Weight-Loss Green Tea Info

Weight-Loss
I personally don't like the taste of green tea so I take Fiber Choice Weight Management that has the green tea in it. I know it isn't the same as drinking it but it sure does help.

Green tea isn't going to do much for you. Its not likely you'll notice any difference at all unless you are drinking it in mass quantities instead of eating. If you want to lose weight you have to change your diet and exercise. If you want to gain back the muscle you lost you're going to have to do weight training.

Green tea

Hope I have put this in the right section. Sorry mods if I haven't.

Just wanted to ask who finds that green tea helps keep weight off. Obviously not on it's own. But it seems to help????

It's not really a debating thread. Just thought people could share their thoughts kindly about the benefits.

I found any hot drink, soup, tea, etc generally makes you feel 'full' so helps. I think a lot of people say green tea helps, but i have yet to see any proof.

Still, cant do any harm :)

I agree with wishes. If you have a cup of green tea at night instead of that bowl of Ben & Jerry's, then yes it will help. It isnt magic though.

I think Green Tea has been hyped as part of some fad diet. I drink green tea, but I don't do it for weight-loss purposes. I drink tea instead of what I used to drink: Coca-Cola.

hello everyone,
Yes indeed, green tea does have good benefits----thermogenesis or fat burning, loaded with antioxidants-----toxin fighting agents. Check out this information: and try---

The New Chapter one is great in boiling water then add some ginger. It contains over 400 constituents so the caffeine is only a small part of the whole. Enjoy!

Diet and exercise are critical to taking off excess weight and keeping it off for good, but from what I have read, it does appear that green tea can be an effective tool in fighting the battle of the bulge.

Thanks for those replies.

I have had postive experiences from drinking it, just wanted to see if it works for anyone else.

I'm not on a diet but i think it has helped me keep my figure. I do exercise alot and i eat healthy, so i understand that all contributes as well.

Thanks people.:Angel_anim:

Same here.I been exactly 220 for 5yrs.I only been drinking tea regularly for 3 months.I was a big md addict(12+ cans daily).Used mio to slowly wein off md.Then I only drank water, besides a 16oz cup of coffee in the mornings. Now I mostly drink green, black, red,& white tea.

Still drink some water & cup of coffee too.I get md once in awhile & drink it with dinner.Drinking plain water all the time got old & unrefreshing after awhile.

I like stash tea brand. They actually seal the teabags individually unlike lipton & many others.

hello,

here are just a few medical conditions in which drinking green tea is reputed to be helpful:

cancer

rheumatoid arthritis

high cholesterol levels

cariovascular disease

infection

impaired immune function

New evidence is emerging that green tea can even help dieters. In November, 1999, the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition published the results of a study at the University of Geneva in Switzerland. Researchers found that men who were given a combination of caffeine and green tea extract burned more calories than those given only caffeine or a placebo.

Green tea can even help prevent tooth decay! Just as its bacteria-destroying abilities can help prevent food poisoning, it can also kill the bacteria that causes dental plaque. Meanwhile, skin preparations containing green tea - from deodorants to creams - are starting to appear on the market....
