Has anyone heard of the 18 in 4 diet ??

Hi There
Well I am currently on this diet, and while still a little sceptical that you can lose between 17-19lbs on it so far this is my 3rd day, I feel great full of energy and alert! I don't feel hungry and although the food is bland I can certainly put up with that for 4 days! So I will post my weight loss at the end of my 4 days and let you know. The guy also does a maintenance plan to follow afterwards with exercise for continued steady weight loss.
I think it's well worth a try as it's only 4 days and he offers a 10 day money back guarantee and payment is taken though pay pal so you are protected and can easily claim funds back if you don't think it was worth it.
Note to Lori Nurse; the diet states specifically NO EXERCISE during the 4 day detox! Only exercise with the maintenance plan :)

Like I said earlier, its really only good if you have a wheat, white sugar, or dairy sensitivity, because that is mostly what you don't consume for 4 days... and if thats the case, who wouldn't feel better after giving the body a break from foods that don't digest well. You can put together your own diet- i.e. restricted calories, restricted foods and its free. Better still, lose weight the safe and natural way- the way where your body hardly feels stressed because you are never starving!
You have to remember that unless you are about 400lbs + you will not lose 18lbs in 4 days.

cheers to all.

ok, so i am one of the loosers who tried the 18 in 4 diet, and yes, I made the guy give me my money back. It was completely unhealthy. I added up the calories of the meals each day, and we were only getting about 700 calories. Basically, you starve yourself and drink lots of coffee, water, and tea. I exercized on the first day, and payed for it for the rest of the day with extreme hunger, headache, and lack of energy. Finally the last day, (which I stopped the diet after lunch) the diet consists of 3 cups of prune juice (1 at lunch and 2 at dinner). He says there is no laxitives?!?! That night, I got Cafe Rio for dinner and gained all 3 pounds back that I had lost. Yes, I was stupid for ever trying it......dont do it.
I am one of those losers who tried it too. How did you get him to refund the money? I am sick eating the foods, I didn't make it through the first day and he will not not refund my money or reply to my emails. I have contacted my credit card to dispute the charge...but how did you do it?

Help with my refund

I would like to know how Lori Nurse got her refund. I didn't know what food was on it until I paid for the diet. I tried it for half a day and it made me sick...I hate all of the foods on it (excep chicken and hamburger). I have requested my money back, but he said no. I am starting the dispute process with my credit card company. Any idea how I can get this jerk to own up to his own guarantee?

getting a refund

We also had a hard time getting the refund. We emailed him several times before he replied, and that was after my husband initiated a complaint with pay pal. The guy apologized and said that it was because my emails were going to his bulk, and he didn't receive them. However, the emails i sent him before purchasing the diet were received, and h replied within hours. obviously he was lying.

Note to chicaguapa: any diet that says no excercise is crap. The american heart association specifically says to exercise 30-45 min/day 5-7 days a week. For me, going to work alone was too much exercise to have any energy with this diet.

This is a scary thread. Sounds like you are just ridding yourself of water and poop. Do you poop like crazy with all that prune juice?

When I started the 6 Week Body Makeover, the food was bland (no salt, no fat, no sugar), so I lost 7 pounds the first week. I must have been like a giant water balloon. Now 3 weeks later, I've only taken off an additional 3 pounds.

More Refund Help

Lori Nurse, Thanks for your reply. I didn't pay for this through pay pal and used my credit card. I called them to start the process to dispute the charge. When I let the guy know I did this, he started threatening me so now I am unsure what to do. I am afraid he could somehow mess with my credit card, etc. Any more advice? I hate to just drop it because I hate to give such a creep my hard-earned money, but I'm nervous. To anyone else out there, don't even deal with this guy. :(

I guess I'm a Dummy

Call me dummy Lori Nurse, unfortunately, I bought the diet before reading anyones comment in this forum. I just decided to google the program and I found you guys! Wish me lots of luck ChicaGuappa because I start tomorrow with my husband. I don't know about you guys but I just need to loose about 20lbs...thatis why the diet looked so good. I can undertstand the method to this guys madness too, it seems to make sense, but either way I'll let you kind folks know. Even if I lose 10 lbs, its still a win for me.

Interesting.....

