FF'in Implementation - Let's Throw

had the teens at the gym tonight. Dang it must be nice to have that energy. The biggest challenge will be keeping them from working out to much, so they can grow.

FOR ME- big night

315 squat 3 reps - 3 plates bar bending- BIG deal for me. I love being new and feeling the fast progression!

today's training

Back Squat - 4 X 6 , heaviest at 315 -3 reps

High pulls - 4 x 8 heaviest at 95 8 reps

bench press / row split
3 X 8 , heaviest bench at 225 6 reps, rows single arm at 60

Chin ups 3 x 10 (only made 6 on last set- almost threw up) ahahaa

Standing military press
3 X 8, heaviest at 155- 8 reps

OH Squat (new lift for me) 2 X 6 - heaviest at 145- 6 reps - this was not condusive to the plank challenge for tomorrow- LOL

Turkish getups- racing with the teens using 25 lbs Kettle bell

Steamed- dry steam!

Rode mountain bike 5 miles there and 5 miles back.

THERE! I posted. FINE! whatever then.... go away now!

Holy Crap! That's pretty impressive!! Not to mention all the running you did chasing the boys.. LOL

Go you!!

awesome lifts...that is very strong!!!

great job on especially the squats, bench, and military press!! your pushing is very impressive!!!
:]
how much do you weigh?

wavering right between 198 and 202. The rapid weight gain is causing me a lil bit of sciatica though, (reverb from the skydiving accident) so I am going to have to trim back some. I do not feel liek "cutting" or starving yet. 3 years was enough. I love this strength training.

Plan on sweating and running some this week, and drop 2-3 lbs. I will feel better. I also want to make sure and conserve some of my V02 from the ironman training ya know.

I am eating so much. All of my food, plus 3 protein shakes, protein in my coffee, just chowing down. Probably somewhere around 4-5K per day. But I was doing that with endurance training, though I was working hard 2-3 hours a day run/bike/swim.

I cut the cardio, lift heavy low rep, and find myself growing.

yeahhhh strength training and eating is the best dude

i never took a liking to running, maybe biking because of the thrill of going very fast on that f'ing racing bike.
but the seat is too hard on the ballz sometimes lol

keep hitting those weights!!! u do fullbody workouts i see. 3 times a week?

today:
Deadlift (4 x 8) heaviest at 255 6 reps
Weighted Lunges (2 x 12)
Bench Press / Row split (4 x 10)
Long Bar Row (4 x 8)
Pull Ups (2 x 15 or 3 attempts)
Curls / Dips split
Back Extensions / Planks split (3 sets)

Then I did a 40 minute spin class. Dang it felt good to sweat that way, get the heart rate up, hold it, and just crank the cardio. It was fun. Probably just because I spent so much time at it last few years.

PB- my workouts are all over the board right now. I am training Neon (new weight lifter) and I have 2 teenage boys that I have been helping the last few weeks. SO- I am not really on a "routine" per se.

Plus I do throws, caber toss, and stone tosses outside the hosue here.

FF,

Sorry to throw this in your journal (which btw, OUTSTANDING WORK!!!)....sometimes you're a bit slow on getting the pm's, so I'm putting this here...in your path. Hope you won't get annoyed.

Dude...I'm still miles away from you, but I've made some good progress. Most recently I rode with a former European Cycling Champion, rated 3rd-best in Sweden for 4 years running. Took him mountain biking, got him! I took some pics and hadn't realized how much progress I've made. Please check-out my journal, I won't post 'em here.

I want you to know something. Maybe it's a bit corny, but when I train, run, ride or swim....I'll sometimes push really hard and remind myself that I'm not alone, that FF is out there grinding it out and getting it done too. Long ago you challenged and pushed me, and I just wanted you to know that I've harbored some of your thought process and used you as a role model. No F-in way in hell I'll ever jump out of a perfectly good airplane, but I'll push myself till I almost pass-out and aspire to make the most of what I've got.

So Bro, I want to thank you for paving the way and helping me realize that one can not progress forward without embracing the essence of dumbnicity. ;)

Okay, I'll throw down one pic, maybe two.....:)
