Yet another busy weekend. :)

Sorry for the lack of entries, tonight I will be doing my new routine, kind of excited...I will be doing renegade rows for my back for a good 6-8 weeks. They look like fun...aside from that, nothing too special.

I have three entries to post tonight, one for Thursday, one for Saturday and one for tonight...

Have a good Monday morning! :costumed:

another new routine? LOL
Renegade rows are a pretty advanced move I think. I tried them just to see how they are. Uhhhh yeah its gonna take some practice.

"A New Routine"

Erics got a new routine
his workouts have yet to be seen
Kraken is gonna crack him with a ballpeen
get to work you queen

every excuse in the book
I took a look
at your training and my head just shook

Any of your 15
routines
is yet to be seen

before you start something new
your plan you must review
All I see is a gray hue
what is supposed to be training
looks more like complaining

That's hilarious, Kraken!!! I didn't know you were such a poet. In fact, I'd rate you right up there with Shakespeare ...

I'm just wondering whether Eric would mind elucidating on his 15 routines ...

on a food note

I'm getting good at making up some bomb ass stir fry. Sunday I cooked one up with chicken. egg. broccoli, carrots, snow peas, onions, red and green pepper, and fresh garlic. Seasoned with lemon pepper, crushed red pepper, and a bit of garlic salt. Used chili garlic and spicy szechan sauce.

This **** is bomb. spicy as hell but thats the way I like it.

Yes, that's a much better idea. Come up and fish here. I'll help ;)

It's mostly rainbow trout and brown trout. But they taste yummy :)

And don't forget there's always time for a weekend in Campbell River on Vancouver Island for the best salmon fishing in the world ;)

I love Coho and Sockeye salmon ...

I've never caught a sockeye, now you have me even more interested.

Eric, here's my workout from Sunday. Not a great one, but I can't do any upper body workouts where the use of my bicep is required until my tendon heals :) That's my excuse :D

15 warmup on bike, 50% resistance, 90rpm. Just a nice pace. HR still in low aerobic zone (obviously).

Squats (I can't use too much weight here as a result of my bicep issue).
Warm-up: 1x10 at 100lbs
3x10 at 125lbs
1x10 at 150lbs. Had a guy spotting me just in case my arm decided to give me grief and I had to let go of the bar ... it's horrifying finding out how much your bicep/shoulder does when you can't use them ...

Lunges
3x10 (couldn't pick up more than 20lb BBs for these, but better than a kick in the butt)

Leg Press
1x10 175lbs
2x10 190lbs
1x10 205lbs

Hamstring Curls
3x10 90lbs
1x9 100lbs

TRICEPS
I did the following at about 75% of normal weight because of the bicep issue:

Kick backs
3x10 10lbs

Skullcrushers
3x10 20lbs

Wall push-ups (how humbling). Hurt my bicep doing them, so I must be doing them wrong ... maybe I'm too far away from the wall and using too much weight.

Then did 20 minutes of core work.

Ended with 20 minutes of leg and glute stretching.

I've never caught a sockeye, now you have me even more interested.

You know how good sockeye salmon tastes out of a can? Or frozen?

Well, triple that and that's about how good it tastes fresh. And the natives will smoke your fish for you in their smoke house, too :)

Smoked salmon ... that's for the pink salmon you catch. Nobody should ever smoke Coho or Sockeye!

Chinook salmon (you can fish for those at Campbell River) weigh well over 100lbs. They're huge, Kraken. You'd love it there :)

Sockeye and Pinks are mid-July through August, September is Coho season, Chum are available in October and Chinooks are available year-round.

yeah we have Coho, Chinook, pinks, and Atlantics here in the great lakes.
Nothing close to 100 lbs though. 30lbs tops.
Give me a 2 or 3lbs Coho and I'm happy.

Our Coho weigh up to 15lbs. They're bigger and better out here :D

The Chinook weigh up to 125lbs. Chum weigh up to 10lbs. The Pink are small; only about 5lbs. A Sockeye can weigh up to 7lbs. They get pretty beat up when spawning ...

There's also Steelhead trout, which is really a type of salmon ;)

Any way you look at it, it's just yummy!!!!

Steelhead rock. We get a good run of those in the river by our place in NW Michigan. We also have a summer run variety called Skamania. They can get over 30 lbs.

Sounds like awesome fishing in the Lake State! :)

I don't think we have Skamania. But we do have Leutonia :D
