Weight-Loss February 7lb. challenge

2/1: 126 lbs
2/7 123.5 lbs
2/14: 122.9 lbs
2/22: 122.4 lbs
2/27: 121.9 lbs
Ill leave it at that unless I lose weight tomorrow :)

SO I lost 4.1 pounds....I'm actually pretty satisfied even though I didn't hit 7.
 
1st = 341
7th = 335
14th = 332
21st = 330
28th = 328

13lb lost so far :p and another two days to go to hit my 17lb target. Mmm doubt I'll get it but you never know! lol (Measure in mornings so 29th morning and 1st morning)

How's everyone else doing on their targets?

Great going Jillzy, a 9lb loss is awesome. By the end of next month you will be in onederland.

Keepitoff - you had such a great month. You don't have far to go to reach your goal.

Steve - Even though you might not hit the new target you set for yourself for the month you still did an amazing job.

I'll be weighing in tomorrow morning. Hoping to hit the goal of 7lbs for this month. I was only a tenth of a lb away from it last week so I should hopefully be there tomorrow.
 
I'm sure you'll manage to do that last little bit :p

I'm assuming we're doing another one of these for March? Any thoughts on what amount to be lost this month? More/Less?

Yep, I made the 7lbs! Here's my weigh-in for the month:

2/1 - 146.1
2/8 - 142.7
2/15 - 140.9
2/22 - 139.2
2/29 - 137.9

For a total loss for the month of 8.2lbs.

Someone runs this challenge each month with the same targeted weight loss of 7lbs.

Tarrish - Celebrate your achievements. You lost weight at the start of the month. It doesnt look like you put on weight from your trip and you have got your exercise back on track.

If anyone wants to aim for a lower or greater weight loss they can do so. Many people struggle to get anywhere near 7 pounds. When I was bigger I used to have a better rate of weight loss - but this deep into a long term project any loss is good. I only lost 3.8 pounds in January - a month when I walked over 360 miles - so it is not like I have stopped trying. People with just a few pounds to lose can really struggle to shake them off.

It is counterproductive to set too high a target - as we would not want a lot of people to work hard and still feel a failure.

A lot of authorities say that a healthy rate to lose weight is 1.5 to 2 pounds per week. That fits in nicely with a target of 7 pounds.


Starting weight, 1.02.08: 11st 10.8lbs i.e. 164.8 pounds
Week 1, 08.02.08: 11st 08.6 i.e. 162.6 pounds (total loss 2.2 pounds)
Week 2, 15.02.08: 11st 07.4 i.e. 161.4 pounds (total loss 3.4 pounds)
Week 3, 22.02.08: 11st 02.8 i.e. 156.8 pounds (total loss 8.0 pounds)
Week 4, 29.02.08: 11st 02.8 i.e. 156.8 pounds (lotal loss 8.0 pounds)

Total weight loss: 8 pounds

I always get skewed weight loss - but I have to say that I am pleased with my loss of 8 pounds over the month.

It is over 20 years since I was last at this weight!

That is just amazing!!!!!!!!! Being at a weight you haven't been in 20 years....I truly can't imagine how wonderful that must feel. You must be so proud of yourself.....CONGRATS!!!!!!!!

Thanks Keepitoff83. It does feel pretty good. I am winning the war but have a few more battles to go before I get to victory.

Feb 15 - 134.1 / 131.2 (trend / scale)
Feb 22 - 132.2 / 130.0 (trend / scale)
Feb 29 - 130.1 / 127.4 (trend / scale)

Down 7.2 by trend, 6.8 by scale.
 
Great job Omega!!!! Way to go. I'll be posting my final weight tomorrow because I forgot to weigh myself in the morning today. I had a three hour long test so I was forgetting a lot other then the test questions. Three hour tests should be illegal! I think I sweat off a pound during it though so that helped. lol

EW: 169 Lost three pounds. I didn't hit my goal, but three pounds is still good and I'm finally out of the 170s!!! Lets hope it stays that way. :D
 
Start weight 154.5 lbs.

I didn't make the seven pounds...yet again :p

I lost a total of 5.5 lbs by the end of the month.
