From alpha testing to the QUERCUS 200

I hope everything goes well with the injection.

Take care. :grouphug:

Hooray! Fingers & toes crossed that the injection will improve things greatly Q!! xo Cate

Glad to hear you're feeling better! The more good days that you have, the better! I hope your appt for the injection goes well. :)

Hopefully the back pain will get straightened away with the pills and shots. If you start hearing after one of the pills, that's when to worry.

Thanks everybody!

The injection went well and so far I am feeling much better. The hours of waiting were the worst part. I was never out of it, but I got realy sleepy later and took a nap full of freaky dreams. I can stand up without using my arms which hasn't happened for a long time. I have to take it easy for 24 hours and then I will start with an exercise regimen.

The contest starts tomorrow. I will be HEAVY!

Thank you Cate! Still doing well and I hope you are too.

329.8 for me to start the contest and my return to the scale. Yuck! It's bad, but I was afraid of being over my old start weight of 349.2.

3.5lbs per percent is going to make it hard to win this. I have not been a rapid loser in the past, but starting from 100% sedentary maybe this will be diferent. On that hope I am chosing 299.8 as my end goal which will be 30 lbs and 9.1%. At 3.75 pounds a week that is too high, but I'm keeping it that high. I will do things the healthy way I just want to be optimistic and get below 300.

I woke up with the back still feeling fine despite being overdue for my pain medicine. I'm pretty bulletproof with my mood today. I am getting out of the house!

Goals
Short term goal 3teens by halloween
299.8 by 11/23/2013 under 300 by end of contest
297.2 by 12/7/2013 This is the minimun weight tat i will need to atain to make my first year of weight loss equal a pound a week. That's 10 weeks at 3.26 pounds a week. That's a tall order, but I'd love to see it happen.

Hello Quercus. I'm glad that it went well and you are feeling better. :)
Good luck with the (New?) goals. Have a happy (and successful!) weekend. :grouphug:

Good news Q! Hope you enjoy getting out of the house & maybe getting a walk in. I'm feeling lots better. Have had 2 days now, without the sweats, shakes or nausea. :) Coming out the other side "D Maybe I'll be more reactive to sad/happy situations & maybe that's not such a bad thing. Hope your venture outside is a good one. Take care xo Cate

Day 3 of feeling better. I feel like I have been missing for a long time. It feels odd being at work and seeing my coworkers and I only took 1 extra day off. It's just that I have been quite out of it for so long that it all feels rather new.

This morning found me at 329.2 (-.6 since Sat). My waist is at 53 inches which is a rebound of 4 inches off my lowest measure, but still 7 inches lower than late last year @ 60". I did some houserork and shopping this weekend and some slow walking. I am easing into the exercise, but I will be up to decent daily exercise soon if the back will cooperate.

I gained 16.6 lbs and 3 inches at the navel during the 19 weeks since my back injury (May 19th).

I'm going to a beginner yoga class tomorrow evening at the gym.

Good to hear you're getting back into the swing of things. Hopefully your back won't be a jerk toward you.

I'm glad things are working well for you finally! Try not to worry about weight gain since your injury. I know it's discouraging, but in the grand scheme of things it's really a small amount to get caught up on. I have all the faith in the world that you'll lose it fairly quickly and will be just fine! :)

Thanks everyone! I didn't weigh this morning, but I had a 1 day 5.6 pound jump the day before. I have been having problems sleeping and with fatigue during the day. I did my first day of field work yesterday and I am feeling pretty good. I have some pain and stiffness, but nothing like before.

I quit drinking all caffeine after 2 nights of bad sleep. I slept to excess the next 2 nights (last night amd Tuesday) as I felt exhausted. I think my body is settling down. I don't feel super tired this morning and I haven' been getting flushed and hot like I have until today.

These are normal side effects of the injection apparently. I'm happy to feel better as I haven't been doing much all week because of the fatigue. It looks like I will be struggling to get back to my starting weight by Saturday. It may be that my weight was artificially low on Saturday being 24 hours after the procedure.
