Getting on top of my diet and attempting technology !!!!

can some one please help me with a ticker been to the web site but how do i get it here ????? :p

Ticker

Casey,

To get your ticker to work, you need to copy the BBCode (see screen shot attached) & then go into your User Control Panel (Click User CP) - located in the Menu Bar across the top of the page and click 'Edit Signature' - then paste the code into there. This should fix it up.

If you need any help, feel free to Private Msg me or send me an email, melissa@kurrara.com.au

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for such a warm welcome. :)

So its day 10 for me already (it seems to have gone really fast) and I feel great. I had a headache once but have had no other ill effects other than having to run to the loo every 20 mins with all this water. I go for my first weigh in on Saturday and I have no idea how much (if any) I have lost cos I don't have scales at home so I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

The recipe booklet sounds like a great idea and would come in handy. My favourite "treat" at the moment is to put a cup of sprite zero and my mango into the blender and wizz it up. I might try to freeze some as an icypole next time I do it - yum! :D

Anyway, time to leave the office for another day. Thanks again!

Hello,
I am quite new to the program (just finished week 3) & just wanted to know if anyone can tell me if and when they introduced exercise into their program.
I started out at 108 and after only three weeks am down to 98.
I know things will start to slow down soon, so I am thinking I should start walking in the mornings.
The best thing I have discovered is Fanta Zero, I reccomend it to anyone in need of a sweet treat. I have checked with the clinic & yes it is approved.
Thankyou to everyone who writes on this site, your support for each other is very encouraging.

I love reading everyones survival tips, so keep them coming!!!

Take Care,

Kate

hi!!
yep, those engagement party pics look fantastic!! nice one!
about the diet coke, caffeine thing - bummer...!! i was telling everyone at work how bad coke was!! i read that coke has 6 times caffeine as coffee one of those pamphlets at cohens so that's where i read that. anyway, for the first month i remember i drank diet coke every time i went out and then the blood test came back as borderline and diet coke was the only bad thing that i'd had all month :( bummer. so who knows??? its a mystery!
today has been a good day. i'm officially back on, and with eveyrone's help, i'm gonna stay back on and lose a further 16kg.
yeah, i got the icypole holder thing from kmart cuz they must have sold out of everywhere else! i've been eating lots of those.
and about the heat... i hate this humid heat. but the hot heat - well i love that!! i'm WA born and bred too, i moved to melbourne for work last year and i miss the heat soooo much :( i've been to the beach in melb about 3 times and it's nothing compared to wa beaches!!!) the beach used to be a huge part of my life (even though i was fat and didn't wear a bikini) now my focus is work and cohens - go me!!
going now, got work to do
lisa

Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrggggghhhh

Ok so i started the morning well - made that omelette in a bag and was surprised how yumo it was filling - had some cruskits for morning tea and a chicken and veg stir fry for lunch - but then it got bad. i phoned up to organise my CURVES appointment and am going in tomorrow night and i am starting work late tomorrow so i decided in my head that i will start tomorrow and splurge tonight and watch the SEX and THE CITY series. Its the sugar i was craving ... any tips. Plus my plan never arrived as i had been hoping. I really am feeling frustrated. It kinda makes it hard as when u go in and sign up etc you are all enthusiastic and stuff and then u have to wait. Oh well tomorrow is but another day for change. Will report in tom.

Hi everyone and welcome to the newbies.

Mel, you are absolutely stunning in your engagement photos. You are going to make one beautiful bride!

Moni, you are seriously powering through the diet. Even if you lose 8kg a month, that will be a fantastic achievement. I imagine the weight loss is really keeping you motivated to stay on track. I think that was what kept me so focused when I was on the diet - even though my weight loss varied anywhere from 600kg to 2kg a week, it was seeing the scales move each week that kept my focus.

Katie, I didn't do any exercise whilst I was on the diet. I found just doing a 15 minute walk got me really really hungry, but I think everyone's different. If I could have timed it that I could exercise just before I was due to eat a meal, it may have been easier. I've really gotten into exercise since finishing the diet - lots of walks and I go to Curves at least 3 times week. If you want to start exercising, give it a go and just see how you feel.

Blula, sounds like you're going well. I'm sure you'll see wonderful results at your first weigh in.

Casey, that's great motivation for you that your workmates are on the diet. Make sure you stay on the wagon!

PinkCandy, for a chilli chicken dish, I used to brown my chicken allowance in a non stick frying pan, add dry chilli, and then add veggie allowance (I used onion, tomato, zucchini and mushroom) and a splash of water, let it simmer (not too long though otherwise the veggies disappear!).

Myshy, hope you're going okay. Bugger about the scales. That must have been a really hard decision to make. Are you holding off on starting the refeed now?

Kim, great to hear from you. You have got a great goal to strive for so everytime you think of hopping off your wagon, think about your weekend away in June and get back on the wagon!

Cryss, hope your back is better. I think the hardest part about this whole journey is reprogramming your mind about the way you think about food. I didn't do it consciously, but somehow, at sometime (I don't know when), it just happened. Even now, 6 weeks after finishing, I'm always thinking about what I'm eating and if I've been a bit (or really) naughty (like this weekend) I am conscious of what I eat the following week. But it doesn't feel like burden - it just happens naturally. I think because this program is so strict, once I hit goal, I knew there was no way I wanted to have to do this again, so maybe that's where the reprogramming comes from.

To everyone else I have missed, stay focused and on the wagon and you'll be rewarded by fabulous results.

