I can think of another pretty good stress reliever...

Last nights training

weighted crunches 6x25
push ups 1x50, 1x60

incline BP
200 lbs 2x12
220 lbs 1x12, 1x10

BOR's
150 lbs 3x12
160 lbs 1x8

DL's
180 lbs 1x8
200 lbs 2x8
180 lbs 1x8
Been a while since I've done these so I didn't want to lift too heavy. Took a couple reps to make sure my form was perfect.

chest flies
80lbs 3x12

close grip BP
90 lbs 3x12

bicep curls
2x12
90lbs

I need to do some tweaking. Chest flies sucked how ****ing pointless. I think I'm going to replace them with face pulls when I train on wednesday.
My hamstrings are fried today from the DL's.

Good liftin there matey. Look at you, getting better already at the BORs...seems like just yesterday you decided to jump to 150, now you are finishing with 8 reps at 160. Good DL-ing as well, better to have perfect form than anything else.

Hahaha, so you think flys suck? I don't do em often, but they always stretch the **** outta my chest so I figure it's a nice change of pace, working the muscle a little differently. I recally in Arnold's Education of a Bodybuilder, he thinks quite highly of flys. Anyhow, you know I love facepulls, in fact I just set myself a record on them last night! Do it!

The BOR's rock! I couldn't omit them from this routine. I'm progressing nicely and didn't want to stop.

What do the face pulls work again? Is it the delts?

I know what you mean, flys don't feel like a very exhaustive lift, but I think they are nice to add in.

Hell yeah man, DLs are wicked. I have had a lot of fun with them, although I have trouble advancing with them, when I up the weight, I tend to have form issues and end up dropping my numbers right back down.

I hear ya on BORs...doesn't matter how long you've been doing em either, if you're progressing, no reason to change up.

Hmm, I'm not always good at pinpointing what muscle get activated...I'd say it's definitely traps working, but also deltoids, biceps, forearms...just a great lift.

I always found DB chest flies real awkward...but I found that they hit my pecs quite hard as MMW said. They stretch the **** out of mine too...

Also, Kraken, your going to have to do BOR's with the bumper of a car soon...I need to see those lats......


As for me,

I did absolutely nothing last night and it did me a great deal of good. Took the time to think about some stuff and I've decided that I need to move the **** out of my apartment asap. Most of my stress lately is coming from the idiot I live with (roomate). I honestly can't stand his **** any longer. I honestly think I need to not be so tolerant and nice all the time...

So, tonight - I have some calls to do and some notices to give. I picture myself not living with this guy and I imagine it feels just about like heaven. He's going to have a reality check when I tell him I'm moving out.

Oh yeah, I destroyed my back doing Romanian DLs once...luckily it healed very fast, but for the first day or 2, I could barely move.
 
ran on the treadmill last night for 27 minutes. I'm not a big fan of the treadmill but its better than nothing I suppose. At least I can rock out while I'm on the treadmill. Another Rage Against the Machine night. For some reason I'm on a Rage kick. :action7:
 
When I first started doing deadlifts I would get this weird euphoric/high feeling but my lower back was shot to hell the next day. It was so bad that stacking wood and pushing a wheelbarrow was terrible pain. I remember thinking I was doing myself damage. It's weird though. My form hasn't gotten any better or worse but the pain is gone and I lift continues to go up :confused4: Who knows...

It was probably just sore muscles. I get that same euphoric feeling when I do any really taxing lifts. Squats, DL's, heavy BP's, etc.

I won't be training again until monday. I'm headed to the great white north to chase the elusive whitetail deer around. I'm sure I'll get plenty of exercise going up and down hills trapsing through the woods.

If I see an actual Yeti I'll be sure to put a 30-06 slug in it to verify its existence.

Deer I'm chasing deer. they are in the sheep family BTW.

You're right. I apologize. I may use that rifle to coerce the Yeti into letting me mount her.
