Hi everyone. So many posts to read since I last visited - lots going on! Welcome to all the newcomers.

I made it through the xmas/new year period without putting any weight on which I was pleased about, although I did exercise a lot to make up for all the champagne, wine and meals that I consumed!

For everyone who has fallen off the wagon, GET BACK ON IT! I know it's hard to get back into the mind frame, but you just have to do it! I want you all to experience the amazing feeling that I did when I finished. I can't explain how wonderful it felt my first day off the diet. I cried when I tasted my first latte in 5 months, I think because it was when I had my first sip, it hit home that I had actually accomplished my goal.

Myshy, your photos are fantastic. You look gorgeous. In regard to the refeed, they say that hunger is the sign that it's time to start the refeed. But I ordered mine before the hunger set in and I didn't have any adverse affects from starting it earlier than I was supposed to.

Mel, your photos are amazing. You look fantastic! Congratulations! I think putting on your old clothes is huge motivation to keep on going because you can see exactly how far you've come.

Moni, you look like a completely different person in your photos. What an amazing difference! Keep it up - you'll be ordering your refeed before you know it if you keep on powering through it like you are!

Joysey, did you decide to order your refeed now or are you going to wait until you return from overseas? It's a bit of hard one because as the food and quantities change every couple of days, I think you actually have to concentrate more and think about and plan each meal every day, more so than when you're on the actual diet. I imagine you are looking like a completely different person with your amazing weight loss.

rjm, have a fantastic holiday in Scotland.

Keep up the great work everyone.

Lisa :)

New Girl

Hi everyone,

OMG - this site is amazing. I have sat here for the last hour or more (it is 11.10pm) reading posts about Cohens and well i'd like to say THANKYOU for inspiring me to go and join Cohens. I am going to phone up tomorrow afternoon and organise to go in and sign up etc ... i am in perth (so if anyone can recommend the best clinic that would be fab, preferably south perth region). I was hoping you could tell me what to expect ... i understand i have to attend an information thing? Is there any steps you would recomend doing before my diet plan arrives such as dropping certain foods etc, also once i've had my inital blood test how long till i get my diet plan? And finally what crackers have you found to be the best? I have some ladies at work who recently stopped eating the crackers as they believed them to slow down the weight loss ... any ideas there?

So my stats r ... 23 year old female, i am 75 kilos and want to commit to something i can use for life, something that will break my comulsive eating habits. I've tried everything pretty much but cant keep weight off. Am looking forward to getting to know you all.

Big thanks
xoxox

DAY 100 – AND ORDERING MY RE-FEED TODAY……
STARTING WEIGHT 90.3 (3 October 2005)
TOTAL TODAY 62.6 KGS (11 January 2006)
TOTAL LOST IN 100 DAYS 27.7KGS – 2.6 KGS TO GO

HI LADIES,
Hope you have all been well. Sorry I haven’t been on for a while but have been so busy but haven’t stopped thinking of all of my friends who are right here. I was up at 3.00am this morning so read through the last 6 pages and it was just great. You are all the best.

MONI: I can’t find your recipe for your mango chicken on the forum, would you mind emailing it to me joy@finer.com.au

LISAB: You will be at 70kgs well before the end of the year. If you are 85 now you only have a tiny 15kgs to go. Stick to it and you will be there by April for sure, give yourself the challenge, we are all here to help you. Try to keep up with the tea if you can, the cramps only last until all the toxins are gone, then it works once in the morning and that’s it, promise.

PDF: If you send me an email I’ll email you back a picture of what the box looks like so you will know which one to get joy@finer.com.au
Re sugar cravings: Next time you are at the supermarket get yourself a bottle of the BLACKMORES Weight-Loss Support SUGAR BALANCE, they are excellent and there is 3 months supply in the bottle for about $12.

KASEYSMUM: You’re a champion, getting back on it and loosing the weight, just goes to show everyone out there, IT CAN BE DONE, good on you.

RAJAH: Glad to hear you had a good holiday and you are going to get right back on track. Stick to it and your weight will be gone before you know it.

NEARLYTHERE40KGS: Don’t worry too much about putting that weight on over Xams New Year as it is only surplus and will come off quicker than you think, if you stick to it from now on and drink plenty of water you will loose it within a week to 10 days, and then you will be back to where you were before. YOU CAN DO IT.

