Hi stacy- didn't realize i had to list my goals. But here it is- i would like to lose 2.2 lbs every month (more if i can, but 2.2 right now is good) and if by the end of the year I can be 126lbs or 57kgs, I will be very very happy. :)

Well, you don't have to list your goals, but sometimes it's good to show what you're aiming for. :) Some people want to lose 10 lbs a month and might see losing 6 lbs in a month as a failure, other might be aiming for losing 4 lbs a month and will see that same 6 lbs as a great success. It's all about our goals and our outlooks! lol :D

I think 2.2 lbs a month is totally doable. :) The doctors say losing weight slowly is best, so you've got a good mindset. I'm just totally impatient so my goals are like 2 lbs a week. lol I don't know if I'll get there but here's hoping! :D

BTW, you've got a great positive attitude! That's going to take you far, hun! *hugs*

My starting weight (march 23rd) is 236.6 pounds and my goal by 12/31/2010 is to be 176!

March 31 - 230.8 lbs 5.8 lost. (probably half water haha!)

Looking forward to this..

I think this challenge is a great idea. It's so much easier when you know there are so many people working towards the same goals and facing the same kind of challenges.

My numbers:

Age: 46
Height: 5'5"
Start Date: July 22nd 2010
Start Weight: 235
Current Weight: 228

Week 1/July 29th: 231
Week 2/Aug 5th : 229

My goal is to lose 2 pounds per week. That puts my year end goal weight at 189 pounds. My final goal is 150 pounds.
Am worried about my weekly weigh in tomorrow though, coz I've cheated a little this week. Hope I meet my 2 pounds weekly target!
 
How is everyone doing? I can't believe that the end of August is just around the corner, I had better get my butt in gear to meet and beat the targets I have set myself! Those of you that are losing between 8 and 12lbs a month, how are you doing it? I know I have had an amazing month but thats because I am starting out. Where do you all find your motivation?

Well, I didn't quite make the 8 pounds I wanted to lose, but it's really close, so I'll take it and be happy. Goal for September is 6 pounds, mostly since my mini goal right now is to lose 60 pounds (be 159.8) by October 1st.

I was around 202lbs at the start of April 2010 (212lb in Jan) and want to get to 150lbs by the end of the year.

Well here is one more participant in this new year challenge. I have been trying few times to lose weigh but it seems difficult .. that`s because of the low motivation.