I dunno, maybe I am just a cynic at heart, but I am noticing some interesting things going on in this thread. Seems a heck of alot of the posters here are brand new members, with 1 to 3 posts each. Now if you do google 18 in 4, WLF is the first site at the top of the list, not even the homepage of the program. Makes me think it would become a target for the owners of the 18 in 4 program to start a little propaganda of thier own.

So my question is simply this, and it is rhetorical, so requires no real answers, but how many people are "actually" doing this and making genuine posts, and how many are being posted by the folks over at 18 in 4 just to spark interest and try to get attention? I know most of it is negative in regards to refunds and this and that not working, but I will bet that it is creating enough curiosity that 18 in 4 has definitely made some sales based on this page. Not to mention sending a clear message to those who did buy it not to bother trying to get their money back, since it "is" possible, but not likely. More likely they hope you will just give up. They may even be trolling for people giving away the copies they bought by putting those "please send me the recipe!" posts.

I don't buy it. Personally I think it is all a hoax orchestrated by the owners of 18 in 4 just to drum up attention. Don't fall for it people. I think they are using WLF to do their dirty work for them. I have never seen a thread with so many new members here before.

And as for the diet, come on.... Testimonials on the website? I can write 50 of those right now for Sirants Fabulous New - Lose Weight by Amputation Program! Right Wow! No diets? No exercise? No pills? No Gimmicks? No Effort? Sign me up! Who needs 2 arms anyways??

No way.

Please remember the golden rule: If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.

Our good friend mister Kevin Trudeau can attest to that, and has made a fortune selling snake oil and promises for years. These people will use every tactic in the book to drum up sales, even if it means slagging their own product just to get a few more people thinking about it. I would have to cry foul play on this thread. There are so many other threads in WLF that offer so much better and more realistic approaches to the problem of weight loss. Don't get sucked into creating a new Kevin Trudeau with your $27

I think most of us have tried at least one fad diet at one time or another. In any case, when you lose weight that quickly it is mostly water and you will most likely gain it right back. The best thing you can do is eat sensibly and get some exercise. Joining a diet like weight watchers or some other structured plan would also help you stay with it.

Personally anything like that, that requires you to send money before you can find anything out about it...not even worth it....

You are better off going over to your local bookstore and reading about someother diets, for free, and then once you find one that you think will work for you buy the book and I can guarentee the book will be cheaper then what this guy is charging.

Good luck!

who knows

it could work it could not. all i know is if you even lose one pound he will not refund the money, thats part of the guarantee. go to 18in4.com/disclamer for info that is not on the home page.

Interested

If someone has this thing I'd love to see what he is suggesting, and just how safe it is. I would like to make comments about this diet but, I'm not going to pay $27 to do it. I'm a project about fad diets and this seems like a good one to add to my paper.I would really appreciate it.

Thank You :)

I haven't been here in a while and it seems like this is one of the few places that talks about this diet. I was googling it after talking to my friend about it.. I haven't tried it before so I can't say if it works or not, but my friend just got back after studying abroad in London for a year and she tried it a few days before she came back. She said she lost 15 lbs. in the 4 days of the program.. She's gonna give me the info on this diet so I can try it so I'll let you know how it goes~

Stop defacing

A few things I should say here.
A: The man on the website isn't skinny nor does he have six pack abs.
B: To all the lowlifes, asking for free copies to be emailed to them. Let this be your warning. It is illegal and I personally will notify James to have actions taken against you.
C: It's only 27 dollars, and some of you have more than that in weight to lose so quit the insults.
D: I don't know James personally, however, I've just bought the diet last night and today is my first day. Quite frankly, there are diets that I've tried which have surprised me with their results.
E:The diet specifies no exercise, so why are you exercising?
F:If you're a nurse, then why purchase a diet which you claim that you know is unhealthy:
Don't put down something until you try it or don't say anything at all.
I'm not a member but this post came up when I was trying to locate Jame's site this morning and I had to register to say all this.
It is sick to bash individuals hopes by saying these things, unless, you have personally failed at this diet.(excluding the nurse chick, because she was following some other cuckoo diet, who knows)
It's frustrating for ppl who want to lose weight and can't and once they get a shred of hope, to have other ignorant ppl debunk their choices is inhumane.
So what if we fail?
Let us fail! Everything is a learning opportunity.

Good luck to all those who are willing to try it or is presently.
Hopefully I'm lighter in 3days
See ya
