Ok i am confused on how to figure out the pts.. lol sorry i just updated my info since dh was here for the weekend i hardly got online at all.

Last week you got 2pts for every day you did the bonus, and 10pts if you exercised a minimum of 180 minutes for the week. The weight gain/loss related pts are explained in the first post of this thread.

As your pts weren't logged until after I'd posted the week 1 results, they will still be counted, but not posted until next week.

Hope you had a nice time with your hubby. I know he's been deployed a long time. :)
 
oh ok i see.. i'll have to add them up then so i know where i am at. I did have a blast with hubby and now we got news that he's going to be home for good next week so i am very happy and excited to have my hubby back home and not worry about when he's deploying again.

I gotta get back into the swing of things.. i want to make my goal this time for the challenge.

I have everything written down in a notebook, and an excel spreadsheet--that makes it much easier b/c I don't have to re-type everyone's names, etc. I just update my spreadsheet. But it's very basic, as I'm not good with excel at all. :D

I've noticed that some of you appear to have not even attempted some of the bonuses. One of the reasons we are in this challenge to do things that we should do, but might not otherwise do. I know several of you have completed your bonuses even though it required doing something you don't normally do, and see no need to do, but did it for the points. I really hand it to those people. Remember, this is a contest and you will have teammates who will be counting on you to get the most pts possible. Granted life happens, people have bad days, weeks, etc. But to not even TRY at all to get your bonus pts isn't fair to your teammates. Please keep that in mind, because even though we are still at the individual stage of the challenge, your pts will be transferred over to your team at the end of it.

Week 3 is the last week of the individual phase. At the end of this week I'll be drawing teams for the rest of the challenge. In order to be placed on a team you must have updated ALL 3 weeks. Please have your week 3 stats logged no later than Sunday night on Nov 25th. If you are unable to do this, please send me a PM and we can work something out. But if you don't have all three weeks updated and fail to send me a PM, you will NOT be placed on a team. I will announce teams on Monday, Nov. 26th.

The hardest part of this challenge is losing the weight.

I compulsively write down every bite that goes into my mouth. I count calories. I don't put anything into my mouth until I know how many calories and fat is in it. I also keep track of my exercise, blood pressure, blood sugar levels and my weight. All of that goes into a little book. It makes it so much easier for me.

As for veggies....bring them on! I love veggies. I have vegetables for breakfast almost every day. They give you a lot of bang for your buck. Plus they are low in fat and good for you. :hurray:

If you need any help with the Excel, I can make it do pretty much anything but balance a ball on its nose. I don't know what you have in mind for the teams, but if you'd like to try and balance them (so that each team starts with about the same number of points, percentage of weight lost, and total percentage lost if everyone meets goal, for instance), that kind of thing is really fun for me. You'd still be doing the assignments, but each time you made a choice or a change, you'd see if the teams were more or less "equal."

ETA: Oh, and it doesn't have to be at the last minute - I can set it up anytime, and you just update the numbers as people post between now and Sunday night, and see if anything needs reshuffled.

Thanks for the kind offer, but the teams are going to be drawn randomly--regardless of total team pts. I think most teams will be fairly equal--but anything can happen, so even if you start out on a team that has the lowest number of pts, it is very possible that your team can win. :)
