From alpha testing to the QUERCUS 200

Breaking the bank and risking death to have foreign objects placed inside your body seems a lot harder than not skipping leg day.

So I'm adjusting well to no alcohol. I've been eating better, but not restricting my calories this week. I think I will start phase 2 this weekend and start estimating calories and restricting them. Phase 3 will be stepping on the scale. I'll probably give weighing at least a week more, but that's subject to change on a whim. Planning a 5k or further run for this weekend. I'll attempt a 5-mile run next week to celebrate my wife's 5 year run streak.

hi Q.... i think i'm there with you as alcohol being a gateway "drug" for impulsive eating. decades ago i gave up drinking scotch. too many mornings i would see food wrappers in the trash that i'd barely remember more than likely wolfing down. i still drink beer, ale, etc and i'm aware of the calories, but it's now always combined with a 3-4 mile walk. i rarely drink any alcohol at home. a short bout with Red Velvet Bailey's recently (damn you Ralph's for putting it on sale..!).

It been a long holiday weekend here and I've been a pig. Scale Monday. Ran a 5K for E's 5-year runstreak on Thursday. Day 688 today for me.

Thanks LaMa and Cate!

323 this morning. I was good at the party. Today is 692 of the runstreak. 63 more runs and I will have a new runstreak record (756). I'm going to get below 300 by day 756.

I'm going to try to post everyday. At first just here and maybe 1 other post, just to find the habit again. I've been having sciatic pain again which stinks.

Today is day 748 of the runstreak. I'm past the 2-year mark and a week away from a new PR (756). My diet has been crummy since I started hurting again. I see getting back her as a big start to getting back to healthy.

Hi, Q & welcome back & to Cory :)
Eating healthy does make everything else feel better. I'm sorry you are having sciatic pain & I hope that can be healed soon.

Today is day 748 of the runstreak
I am impressed, my longest "runstreak" is maybe 1 day... As others have said it is good to have you around, your exercise will certainly be in inspiration to a lot of us.
