Hi Everyone!

I've started this thread so that we can post questions about the challenge, or encouragement, etc here. So please let's just post our stats in the sign-up thread, and everything else here. Thanks!

There was a question in the other thread by Ambalove that I think that may be ignored unless it is put here...

AmbaLove:
If those aren't our usual weigh in days, how do we handle that? Is it required that you use a saturday weigh in? I can make it work...but my official weigh ins at the dietician are mondays. So my weight for the challenge would have to be home scale based.

IMHO, I'd do it whatever way works best for you. In the end, the challenge is just another tool for you - it shouldn't be about making things harder or more complicated. (Plus there's the whole "on the internet, nobody knows you're a dog" thing, which negates any "it wouldn't be fair to everyone else" argument.)

I personally plan to use both trend-line weight and scale weight, because trend-line is what I primarily use for my personal purposes. (It mostly adjusts out water-weight fluctuation, which IMHO doesn't count either as weight gained or lost.) I wouldn't be terribly surprised if I didn't hit goal regardless, because we'll be on vacation the last 2 weeks of the challenge, but won't it be nice if I do!

Oh, and I'd like to give Kimberly (bikinibound) a big thumbs up for this challenge! I didn't sign up for the November challenge, because for me, a 2-pound a week goal isn't realistic, but this one seems very reasonable. :)

Kimberly..

Since we are starting early, What are the new dates for the stats?

I want to fix copy/paste things so I don't get confused.

:willy_nilly:

Thanks!

I PM'd Amber my reply. Weigh ins should be done on Fri or Sat. However, if this is a problem for you, let me know and we'll work something out. :)

I'm really happy to see so many people signed up already! There tends to be a very high drop out rate for challenges, so I just want to encourage you all to keep at it and stay the course (ha! now I sound like Bush..lmao). This is serious business--since I know we all want to look good in the holiday photos and videos this year. ;) So for vanity's sake alone, keep it up. :D Oh, and then there's our health, too. :cheers2:

Just did 35 minutes of exercise in preparation for my 3 hours a week during the challenge! Hopefully this challenge will motivate me and get me use to working out more! Can't wait!:hurray:

You are too funny. The Holiday challenge hasn't even started yet and you've already got me doing the Love Shack challenge....lmao. We'll see how it goes, but I'm probably up for it. ;)

I've already got week 1's bonus thought up--you must have sex for 30 minutes each day--with your partner or alone....:rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao:

Hey Kimberly!:waving:
Thanks for heading this up. I almost made my goal on the Halloween Challenge and fully intend to knock it out on this one! :boxing:
Thanks Again!!!

I just want to remind everyone to edit your stats post and log your current weight and challenge goal weight there. Your challenge goal weight must be at least 3% less than your current weight. To figure this, multiply your current weight by .03. Then subtract that from your current weight.

Ex. if your CW= 200lbs X .03 = 6
200-6= 194
Your goal weight must be 194lbs or less.

Please have this logged by 11pm (Eastern time, GMT-5)Monday, Nov. 5th.

:hurray: Hey! Happy new challenge! I am starting it with bad news. Despite i have lost lots of weight so far I still have high blood pressure 156-102 :(
I hope my exersices are ok for the competition. I am walking 60 min every day but only about 12 min are real brisk walking. As the task is to have 30 min a day exersice I have decided to add 15 min "room jogging" as I call it and I have estimated that I do another 3 min of other exerxies such as squats and crunches + some stretching. I do it every day so I hope when the time for extra exercise bonus come I'll be granted with my well deserved points. :willy_nilly:

Sorry to hear about your high blood pressure. 60min of walking everyday is 60min of exercise regardless of your pace. How far do you walk in that 60min? Just remember--any extra exercise you do now will not give you any extra pts later. There will be an extra exercise bonus week, but only exercise done during that week will count towards the bonus.

Hi Everyone! Good Luck on the challenge!

Just a reminder: PLEASE DO NOT CREATE A NEW POST EACH TIME YOU UPDATE YOUR STATS. JUST GO BACK AND EDIT YOUR FIRST AND ONLY STAT POST.

IF PEOPLE START CREATING NEW POSTS FOR EVERY UPDATE, I WILL PULL ALL MY HAIR OUT TRYING TO KEEP THINGS STRAIGHT..LOL

Thanks!
~Kimberly
