Thoughts:
I’d call that about a 9 for effort. I was feeling pretty wrecked when I was done, but I could’ve rested a bit less and not been such a chicken**** as to waste nearly 10 mins worrying about a couple of little twinges in my shoulders and back on the RDLs.

Pretty good gains, there, though. I’ve noticed a trend of my bench and military presses suffering for the bigger lifts, but that’s fine. There’s a reason I have the back stuff first. I know that whatever gets the first crack is going to see the fastest improvement (used to be bench and squat I think). Was still a little light on SLDL’s and BO Rows, but I’m getting there.

Was kinda weak on bench form, though. On that last rep I got mad, made some animal noises and threw the bar up (my legs and butt left the bench) so hard it left my hands. Catching it hurt a little. XD

Need to start editing this in html so I can use Dreamweaver. BBcode takes way too damn long.

Thanks guys.

90 mins stationary cycling, 30.0 miles, 1241 calories

Updated my body transformation contest post. It seems I've gained a quarter inch each in my biceps and thighs and lost about a half inch each in my hips, chest and waist. Not quite what I was hoping for, but meh, it's something.

So you're gaining muscle and losing fat? Yep, sounds like something good! :)

Man, I wish I hadn't forgotten about the contest. I'm really kicking myself now that I've missed the deadline.

Haha, thanks, FF. I hope so. It just seems unrealistic, being able to gain enough muscle to entirely offset my fat loss. Even the best results you hear about aren't *that* good, but we'll see what it looks like in a couple weeks. After that, it's keto and/or mini bulk/cut cycles for me.

I'm up to 210.4 now, from 209.0 yesterday. Why. T_T Haha. That's too bad you couldn't get in on the contest. The more competition, the better. ;) :SaiyanSmilie_anim: Y'know, they might make an exception. Last day to sign up was only yesterday You could ask. :

120 mins stationary cycling, 40.0 miles, 1676 calories (still seems too high - still only counting it at half for my intake numbers)

I was being a little bitch and trying to rationalize my way out of having to bike, so I did two things: a) I made myself watch Tristan and Isolde b) didn't get off the bike or hit stop until it was over. The biking was actually quite refreshing, but having to watch that sad love story was awful. So, uh, yer. That'll learn me.

I also made an interesting discovery tonight. My seat has been too far forward, so my knees were pretty far off the "almost but not quite fully extended at the peak of the pedal stroke". After adjusting I discovered that it was slightly more difficult, but I experienced less fatigue/soreness (though there was little to begin with at this pace). I think it was because being too close was making my calves do more work than they should have been.

hmmm, this isn't my comment, but I have a comment on your cmment. Lots of peeps seems to even gain some weight as they "convert" some of that fat into muscle. Especially with as HEAVY as you are...hahahahaha

;)

get mad at me now, love me later. hahahahah

I definately shoudl not submit on this reply... :) oh,,, you know me.

209.6 this morning.

FF, if you think I'm heavy now, you should've seen me at 280. :p The weird thing aboot it, and I guess it's not really all that weird, is if I don't weight train I drop weight hella fast. Seems like when I weight train it doesn't matter what I eat, I just maintain/gain for quite a while after the initial loss (which is likely waterweight). I'm gonna try keto for a bit after the week off from weight training (during which I will start running). If my results don't reset, that is.

I have a hard time believing my genetics are that outstanding. Then again, I was quite the sports star when I was a kid, before I got fat. I played 3 different sports in 3 different leagues and was the leading scorer on each team. I was usually on defense, too.

Awww, is someone a little jealous of the other FF? ;)

Thoughts:
Can’t really complain. Felt a bit of that twinge again, but pretty well ignored it. Hard to keep the time down when I’m doing more sets at twice the rest and having to use the straps. Not gonna worry about it too much. It’s not like there’s any pressure.

Bench finally went up a bit, das good. Found the right weight for my MP’s, also finally. Und das ist auch gut. Same for the row, actually. Alright, so it was a pretty excellent session. Bruce would approve. Not quite as difficult as last time, but my heart was still thumping like that of a rabbit running from a hungry wolf.

Sunday’s the last one, then a week off (and the simultaneous beginning of running, assuming the weather gods comply).

Decided not to do any cardio tonight. I'm not making excuses, I just want to see if I can get to bed earlier. And I think I might, I'm sleepy already.

Starting tomorrow, fasted cardio. :SaiyanSmilie_anim: I know it definitely works for me, so less procrastinating, more waking up earlier. Sucks, though, 'cause that's 2 hours of my work day I gotta fill with something else now.

Bed earlier? Dude its 1250 am, what time are you aiming for? I usually go to bed at 1am and wake up at 6am to get ready for work. I tell myself to go to bed earlier, but I never do.

Well, when I'm not active I sleep about 9 hours a day, as per the sleep thread. Keep in mind time zone differences (it's coming up on midnight here). I usually get up around 7am, but lately I'm sleeping later and waking up earlier, and I feel fine, but it's throwing my schedule off.

Just trying to see if it's the evening cardio that's doing it (the sleeping later). If it isn't, well, I'll carry on. I want to try to be in bed around 11'ish every night, and up at 6. That'll give me what seems to be enough sleep now and allow me 1.5-2h in the morning for some fasted cycling.

This is only my second day without doing any cardio in almost a month. :p The other time was pretty much an accident.

1.5-2 hours of cardio in one session? Wow, now you're scaring me. Off to do some cycling myself. Don't want you to catch me in the contest, hehehe.

Workouts look good and STRONG!!!! I increased weights a bit yesterday and was pretty happy with my workout. Keep up the good work. Take care, Greg
