Weight-Loss Grinches Losin' Inches--team Thread

Weight-Loss
Grinches

First off, I am sorry I wasn't posting often lately. I guess I had to try harder to keep the team spirit. I really hope that you my team mates are doing well and despite not writing I am thinking of you.
I have been following religiously my plans and the challenges and I had great success. And now the end is near... I hope there will be a new one soon. :) I had an idea to take a picture of me in the first day and in the last day of the challenge but I kind of feared I might be a failure. Next chellange I'll definitelly do this!

Bonus Last Week

This is very interesting. I have been actually thinking very much about this holiday week. And I came up with my plan already. So I am taking "days off dieting" From 25.12 to 01.01. What I will be doing this week:

1. Get rid of some of the exercises /it's holiday after all/ but keep walking. However I will not do the brisk walk I usually do. I will just put some more sexy outfit /anything which is not my sport outfit would be more sexy lol/ and continue to walk for 1-2 hours every day.
2. I will not put limitations on the type of the food I eat but I will rather try to eat only small quantities. Also I will try avoid snacking all day and have 3 meals every day /proper breakfast and for lunch and supper: a starter, a main meal and a desert/.
3. I have no idea if I will gain or maintain but the most important is: whatever happens it won't disappoint and discourage me. In the new year I'll just continue with new fresh powers and enthusiasm till I reach my final goal. :gnorsi:

My goal for the holidays

1. I have given up hope on losing during the holidays... so my goal is to maintain. I would like to start Jan 1st at 143 lbs. Then I am back full force for losing the lbs.
2. Eat all kinds of foods, but limit portions sensibly.
3. Keep continue exercising since I love it... the goal is to go the gym at least twice a week (hoping for three times) and do something at home for 2 more days.. could be just a fast walk on my treadmill for 30 min.

This challenge has been a blast I am sorry I couldn't contribute more to the team points!!!

Hope everybody is having a great week!!
Hajni

I was disappointed with my weigh in today, as I'd hit 222.5 on Tuesday. It was back up to 224 today--but at least not a gain I suppose. :banghead:

Just stoppin in to say HI!

I'm disappointed in myself with this challenge, tho I do have real reasons with the loss of my dad, but I really think I could have done a little more.

Let's hope that the final weigh in will add points anyway- but not sure how likely with the Christmas dinner for work this week- I didnt pig out, but I'm sure I consumed more than my typical 1300 calories.

Talk to yas soon!

Goal for the Holiday's

Well,
I almost forgot to post this incredible question, so here are my personal goals:

1) I hope to at least maintain and not gain, which I think I'll do
2) I hope to keep up at least 3 days of exercise during the week of Christmas, and I will accomplish that even if I have to use that darn stationary bike in my home.
3) Try and eat less carbs, seems to be a task for me during the holiday's but I'll try extra hard.

I hope to keep up the fight and not lose sight that this is all about staying healthy and making that lifestyle change. Change is NEVER easy and it will be battle for me to the end I'm sure of it. But what Great stuff in life isn't worth a fight right???

Good luck to everyone this Holiday Season, HAPPY HOLIDAY'S~~

Week 7 goal would be to maintain any wt I have lost. I will cont with the gym at least 3x/week and log my food intake. Ok, easy 25 pts.

Hi Girls. I hope everyone is enjoying the last week of the challenge along with the holiday craziness if you celebrate. I'm feeling like a bad team member the last few weeks, but time is so short right now.

Yarmiah I have been inspired by you. You have faced one of the greatest losses with your father passing and have focused on a positive with this challenge, that alone is amazing. I can't imagine your strain right now and I have appreciated everything you have completed for the team and yourself. HUGS!! I am so sorry for your loss.

Bikini thanks again for this challenge, it has helped me out alot and gotten me over my slump for the last 5.5 months or so. I think your New Years Loser style challenge is a terrific idea, but I'm scared of being kicked off, the rejection you know (just kidding).

Hajni you have also done so well this challenge with the loss of your grandfather. I would never be able to focus on this with that occurring. Congrats with what you have done and I'm sorry for your loss.

Wulsk you have still been kicking butt. Terrific Job!!

Ms Ladybug and Amanda Happy Holidays to you too!

Lisa

Yarmiah, hon, don't beat yourself up over the last few weeks. If it had been me losing my dad, I'm pretty sure I would have dropped out of the challenge all together. I think I would have blown my diet for a few months while I grieved. So I've got to hand it to your for still trying. :grouphug: I'm sure most of us could have done better than we have. I know I could've. :)

Lisa--thanks for the kind words re the challenge. I am really looking forward to the next one due to the elimination factor. I do NOT want to get eliminated, so I think it will make me bust my ass to avoid it. I really need something like that--especially the way I've been eating the last week. There are just too many naughty things everywhere I turn this time of year, and I have very little will power atm. :ack2:

As the contest is at an end, I just want to say that it's been a pleasure being on the same team as all of you fantastic women. Whether we win or not, I'm proud of us all. As of the end of week 6, we've lost 46.9lbs as a team!!! That's 3.27% of our starting weight. Only Twas the Night Before Weigh In has higher percentage numbers--and they've got 3 guys on their team.

Amanda's lost 13lbs!!, Wulsk--15.2lbs!!, the rest of us 3-4lbs each. :hurray::hurray::hurray:

I hope you'll all have a great holiday and sign up for the Biggest Loser challenge in January. :biggrinjester:

Grinch

I must say that I am so so happy I did this challenge. But I won't lie, I am happy it finishes now. It wasn't an easy one at all. Every week when the bonuses were announced (except the vegetable one) I would think "NO, NOT THIS!". But then as I am a bit of a maniac, I would start working on it strictly and it really helped. I can't also fail noticing that the 2 weeks I lost the most weight were the weeks with the exercise bonus. So here it is the key to weight loss - sport, sport, sport! This week however was the flatest week ever. I had 4 days in a row when my scale would show same number (no down, no up) but today my period is here so I may grab 2 points tomorrow. I don't know.

I thank to my team as well as the other people in the challenge for being so strict and serious!

YES, THANK YOU~~ YOU ARE ALL FANTASTIC LADIES or my so called (Grinchetts):hurray:
You all did a fantastic job and I'm so very proud of all of :grouphug:you just staying in the challenge. WAY TO GO!

Twin, thanks so much for starting this up, I WILL be joining the next challenge.

Now I will say I thought FOR SURE hands down I would have met my own goal of 10 lbs, as normally when I put my mind to it, I can really bust it and lose that much. However, with two weeks of a disaster it shot my whole goal to the wall, but there is always next month right?

I'm so ready to give it my all and try again, I can't wait!!

Thanks again ladies, you are all fantastic women!

HI Ladies!!

I just updated my stats.
Big congrats to all of you for your weight losses!!! What a great team we had. Special congrats for Wulsk and Amanda!! You rock!!!
Big thanks for Bikini for putting this together!!! It was a great challenge I can only blame myself for not doing any better.
I am dissapointed that I have not reached my goal, I was sooo sure I would... but there is always the new years and no sense worrying about it during the Holidays. Taking a break for a couple of weeks and then back into it full force.

HAVE A HAPPY HOLIDAY!!!!

Hajni

Well, I'm up 1.5lbs from last week--even though I worked out an hour longer than I normally do and ate less than 1500 calories yesterday. Oh well. I'm not going to beat myself up over it b/c the Biggest Loser challenge starts up in 2 weeks, and I will be ready to go at it and give it everything I've got.

Kudos to all of you, and thanks for making the Grinches a rockin' team!

It was a good challenge. It kept me accountable. I am just hoping to maintain what I lost until January 3 when I come back from my Vegas trip. I am going to take the next few days off for the holidays. I don't intend to over do it but I will have a couple of treats. I am going to Vegas for New Years. That will be a lot of fun.

Happy Holidays to my team.

Have fun in Vegas, Amanda! That sounds like a lot of fun. :D
