I was wondering the same thing about the elliptical trainer! My toes go numb too. I have to wiggle them (which for some reason takes alot of concentration of that contraption) to get the blood flowing to them.
I did 40 min on the Elliptical today and burned 512 calories. I also stayed on within my calories, with good food and drank my water for today! I'm doing so good! YOU ALL ARE DOING FABULOUS ALSO!!! The PlumpKins soooo ROCK!
 
Today I feel bloated. I'm trying to drink my tons of water but for some reason I have it in my head that if I don't feel hungry, with actual hunger pains that I'm not losing any weight and the water is counteracting me feeling hungry. Yeah, I've got issues.
Maybe I need to cut sodium out of my diet more. I have been monitoring my sodium intake but I don't know what to keep it below. I've been averaging about 1500mg of sodium a day, is that high? When I was pregnant with my son I was on a low sodium diet. I remember I ate a hot mama pickle and my legs swelled up so bad I couldn't walk.
 
as long as you are under 2300 mg of sodium a day (that's what the american heart association suggests) you're doing fine on sodium
 
good evening pumpkins

hit the water goal again today. had a great work out this morning before i went to work. just a odd question. is everyone in the group on the same time or do we run different. the reason i ask is that when i post things and read every one else's post it sounds like we are all on different time. for example when we had to log in for the first time for this challange i was the last one to enter. no mager i was just wonder? has of this post it is 6:11 in the evening.

Everyone is doing so great keeping up with their water and exercising!! This team is kicking butt!! :)
 
HEhe..I think I am turning into a gym rat haha. I just got back from day 2 of the gym this week. I did the eliptical for 40 minutes and burned 510 calories. My heart rate is improving and I can actually get into the weightloss zone for heart rate. My first time *yay*.

Anyways. I'm still working on the water. I'm trying really hard. I've still got half to go.
 
I noticed that some of you haven't editted your week one goal yet?
Just to make sure you read her post... Mal asked that we put an asteriks for every day that we met our water goal beside that part in this thread.
It will be cool to see how awesome us PLUMPKINS are doing, so edit it please :p
 
On the Elliptical.. DO you think thatyour toes probably go numb because you are gripping the inside of your shoes with your toes. Next time you are on it, see if that is what you are doing?!

And I am in Indiana!...

I have also been drinking my water...:)
 
Hmmm

I don't know about that because sometimes I workout at home with no shoes and that happens to me. I just thought I was weird! Glad to know I'm not the only one!
 
Well, I'm a shoe-a-holic so if someone says its the shoes I'll go out and buy a new pair. But I've been using an elliptical trainer through several pairs of shoes and I've had the same problem. I thinks its more related to circulatory issues because once I start wiggling my toes around the feeling comes back pretty quick. But if you say I need new shoes I won't hesitate...LMAO!
 
Well thats good to know about the elliptical trainer, I guess its a normal then. Today I played badminton in class, AND went to the gym, thats a first for me, I went on the elliptical machine for 45 min again and I was sweating buckets, its a great workout and you dont really get out of breath! Ive been drinking all my water :), its good to hear that everyone is doing well. So every one have a wonderful wednesday tomorrow :)
 
Hey guys... I too work out on the elliptical! We are truly an elliptical group eh?!
Anyway I found that if I wear my crocs my feet get really nice cushioning and I don't get as numb or sore in the toes...
Everyone knows what a croc is right? Or is that just a Canadian thing?

i guess i am not understanding what you mean. i copied and pasted the part i was suppose to in the beginning. how do you put the star by your name and you said every time we meet our goal we need to put another one am i understanding you correctly.
