another week down

FaithieThanks for your ever so kind words, I dont think i am an inspiration, but if I can help others on the program with my journal then it will be all worth it. I have struggled with my weight since I was a teen and have always been called fatso and fatty by my brothers, so I figured its time for me to take charge and do something about it seriously. So I am, I know I have deviated a few times and feel remorseful afterwards but I am only human as is everyone, and we all tend to make mistakes at time, but I am back on track and want to be completed by my birthday on the 29th of November, which is about 10 weeks away..so fingers crossed.

Wow I been a really good girl this week stuck to the program entirely without the slightest deviation..I am so impressed with myself as I am on holidays..I have been finding that later in the day I tend to get peckish and thats when I go looking for something to snack on, so I have been preading out my water, fruit and cracker allowance more for later in the day, which I find is working well..
Week 16 time for another blood test, forgot my form today so will do it first thing in the morning. I have had a great week off been busy cleaning out cupboards, garage and all those hiding spaces..I am getting ready for a garage sale, phew its a daunting task, but I have the whole week to get it organised so thing should be fine.
I have lost 2.6kgs this week and another 4cm bringing total too 32.8 kgs and 112cm..wow that looks so impressive when I write it down lol.. and another goal down this week and another looming. I am still amazed how easy this is and I intend to stick to this program with only having 14.2 kgs to go I cant wait for the end but I can wait to be skinny...

thanks for the kind words and you are still going great guns, glad you successfully went on your walk. When is your next one?? you are my inspiration and I thank you for that dear Cate.
FAITHIE
Thanks also for your kind words, they sure did put a smile on my face so thanks. You have certainly been a busy girl in the forums, I wish I could add to some of them but Im not sure really what to say or how to say it sometimes. I read all the new posts and enjoy reading about everyones experiences.

Well today was a productive day for me, I started off by dropping my car off to get fixed $$$ then went for my 16wk blood test. The girls at the clinic were very interested and asked how i was going, when i told them i had lost 33kgs in 4 months you should have seen theirs eyes lol They were suitable impressed, 1 even enquired for her hubby and will look into it further. He was only worried that he wouldnt be able to have alcohol ever again lol. silly man lol..
I also was talking to my sons friends mum about the program, she was so taken aback when she saw me. and is following it up also..glad i can help some ppl in such a small way.
I then proceeded to continue with my house cleanout and garage cleanout for a garage sale this weekend and my back is sooooo sore, I think I will be heading off to have a shower shortly see if that helps. I have so many baby clothes and kiddies stuff that I have hoarded for so long, time to get rid of them so bring on saturday.
Anyways off for a hot shower.
Cheers all

I have been feeling optimistic with my weight goal and have dropped my goal to 69..as apposed to 70...would really like to get into the 60's that would be a mile stone just in itself. Well just a quick one from me today..just to update..my total loss is 34.6 kgs...wow that 40 kgs is creeping up :rotflmao: and in cms a whopping 123cms, im starting to feel like the new me has arrived, so look out world genie has arrived. I am now fitting into size 12 OMG i still cant believe it, I hold up the clothes, and think I wont fit into that...but I do..sooo amazing...I just cant say enough about the program it is truly a GOD SEND and although I wish I had found out about it earlier, I am thankful that I have found it now. My life is changing all for the better, so thanks Cohens for giving me back a life, I cant express my gratitude enough.

Genie- I got really obsessed with food when I had about 10kg to go. You get sick of it I think & it is harder & harder to keep yourself revved up. You need to identify if it is real hunger. If it is real hunger email your consultant & she will give you some advice on how to get through to re-feed, just as she did me. At one stage I was ravenous. I cut out apples. I had yoghurt for breakfast, had crackers & fruit 1 hr before lunch, ate less fish, crackers & fruit 1 hr before dinner & then crackers & fruit for supper. I upped my water a little. The hunger then disappeared. If you stop before you are at goal weight, even if you do re-feed, that will be the weight you stay. You have done so well to get to this stage. Try to re-focus. I think you should be very proud of yourself. Think how much prouder you will be to follow this through to the end.....slim, happy Genie. I know you can do it. If I can, you can! xo Cate.

Panic stations over HOPEFULLY!!!!

Hi all, I think I have things sorted...I did a bit of a change around with my water intake,( I spread it out later in the day when I was feeling the hungriest) and added some sugar balance(chromium supplement) and some zinc tablets, as well as my multi vitamin that I have been taking all along. I emailed the girls at the clinic and they were so helpful..basically telling me to check everything that I was doing and havent been doing anything different, apart from today that is. I was really struggling for about 5 days I can tell you and beginning to think that I wouldnt make it to my goal. I feel so re invigorated I can tell you.I have just had my final fruit allowance and I am soooooooo full lol....phew what a relief and no cravings for chocolate of cheese and crakers ...YAHHHHH Hopefully this is the trick I was really beginning to panic I can tell you.

