I suppose since I have a goal for the end of the year, I might as well make it official and officially challenge myself to do it.

June 30th: 363.8
July 31st: (350)

Dec 31st: (299.9 :p)

Total Lost: (63.9 lbs)

Those are my goals anyways, to lose 10lbs a month through the end of the year. See you all at the end of the month for the next weigh in.
 
May I join in this challenge so late into the year? Or did I miss it for this year and I can come back next year?

Well, I had said my goal for June was 10 pounds and I nearly made it! But I can't even be too happy for that because I know my July weight loss is going to be bad. Damn plateau... :cuss: Right now, I'll feel lucky if I lost 4 pounds this month. See you all in a few days!

This looks fun! There is only about 5 months left in the year but count me in!

I want to try and do the healthy way of 2 lbs a week, so that's 40 more pounds to lose in the next five months. My starting weight on April 25th was 385 pounds. My goal by 12/31/2010 is to be 308 lbs - that will be 77.2 pounds total weight loss since starting my new healthy lifestyle at the end of April. Though truth be told I would love to be under 300 before the start of the new year, but it's probably best to do only 2 lbs a week, as that's what most doctors recommend.

April 25 - 385 lbs Starting Weight
April 30 - 380 lbs [5 lbs lost] 5 lbs lost total
May 31 - 368.8 lbs [11.2 lbs lost] 16.2 lbs lost total
June 30 - 357.8 lbs [11 lbs lost] 27.2 lbs lost total
July 31 - 347.8 lbs [10 lbs lost] 37.2 lbs lost total

Well, I guess that's not too, too bad considering I hit a plateau in the middle of the month. I seem to be coming out of it now, so my goal for August is 8 pounds.

Well, I'm not complaining because some lbs are better than none! Plus, work has been MANIC this month so not as much time to go running as I'd like and no chance to get to the gym. I need to make some space for that stuff as I think it is what makes the difference between 0lb and 5lbs!

Absolutely! I hope you find the time. :D If you have access to a gym treasure that! I don't and I'm so jealous of people who do. lol I got to use a gym every night on my vacation and I miss it SO MUCH!
 
Hello from Switzerland! I am new and looking for some diet buddies. I know you guys started out earlier in the year but I am hoping to get a warm welcome. I currently weigh around 254lbs, I would like to lose minimum of 10lbs a month until the end of the year making my goal for 12/31/10 as 204 lbs or there abouts. However my dream is to be 199lbs. I would be happy with either acheivement.
I have changed my calorie intake and am walking for 60 mins per day pushing 2 kids in a double jogger

Hi stacy- didn't realize i had to list my goals. But here it is- i would like to lose 2.2 lbs every month (more if i can, but 2.2 right now is good) and if by the end of the year I can be 126lbs or 57kgs, I will be very very happy. :)
