Hello to everyone we are all doing so well and before long we'll all be shopping for nice clothes. I decided to get real with my program seen as though ive been stuffing around all year on it so this weekend i give it my all and this is day 3 starting weight 95.8kg now 93.8kg probably alot of fluid gone but im drinking 4.5 litres of water a day which i believe is doing something. I was talking to my friend in Perth who lost 30kg didnt cheat once on her program a total of 14 weeks thats awesome cos two weeks of that was the refeed and she has easily maintained it infact when i was talking to her the other night at 11pm she was eating chocolate coated bullets lucky her. Im not going to dwell on things but I did get down to 78kg this year only to give in a go off the program it shows you how all the hard work goes out the window if you dont finish and refeed eh. Sammy dont stress you'll be fine I lost 15kg in the first 6weeks but yes the weightloss is about a 2kg loss for most people once your body settles into the diet, and a bit slower when you get near your goal. Keep up the great weightloss everybody. Talk soon Chez:) http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ez...;10704;78;1;0/c/-2/t/-27.79/k/4057/weight.png

Hi Everyone,
I missed breakfast this morning. Too busy getting oldest child off to school camp and middle child who was having school uniform dramas.
I think I need to make muffins for these types of days, because it is so easy just to say 'it's too late to eat now'.

Thanks to all for your meal ideas.

Sammy - Your weight loss might depend on how much you have to lose overall. My weight loss is very slow and has been from the start. I am losing around 1kg a week. It is frustrating because I want it all now..but realise I am in the best shape I have been in for years and I'm eating really well.

It will be 7 weeks for me on Thursday. I am still not hungry although I have noticed I am in the cupboards a lot 'looking' for something. Eating for me has always been a comfort thing (food never lets you down) and I will be getting the results of my exams on Friday. My stress levels have gone up considerably.
My consultant said that could be in part why my weight loss is so slow. Stress slows down everything apparently. So...with that...my life isn't going to get any less stressful so I might as well focus on the positive - I am losing weight but at a snails pace :)

I am off to a function this week where they will be serving the best wine! ( I'd love even half a glass!) and really yummy food. Somehow I don't think Cohens will be on the menu. I'll let you know how I go! ;)

Its great to see so many posts - everyone is doing so well!!

Hi everyone.

I'm pleased to report my skin seems to have settled down from the bread. Today I was allowed to have 2 pieces of bread so I made a chicken salad sandwich. It didn't look very big, but I struggled to eat it all. Before the diet, I could scoff a a huge baguette or a double cut roll down no problems at all! Now, I can't even get through a sandwich!!! I'm really struggling with the quantities on the refeed and I'm not even close to eating all that I'm allowed. But I guess that's a good thing because at least I'm not eating just for the sake of it.

Divinemissnat, glad to hear you got through your first day okay. The 5 hour gap is a pain, particularly on weekends for brekky, but you'll get yourself into some sort of routine before you know it.

Myshy, hope you're feeling a little better. Chicken kebabs are a nice change to the usual stirfry that I have. Cut the chicken into cubes and slice up you veggie allowance - I use mushrooms, onion, zucchini and capsicum - and alternate them on skewers. If I've got some time to spare before I have to eat, I mix up my mayo allowance with some water and curry powder and brush it over the kebabs, cover them with gladwrap and pop them in the fridge for a while. I cook them in the health grill. Very nice to use prawns instead of chicken too.

Sammy, I'm sure your weigh in will be great tomorrow. Good luck and let us know how you go.

Kaseysmum, 2 kg in 3 days is fantastic! Well done!

Well, it's time for dinner so better go. I'm going to add 35gm to my protein allowance and 35gm to my veg allowance and see how I go - that'll be 150gm meat and 150gm veg ... I feel full just thinking about it! :D

HOORAY I finally worked out this ticker with a bit of persistance YEEHA:) Good stuff with the refeed IMR I bet you loved your chicken sandwich and thanx for the tips on the kebabs will have to try the mayo basting sauce.Talk tomorrow. Goodnite everyone.;)

Cohen 2nd month!

