Consistency. It's not a pizza topping.

90 mins stationary cycling, 26.6 miles, 1126 calories

And I get to have some "dessert" because I'm under calories for the day. Woot. Life is good.

I thought the skiing would take more out of me than it did. I could really just do nearly unlimited amounts of this level of cycling I think. And I don't see why not really except for boredom. It's roughly equivalent to a fast but not hurried walk for me.

I noticed again today that I'm bigger on the top half of my torso and smaller on the bottom. My arms feel much more powerful and less flabby (I can see lines on the sides kinda) than before, my entire back feels so much thicker than it used to, and my chest seems bigger at the top and smaller at the bottom - I can even make my moobies dance. I mean I'd never tried before cause I think it's ridiculous, but I can!

Taking a new pic on the 29th (1/3 of the way through the contest) and hopefully some of y'all can tell me what you think. Last time the one month photos were brutal. I couldn't see much of a difference at all. But I now know that it's relatively normal in my situation, AND I don't care. I would like to do well in this contest but should it not be in the cards I won't be using it as any kind of excuse to become discouraged.

No surrender. :SaiyanSmilie_anim:

210.0 lbs, 97.7 F this morning.

Ohmagawd, my weight go down two day in a row. Dese is exciting news.

So a couple minutes ago I did the Navy Seal body fat test thing Wrangell linked, just for kicks. 27.9% :bncry:. But on the other hand, apparently my waist is down 1.5 inches from 5 days ago? What what. :D Could be the time of day, though, who knows.

I dunno what a 15.5 inch neck on a 5'10" frame says aboot me.

Forgot to mention I discovered a most excellent trick for my bench. Without having my legs leave the ground I do sort of... a full body breakdancing-"worm"-like hop that allows me to slam my shoulders against the bench and push out hard. This helps me to get the weight off the rack feeling strong instead of weak, which translates to the weight feeling light for the rest of the set instead of the other way around (which is a pretty big problem when benching on your own).

Then I noticed that I could do the second half of the motion on every rep (pushing my upper body away from the bar rather than pushing the bar away from me). Works great.

Hahaha, youse guys. I guess so, huh, Karky?

I've noticed my temperature drops about a point when I don't manage to meet my calorie goals. Only had 2000 cals yesterday, which is about as much as I'll eat (on a weight training day no less) if I don't watch myself.

Also I need to stop slacking on my cardio like I have been (sortof) the last couple days. Been upping my NEPA a lot, but that's translated to either running out of time for cardio or just not doing it. Functionally I don't think it makes a whole lot of difference, but meh. Oh, actually, yesterday on the WLF the ladies were all like, "I starting a couch-to-5k running club!" and then I was like, "Ooooh, me want." So I'm kind of gonna start running today. Not the brightest idea on keto, I know, but it needs to get done at some point. I require being reasonably fit this summer. Not just looking like it. So, uh, yeah. Mapped out a test route by the river and we'll see how that goes. I kinda have this suspicion that I will be able to run the full 3 miles but maybe I'm just overconfident. Took my resting heart rate before I got out of bed for the first time today and it was 45. What the eff, 45. I am mutant. :(

Edit: Forgot to mention that when I eat under 2500 I wake up hungry. So, cut it out, self.

I am officially a runner. :D

So I ran 2 miles in 20 minutes just now. I could've done 3 or more I'm pretty sure, but I want to follow the rules (couch-to-5k) on this one. At least to start. If it turns out to be too easy I'll crank up the heat. :flame: And it certainly wasn't too easy - that 2 miles broke its foot off in my ass. But hey, I'm still standing. And only 15 or so minutes later my mutant heart rate is already back down to 70, from a crazy high (for me) 160.

The route I picked sucked with the swiftness so I just winged it all over the place and used my trusty new (check it out!) to figure it out afterwards.

Edit: Oh, man. This **** is gonna be addictive, I can tell. I already wanna go back out and run some more. I feel like I didn't try. XD

I don't get this pedometer thing. I think I told it I ran around the block somewhere in Ohio.

You pick a starting location, then you double click to set "waypoint"s for each street intersection. It adds up the sum of the lengths of the lines connecting these waypoint dots. You can go back and forth and all over the place. Quite handy if you ran like I did today: I kept getting held up by lights and the train so instead of waiting there and throwing my **** off I would just turn and either run back the way I came or to the left/right, and often looped back.

211.0 lbs, 96.7F today.

I guess 2000 calories or so means about a 10% drop in metabolism. I guess I'll stay here for a while and see what up. I wanna run again today. :D But I guess I'll settle for strength training in the afternoon. And paying a visit to my lately neglected cycle.

Edit: I guess I say "I guess" a lot. Hahaha.

Change it up with "I suppose." Makes you sound more distinguished :p

Good going with the running. I think I may be making excuses to avoid running in public
