I have just kinda joined at the most awkward time, they are racing in about 5 weeks lol, so their training shedules at the moment are pretty intense, I managed 18 miles on saturday, but they did 100 miles lol.

So i may compete next year

Hi Jackie, I have been training for triathlons for almost 3 years and have been doing them for 2 years.

Here is a current photo. I don't know how sexy this body is, but it is certainly is old (50).

Thanks Jackie!

Sunday: 3 mile run in 26:30.
Monday: hard bike: 30 minutes averaging 226 watts. 5 minutes averaging 245 watts. 15 minutes averaging 240 watts. These were hard.
Tuesday: Weights: dumbbell bench press: 65# x 10, 75# x 2 x 8
Chinups: 6, 5
Shrugs: 2x10
Hard bike: 30 minutes averaging 232 watts. This was very hard. When I can hold 250 watts for 30 minutes (hopefully later this year), I'll enter a Cat 5 criterium bike race.

Hard swim and bike workout yesterday:

Swim: 660 yards (distance of my sprint tri next Saturday) in 13:00, total of 1650 yards in 35:00.

Bike: 24.8 miles (40K) in 1:09, averaged 240 watts.

Today: 1650 swim in 42 minutes. I was fatigued from yesterday. I normally don't swim on consecutive days, but I wanted to see if my rotator cuffs would hold up from the higher volume and they did.

May 30: Busy with life issues
May 31: Travel day. 1 hour stationary bike, 1.3 mile treadmill run. Legs were tired.
June 1: 3 mile run in 30:00, 1 hour on stationary bike
June 2: 1000 yard pool swim in 21:00. I do my first 100 in 1:35 - 1:40 and slow down to 2:00 / 100y thereafter. I think this reflects that I have to continue to work on my muscular endurance and that my form is halfway decent. 1 mile treadmill run in 7:50. 30 minutes on stationary bike.

I have decided to not do IM Boise 70.3 on June 12, but I am doing the Tri-Shark sprint on June 5 and the Rochesterfest Oly on June 20.

You've come a long way baby! Good job! How much rest are you taking on those? Manipulating the rest can make a big difference in stepping it up a notch and consistently coming in on 1:35 or faster in no time at all.
