You did 48 power cleans in one day?
wtf.

Yes, all of these are supposed to be 1 warmup set of 12 and then 3 sets of 12. I misjudged what I could handle on a few of these. I have never done power cleans before, so I started off light, but I was too light.

6/7/08

Ran 14.4 miles; 1:59:18; Pace 8:11 min/mile. Was 72 degrees at the start and 80 degrees when I finished with 70% humidity. This was the warmest weather I have run in so far and it went well. Odds are that the marathon will be cooler than this, probably much cooler.

The tendon in my foot is still bothering me. It started stiffening up just before 5 miles and was sore by 6 miles. It had actually felt better for the 12 mile run last week than it did through 6 this week even though it didn't bother me much in my runs all week. I was able to run through it, but it looks like it may be something I will still be dealing with during the marathon.

This is my last long training run. I have the bike portion of the tri next weekend and then the marathon is the following week. Almost there.

Standing Bent Over Row - 95x12; 185x12; 185x12; 185x12
Military Press (supinated grip) - 50x12; 90x12; 80x12; 80x12
Front Squat - 95x12; 160x12; 160x12; 160x12
Good Morning - 90x12; 160x12; 160x12; 160x12
Calf Raise - 200x12; 350x12; 350x12; 350x12

Played 6 games of volleyball, went 3-3.

Ah I see. Asking because 99% of the time when people do power cleans, its very heavy weights and usually less than 5 reps.

Good job on the runs btw.

Thanks Phate.

How is life treating the Drex?

Keep up the good work!

You are showing us all how it is done!

YOU FLAT ROCK!

Hell, you are a ROCK!

And, for a laugh when you see this post (hopefully):

Are you really ALONE and UNKNOWN? Lets see, he, he

Drex was ALONE before he joined the forum because he put on the wrong COLOGNE and was THROWN in the stink ZONE :(

Drex joined the forum and hired a fitness DRONE and now sat on his personal THRONE and threw away his COLOGNE.

Dex then met Sharon and his BONE became a CYCLONE and was never ALONE while in the PRONE on the THRONE

Therefore, I do not POSTPONE that I have SHOWN that Drex became better KNOWN while he MOANED and GROANED on his fitness THRONE.

However, Sharon became pissed and turned Drex into a STONE. But all at Fitness.com will never let him be ALONE and will assist him to stay on top his fitness THRONE so he can GROAN:

ROCK ON!

:)

Thanks Chillen, life is treating me well. Training is going well. I am tapering down now as the marathon approaches. Next week I will have very little to do as far as workouts. I am going to try to get a late garden started. :) Thanks for asking.

As far as the rhyme, perception may not be reality, but I am not sure I get it all. :)

Thanks much Sparrow! It's nothing compared to some of your days. :)

I have the bike portion of an oly tri this Sunday.

I posted these in the pics forum, but going to throw them in my journal as well. I bottomed out at 193.8 lbs.

Biked 9 miles; 31:09; avg speed 17.3 mph. Bike race is on Sunday. I am no where near where I had hoped to be for biking speed, but I did what I could to get ready for this in the midst of my marathon training. Relay Oly Tri on Sunday with my sister swimming and my dad running. My dad is old enough to kick us up into the older division. :)

Its always good when you can go and whip some old dudes! From that description it seems like it is a beutiful location to run.

My next event will be this one I have been doing it for three years now. What are fees like to enter events over there. Im keen to run the new york and london marathon by the time I turn 30.

Hey NBS, for the bike it will be mostly fields for scenery. :) The start/finish is a nice area between 2 lakes. That tough guy challenege looks like a lot of fun! The fee for this for us was $75. My marathon was $75 as well I believe. Most events range from $35 - $75 on average from what I have seen, depending on what they are.

I am going to my 2 yr olds dance recital tonight. As soon as it is finished I will make the drive down to my parents. Then the Triathlon tomorrow morning.
