OK-- I got a new camera to go wiht my new job so tomorrow I will take some pics to put in my new journal here.

ING MIAMI MArathon (seated start) VIP uniformed event for me- Jan 25th.
(My first attempt at Boston Qualifying)

Gator 70.3 Triathlon April 5th


Ironman 70.3 Calgary Canada August
(my attempt at qualifying for the Clearwater 70.3 World Championships)

BUT- I will be body building in tandem. I will use primarily body weight and tone until after the ING marathon.

It's been a nice break away fro0m this place.... and I really am struggling with coming back-- BUT!!! My Ironman results far exceeded my expectations- and I can only assume the accountability, an the athletic comradership contributed to that.

SO Whatever with everything else.....

Congrats on the new job and good luck with your projects. I am definitely gonna do Gator on April 5 with ya.
 
Awesome goals, FF!!!!

I know you can do it all and then some ;) You make it look so easy. I'd be in a wooden box if I tried an Ironman :D

tomorrow I will come out of the gate firm, not fast, but firm, and i will hold until after 10, it is gunna be cold, so I will turn things up early... my hope is sub 4 hour. The winner last year did it in 3:28- IT IS A TUFF MARATHON

after the race my kid and I will take body pics. After the race I will be working for a few hours, then I will come home and report.

G8R- do you plan to follow a plan for the Gator? I included you in a initial group e-mail. I also have your sandles and tires to return to you. Alafia is not far from you... come on over tomorrow...

I am still really sore from lifting 2 days ago, but plan to ride and swim today. I don't know if I can follow a strict training 70.3 program with my traveling, but I'm gonna take a look at some training programs and see what will work best for me.
 
OOOOUUUUUCCCCHHHHHH!!!!!

Got to race at the last second,,, pinning my number on as they took off. Spent too much energy trying catch up. Very cold out. Hard run, lots of soft sand, lots of short steep hills. Crossed water a few times.

Sparrow- I tripped! TWICE! so now you don't have to.

Came back quite strong after mile 18 (WHEN THE REAL RACE STARTS) -

Pending final results of course BUT-
Total time: 4:09:22
14th place overall


*the winner of masters turned in a time of 3:23 (tuff course baby)

and I am hurting. scabs down one leg, shoulder feels out of socket, and I feel like I SPENT IT BABY!!! GET SOME!!! I love getting my physical rocks off. The hardest part was maintaining mental focus. The trail run / Cross Country is NOT the street. NO ZONING OUT ALLOWED!!! LOL!!!

after doing an Ironman 140.6 3 weeks ago, and basically letting myself slip for 3 weeks I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS - BEING AN IRONMAN, in IRONMAN condition totally rules. This is the first time in my athletic career when I was involved in "overall" results. Much better than being an age grouper type thinker. BUT- not that big of a deal. I am just trying to enjoy it while it lasts.

Wow, that reaaalllly sounds painful. Great job though! Thats a fantasitc time for not really "training" the course and after the morning you had! thanks for tripping for me ;)
 
that run yesterday was gnarly! Got me to thinking a bit, and I do not like fitting into a class. ie: runner, triathlete, skydiver, blah blah blah

I am just an extreme athlete who loves to test limits.

Oh shoot, I will take pics today while I am all soft and stuffed with food. Maybe get a lil sweaty or whatever.

Yes, I will posting workouts other than running- when I do some... LOL!

Actually last night I was doing handstands. Turns out I have a neighbor who is fairly strong and we were competing. He cant hold still and I can. I love that stuff.

PIG OUT! I'm gunna. But I plan to sweat some today too, my legs and feet finally stopped aching.

Turns out I got 12th place overall at thte X-Country Marathon. That was cool.

I plan to bike swim run, and all sorts of sorted wild workouts. I will post them daily as I do them... I promise to have some pistols in there too PB.