I am so happy that I have found you all!

I lost 11kg in the first month, although this month has been a shocker, with my job turning upside down and my mum being diagnosed with cancer.

But I'll get back on track next month.

Tell me does anyone feel hungry at night?

thank god I found you

Cryss:p

p.s. if anyone can help with the Ticker it would be great!

Hi Everyone,
MYSHY: You can get the spinach leaves from the supermarket or from the vegie shop. They are the leaves only not the stalk and much better and keep for a bit long too. I also got one of those special Vegie bags. They are near the gladwrap & freezer bag section. If you pop you spinach leaves in one of those they last twice as long. Usually the ones I am talking about are in a box near the mushrooms, they aren’t the ones in bunches, just the leaves.....
HEALTHYMUM: I'm in on the Secret Santa, just emailed you, hope you got it.
MONI: Going to try and do the TickerFactory thingo, love it, looks great, If I can't get it to work can I email you for directions.
MISSYMUM: Don't worry about the diet at the moment, you have enough on your plate. You'll be able to get back on track once things have settled down.
YUM, THESE RECIPES COMING THOUGH ARE LOOKING PRETTY GOOD. LOOKS LIKE WE CAN TURN THIS COHEN'S DIET INTO A FABULOUS GOURMET DIET....
SAMMY: Can't wait to see how you went with your weight in. I weighted in at 90.3kgs but it was about 2 in the afternoon, when I weight myself that morning though I was 89.45. So in my first 6 weeks according to Cohen's weigh in amount I had lost 14.4kgs. Not bad.....
CRYSS: So sorry to hear your bad new. We are all here to support you.
Little tip: when I make up a soup I put in 1 either chicken or beef stock cube. It hasn't effected my weight loss but it does make it really tasty. I also put in garlic powder, currie powder, dried basil and some real crushed garlic.
Going to try to add this tickerfactory thing. I am so sure it isn't going to work that I have already emailed Healthymum for assistance.
Hope you all have a good dieting day everyone. Best wishes, JOY
 PS: TOLD YOU IT WOULDN'T WORK, HELP......

GOODMORNING EVERYONE!!!The ticker is a bit of a pain isnt it took me hours to work it out. You have to use scroll down and copy the bb code and then paste it in your signiture panel on your profile. Welcome Cryss and sorry to hear of your news our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, did you get my post off the other forum? Where all here to support so hope to here from you soon. Well Ive been having pizzas for brekky every morning and dont feel deprived I use the 2 paradise lights slice my veg allowance of tomato and zuchinni and cheese allowance on top and grill yummy, for lunch ive been having stir fry chicken with vegies and use a teaspoon of ww honey and mustard for flavour as I checked it is about the same quantity of carbs and sugars as mayonaise and it tastes delicous. For dinner i swap the chicken for prawns. I am weighing everyday cos its keeping me spurred on at the moment and I see every loss as an achievement so today im 93.1kg 25.1kg to go BRING IT ON" I think Kims advice on the water is the best ever I am downing 4.5 litres a day and feel great no headaches getting back on this. Have a great day everyone. Bye

Hi Everyone and welcome Cryss!

Well today is officially day4 on the diet and I think i'm in the groove now. Only one day with a headache and it was a beauty!!! It hit me worst in the supermarket and in the 10min it took to pay and get home I was shaking and nauseous.:( Anyway, fruit, crakers and some Nurofen plus seemed to make a dent in it and I was back to (almost) normal a couple of hours later.

I've loved reading through everyone's recipes- there are some really great ideas that I will be trying out esp mango chicken....mmmm.... thanks Moni ;)

I've also become a madwoman on the scales. I've had bathroom scales for a while but only got on them occasionally. Now that I'm seeing results i'm on them every morning. I'm very happy to report that after 3 days i've already lost 2kg. Probably a fair bit is water but the sight of the scales going down makes me happy.:) Thats the aim of course!

Hope you're all having a great week!
Happy losing!
Nat :)
