Weight-Loss Continuing on with Accountability

Weight-Loss

Some of us just finished an accountability contest...I like the idea of holding myself accountable with others who feel the same way. I need the checking in and the motivation to do it with other people's support.

My idea for this thread is:

Start with a weight and weight in weekly.Same day every week...in your introduction thread.

Check in daily with a menu and exercise or whenever you can accounting for the days you werent online.

Every week we can take turns giving the thread a challenege to follow for the week OR we can post our own Challeneges for the week...We can do it either way.

I think daily water take should be added as well!

If interested Please sign in with an introduction of yourself and a starting weight.

I am Cerella> I am a single mom of two girls...4 and 14. I work nights in a group home. I have been working at loosing weight for longer than I would like to admitt.I focus for a little bit loose track, take a break regain and so on. This time I have been serious for awhile now without falling off the wagon or taking a break. I have learnt to put out more than I put in and it has been working. For the first time I feel optimistic that I will reach my goal of getting below 200 as a starter. My first mini goal was to fit into my jeans agian and I have just accomplished that.

I will weight in on Saturday morning as I work nights through the week and my weight flectuates alot due to lack of sleep.LOL...I feel my weight is the most accurate on Saturday mornings after I have gotten a full nights sleep.

A sample: We will weigh in , in our introduction thread and post our weight there weekly. Then copy and past as a new post so we can see your progress:)

Start Weight -230
Saturday: Sept 6 -
Saturday: Sept 13 -
Saturday: Sept 20 -
Saturday: Sept 27 -
Goal for end of September -
222

Hi I'm Allie :) Im 26 and from bonny Scotland! I really enjoyed the last challenge so I am really please that Cerella is continuing the theme! Im a teacher so Im usually pretty stressed out and tend to consume wayyy too much wine and convenience foods. I lost around 14lbs in the last challenge so im hoping that this new one will have a similar result! My halloweeen target is to get down to 14st 196lbs. Sooo got around 18lbs to lose in 2 months! A bit unrealisitic but I am really going to step things up and train hard at the gym!

Cerella will we be using points again for challenges and weight lost? We could have a weekly tally to let us see how we are doing compared to everyone else?

Ya we could. But could we set it up so we can add them as we go through the week and tally it ourselves ? Do you think that could work ? It would just need to be based off of honesty but everything else is too.

Hi guys! I just woke up so this introduction will suck! but I am Nikki, and I am 18. :p

Starting Weight: 162.7

yeah tallying as we go would work - so if we just agree what each pound, challenge and exercise time is worth then add them together?

looking forward to it :)

Yup im game for that.As long as I dont have to spend the time adding everything up, lol.If we depended on me to do it , it wont be done...LOL

Maybe challeneges can be worth 10 point for the week cuz the challenege will be more important to have to follow through with...

Weight loss can be exactly what it is - if you loose .5 points you get .5 points.

I liked the water counting in ozs. Water can be the number of ozs you drink daily...so 32 ozs is 32 points.

And exercise...hhhmmm...Id like to go per day not per minutes or whatever...how about 5 points a day for 45mins + ... as long as you do 45mins as a minumin or above...it is worth 5 points.(that isnt too much is it)Most of us im sure do more than that at a time...plus it is a little more incentive than the basic 30 mins a day

Point System

Challeneges
4 points a day...the days you complete the challenege you recieve 4 points...also if you do it everyday for the whole week you can reveive 30 points.A little bonus over the 4 points a day.Added incentive and a reward!

Weight Loss
What you loose is your points...(.5lbs = .5 points)

Water
Water in ozs...what you drink is what we get.32ozs is 32 points

Exercise
5 points a day for 45 mins+ So 45mins and above gets you 5 points a day...if no exercise that day no points...

One other thing...

Checking in daily with food and exercise
2 points a day...It is about accountability, checking in daily is important and recording everything for us to see good or bad is part of it all.

I hope that sounds ok...let me know what you think...When should we start is the next question...and i like us each taking turns and appointing challeneges.I will start, I figure maybe it will be just as easy to go down the sign up list in order of joining...

Sounds great to me!

Thanx:)

I had one other thought while I was out playing tennis this morning.

I thing we should run a daily total and a weekly total...

Daily Point Total:
Weekly Point Total:

And just add them up as we go and check in daily. And at the end of the week we can post what our points were and such!

Hey all! I'm a 38 year old mother of 3. I'm in a couple other challenges, but they are just weigh in. I probably need the most accountability with water:smash: Everything else I do pretty good on, especially working out because I'm one of those freaks that actually enjoys it:ack2::smilielol5:

My goal this month is to crack the 200 barrier and be officially in the 100's again.

Starting Weight: 211 lbs

Hi everyone!

I am Anke, and I'm 20 yrs old. I just moved out with my boyfriend, and we are both working. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life, but until such time I am a belly dancer and a writer :)

I embarked on my lifestyle change at the beginning of April this year, and in the last 5 months have lost 30 pounds. I have another 11 to go til my BMI is borderline normal... then the fun starts, I may lose another 10-20 after that depending on what I decide.

Oh, I'm officially on a program, similar to weight watchers, but basically it's just calorie restriction, healthy choices plus exercise. I weigh in at a meeting every Thursday, so that's when I'll update my weights. I have started skipping recently, as well as riding 8 km to work, and 8km back on a bicycle, as of this morning!

Starting Weight (28 Aug): 176.4

Thursday 11th Sept: 178.6 gained 2.2 :(

Thursday 18th Sept: 177

Thursday 25th Sept: 175

Thursday 2nd Oct: 174

TARGET FOR END OF SEPT IS 174 LBS

Let's DO THIS!!!

We need a challenege..LOL...how about no junk food this week...LOL...a bad down fall for me...chips, chocolate etc...im not eliminating fast food, just junk food.

Ok, so I'm glad this is starting today, as last night I had a huge binge. I just kept eating and eating to fill some void I can not identify...

Anyway, I must break the habit, and I will start with tonight. This no junk food challenge will be good for me too!

Ok, here's to a good first week! :Angel_anim:
