily. When you start to also walk and do some more exercise you will feel even better. I often sound out how I feel about things in my diary. It helps clear things in your mind. All the best, Cate

Thank you both. The last two days I've had an intense craving for potato chips or something along those lines, and I'm actually starting to struggle now. I think I've come to the conclusion that I'll allow myself one cheat meal a week, so I just have to hold out until saturday or sunday. aaaa!

That´s a definite possibility. Or you could try and incorporate them into a healthy meal. There´s no law that says you can´t have potato chips with some protein and veggies as a meal.

Heya again my lovelies!

I'm still slowly losing weight, but the important thing for me is lately I've had more energy. After my last craving for potato chips, I ended up having my cheat day on Saturday - indulging in pizza, nachos and a beer. It tasted awesome, don't get me wrong, but I ended up feeling rather like 'I guess I'll just have my cheat day today' instead of looking forward to it. Since Saturday, I haven't had a single craving for unhealthy food. I'm hoping this'll last, cause if I can keep up this "diet" whilst also starting to jog every, or every other day I think I will start to feel real progress.

That's great that satisfying your cravings on Saturday & enjoying them, has left you not craving since. It sounds like progress already.