On Friday, I went shopping at David Lawrence (I've never even stepped foot in that store before). I wanted to buy a black cocktail dress. The sales assistant brought out a gorgeous dress for me to try on. It was beautiful, but alas, it was a size 10 and it was too small!!! I couldn't believe it!!! So, $330 later, I left the store with a size 8!!! It was way too expensive, but it's the first size 8 I've ever tried on, let alone fit into, so it had to come with me!

Have a great week everyone. Lisa :)

Hi all my freinds,
great to read through all the last few pages and glad to hear everyone is doing great. Hey just thought of something, doesn't those band wagons have wooden wheels, that means it can't get a flat right, so that means no one has an excuse, keep up the great work everyone.
Mel, just how great do you look already, I can just imagine what you are going to look like by October, yes I do, absolutely BEAUTIFUL for your special day.
WOW, that tooth pick thing, laugh or what that is a classic.

Well ladies, I've done it. I am now 1.7kgs under goal and it will be interesting to see if I put on any weight tomorrow. Down to 58.3 and day 5 tomorrow, all going well at the moment.
I know this is a short posting from me, but I would just like to say to anyone restarting again, please stick to it, the feeling is so, so good once you have achieved it. Be like a Nike, JUST DO IT......
Well have a great night everyone and a wonderful successful day tomorrow.

Hi to everyone and welcome to Katie and Happymummy :)

Its great having so many of us now- there's so much to read through every time I log in.

Katie- 10kgs in 3weeks is excellent! If you dont mind me asking, how much are you trying to lose?

Pinkcandy- they still dont have your plan??? How long has it been now that you have been waiting? It seems like forever! Tell them to hurry it up:p

Lisa- I'm jumping on with Cryss- I want photos too! You should be so proud of what you've achieved!! You deserve that dress!! Show us!!

Joysey Am I reading right? You've already lost 1.7kg after 5days on refeed? Or have you got 1.7kg to go? How are you finding refeed?

Mel I've been hanging out for Biggest Loser since the minute I saw the ad! I love Biggest Loser! I love watching what it does for each of them physically and emotionally especially with their confidence.
I think I watch too much tv.... :p

Blula- Good luck on Saturday with your weigh in!

No change from me- still weighing 56.6kg, no movement down, but hey- no movement up either! Although, I do feel like I may have lost a little bit more off my butt and thighs (this is my bad area) in the last day or so. Does anyone else find that the scales can show a loss, but it doesnt look any different (in fact you might even be having a 'fat day') and then other days the scales show no movement but your body looks leaner and your clothes are looser again?

Funny story- I posted that my mum was all inspired to lose weight after my trip to visit her at Christmas. She discussed things with her partner and they both decided they could do with losing a bit of weight. So my mum's been going at it gung-ho and I've been emailing her every Saturday for her weigh in to see her progress. Every email I get says 700g, 400g etc.
Then finally this Saturday she rings me and says "ok- he's out of the house so I can talk freely. You have to swear not to tell anyone this..." And she goes on to tell me that when they both weighed themselves, her partner guessed that my mum weighed around 70kg. When my mum saw that she weighed 82kg- more than he guessed and in fact more than him,she got all self conscious and sensitive about it and came out of the bathroom declaring "yep- you were pretty close- 72kg!" So she's had to lie about all her losses so far to keep up the original lie and to close the gap before she can tell him what she really weighs. She is proud to report that she has lost about 5kg so far! I laughed at her so hard...:p

Hope this has made you smile
Nat :)

Hi everyone. Well I've returned home from our trip to Scotland and we had the most wonderful time, although it didn't snow for more than 10 mins ( much to my childrens disgust).
I am really pleased to let you all know that in the 3 months since I have done the re-feed I have not re-gained any weight, and believe me I have eaten ANYTHING I wanted. While away my weight would go up by 1 or 2 kg's, but would then come back down by 1 or 2 kg. I took my scales with me to keep an eye on my weight ( see I am a compulsive weigher!).
I started the program again yesterday to tackle my last 10 - 15 kg ( still haven't decided what weight I will go to), and I am really raring to go. I was beginning to feel really bloated while away as the food they eat in Scotland is very heavy, and we had no control over what we ate as we were staying with family. I was so looking forward to getting back, and getting back on the program.
I haven't had a chance to read through all the posts yet, but I hope everyone is still doing well, and getting closer to the finish line. I'll be back posting again regularly, and looking for support. Have a great day everyone. Talk to you soon.
Beck

Craving

Hiya! :)

I've had a bad craving day. I have wanted about 7 different specific foods today and none of them are on the allowed list :(
But so far I'm staying strong.

I'm feeling a bit sick of myself for the way I have kept breaking this last month. And I have to face a work trip away mid-March where I wont be able to do any cooking for a whole week. And I dont want to be attempting refeed while away.
So this leaves me with six weeks and 5.5kg, which I dont think is impossible if I behave myself. Otherwise I dread to think how much that week away could put me back :(
So, this is my declaration of renewed determination ;) I rely a lot on this forum and now I need you all to keep me honest.

Nat xx :)

Beck Your post is encouraging! I have a question though:
I am really pleased to let you all know that in the 3 months since I have done the re-feed I have not re-gained any weight, and believe me I have eaten ANYTHING I wanted. While away my weight would go up by 1 or 2 kg's, but would then come back down by 1 or 2 kg. I took my scales with me to keep an eye on my weight ( see I am a compulsive weigher!).

Did you compensate for when you ate certain things? For example if you ate a lot of carbs in a meal did you cut them out of a later meal or did you just eat and enjoy?

Nat :)