On a happy not well more like an ecstatic one, I got a couple of bargains today I size 12 top and size 10 YES 10 trousers for work....OMG I still cant beleive it. I am a bit worried about how small I will get though as I am in these with still another 10+ kgs to go...I dont want to be too small(sounds silly saying that as I ve always struggled with my weight) I am big boned and always have been.

Also I have reached another goal which is awesome I am so pleased I can tell you. Only another 12.3 to go yahhh.

PS for anyone who is suffering from infrequent bowel movement (s0rry) I have found that 2 cups of peppermint tea at night with sweetener (if preferred) is the way to go...

Hi Genie

You are doing so well and I'm glad you managed to get your little situation back to you feeling wonderful!!!

We started at the same weight and have the same goal although as you are aware I am still assessing that at the moment but will leave it at the top end of the actual Cohen's goal on my ticker for the time being until I decide!

It will be great to compare piccies at the end since we have that in common!

Have a great day and thanks for posting in my diary!

week 20

Yahooo
hit the 70's guys I am sooooo stoked, cant wipe the smile off my dial. Its been a good week, my state manager has been and had to take a second look to see if it was me, that was priceless,...lol although its only been about 6 weeks since he was here last.
Also had a job offer, was an increase in pay, but longer hours, a step down from where I am, but that doesnt bother me, and more responsibility with being a larger store.. Thought about it so much, pros and cons and all that stuff but decided to stay put where I am at the moment, at least until my daughter who is nearly ten is a little older...I love my job, but cant go any further with the company unless I move to sydney...and Im not sure I want to leave good ol tassie just at the moment, but maybe in the future who knows.
Anyway loss for the week 1.6kgs and 6cms to boot...Current weight 79.3 a loss of 37.7kgs OMG and 142cms...I feel fantastic and so much like a new person, its incredible.
anyway better fly
cheers Genie

week 23 half way point

HI All I havent dropped off the planet or been beemed up by aliens.I havent been posting for a couple of weeks, lots of things happening in my neck of the woods, with work, kids and study but I do pop in and see how everyone is progressing..I have had some ups and downs the last few weeks, really struggling to come to terms with my weight loss..and the new me...People keep telling me dont lose any more..oryou will look old and hagged. I am happy with what I look like almost...would like to lose the couple of rolls under my breasts and some more of tummy...then I will be happy, but these are the hardest and have been there the longest so making them stubborn to budge..hopefully I will get there.

But I thought I should come and update my ticker and my details.
current weight 72 kgs total loss of 45KGS and 150cm a metre and a half thats amazing.
I have emailed my clinic and asked if I can order refeed at 71kgs, they said I could, but would be more beneficial to get closer to my Cohens Goal weight of 61-64kgs...I really would like to be completed by the end of the year, including refeed...I would really be happy to get to 67 which will be a loss of 50 kgs...so I am hoping to start refeed 1st week in December if all goes well.

1st Goal - 112Kgs - completed
2nd Goal - 105kgs (pre divorce weight) completed

GENIE!!!

AMAZING! So basically, this means you are ordering Refeed next week! How exciting for you! I just can't believe that we started at the same time! How exciting to be done by the end of the year.

And really it doesn't matter that you have not reached the Cohens goal... as long as you're happy... PLUS you will now have the tools to reach that goal, if you decide you want to. You can go back and get those last 5 or so kgs off when you are ready!

I am so happy for you mate!

Blessya

thanks

Thanks Kannadew for your kind words. My clinic is pushing me to get as close to their goal weight which is 61-64kgs...not sure I can get there..my goal is 67-69kgs, but would like to get rid of the last couple of stubborn fat rolls. I am soooooo close to the end and am finding that my motivation is slipping a little.. and with the holiday season almost upon us would dearly love to be finished by christmas/new year so I can start 2008 with a new lease of life..and hopefully my life will be a huge new adventure with lots of new opportunities and adventures. I am excited, but a little terrified to say the least about starting refeed, but I do know that I now have the tools to keep my weight under control and I will NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER go back to that fatty I was 5.5 months ago..so bring on 2008.
And you Kannadew are doing an amazing job even if it is slower than most I have been popping into the other forum and following your story..you are truley awesome and I know you will get there. Keep on doing what you are doing mate.
cheers genie

BrunetteGenie and kannadew

What amazing acheivements from both of you. BG you must feel like a brand new person. I felt like that when I reached my goal a bit of vanity peeked through as well.
Congrat's also on nearly reaching refeed. Kannadew you are doing great the important thing is that you are losing. Well done.

Sam:)

Genie- You have achieved something that you will hopefully be proud of for the rest of your life. I wish now that I could have lost an extra few kilos as once you finish it is that much harder to re-focus & get rid of that extra few. I am not you but I would consider trying to get as close as possible to the Cohen's goal weight as you can because this is probably your best chance of doing so. Just a thought. I wish I had held on for a few more weeks before re-feed & got to the bottom of the Cohen's range instead of the top, which would have given me a better lee-way(66-69kgs, instead of 69-72). Whatever you decide, your motivation & commitment has been wonderful to behold. You should be very proud of yourself! Cheers, Cate.