LINDA717: Glad to hear your plan arrived. If you can find vita-weat or ryvita they are probably the best 2. You only have to have the crackers for the first 10 days so after that try not to have them because they really slow the weight loss down. It is best to have them though for that initial 10 days because your body is adjusting to the diet and will need the extra starches from them, then if you still want to have them just try having only 1 or 2 a day, but believe me, if you cut them right out you will loose it quicker. Tried and tested, guaranteed.
Linda, check the website www.calorieking.com and download the software on the free 14 days trial. From there you can type in for example RYVITA and it will tell you exactly what is in it. I actually bought it and monitored every single thing that has gone into my mouth and compared the days intake, great little thing to have if you can be bothered of course. It also monitors your weight loss and allows you to put in your own foods so you don’t have to keep finding them all the time. Once you set it up its easy and very interesting. Some days I was having under 300 cals per day, very low but not hungry or wasn’t sick.

PEACHES: WELCOME, I bet you are excited about doing the program, you won’t be sorry, IT IS THE BEST. We are all here to help you so any questions, just let us know. Which clinic do you attend and how much do you have to loose?

RMJ: You have a wonderful trip and just get on it when you get back, you’ll be right.

MEL: YOU ARE A CHAMPION, good on you. Don’t know what that blood test thing is. Don’t feel lost, we are here to help. OH MY GOD MEL, I can’t believe how much you have changed, I have gone all goose bumps after looking at your pictures. You keep it up, you are going to be looking like a super model and then what a story you will have to tell…..

ROS: I would wait until you get your results back and just eat normal until then with no junk food and drink the water because that will only help you. Let us know how you go.

BARBARA: You are right about the water, if you have toooooo much it definitely flushes out too many minerals etc. Cramps in the calf muscles is one good indication as the water flushes out the sodium as well which stops cramps.

CRYSS: You made a good investment with those scales. About 10 years ago I purchased a set that set me back over $400 and still have them today, so it pays to buy quality. You are an absolute classic with your rhymes, just love reading them.

MYSHY: Yes, do have a little sprinkle of salt on your meals, it won’t hurt as our water will flush it out. If I don’t I get cramps in my calf muscles and BOY THEY HURT.

HEALTHYMUM: Welcome back. Now you know you aren’t pregnant nothing is going to stop you, GO FOR IT….

SOS: Welcome, are you on the program as well and when did you begin?

DANPOL: Hi there buddy. You are going to be fine, just start again and those 5kgs will vanish.

IMR: I am ordering my refeed today so I can study it and start when I loose the next 600g.

PINKCADY: Good on you for making the decision that is going to change your life. The diet is easy, simple and it works. 3 small meals a day and up to 2-5 ltrs of water, you will probably be on 2-3 if you are 75kgs. All healthy foods and easy to prepare.
Let us know when you are starting we are all here to support you.

Great to chat to you all again, keep up the good work everyone and if you are going to break just really think about it before you pop it into your mouth, remember you want to get to your goal as quick as possible and it will only slow it down.
TAKE CARE EVERYONE AND BEST WISHES TO ALL, JOY

Hi girls after reading all your posts everyone is going so good I guess we all have our own demons when it comes to this diet.

But I have found this nifty little thing which I hope will make my diet easier. My biggest problem is what to have for lunch as I am usually out most of the day so 99% of the time I skip lunch not good.

So browsing through the dreaded AVON book ( I just cant say no to the lovely avon lady) I came across this item its called LUNCH SALAD MAKER you place the salad in the container with the dressing of your choice ( as if we have a lot of choice) in the top of the container and when u are ready to eat it you press the top and break the dressing seal, shake and serve no more soggy salads.

Its 19.5cms high with the top on. What a great idea sick of my salad being soggy or carting around a bottle of dressing and its only $8.99.

Its in the AVON SUPER SUMMER SALE BROCHURE CURRENT NOW ITEM NUMBER 50578 ON PAGE 2.

I have got to get back into this diet it seems so good for breaky but then comes lunch and it goes downhill from there.

Otherwise have been busy with going up and down to Sydney helping out with things for my ex husband staying the night coming home, looking after my grandkids plus my own little girl and next week having mum come and stay as my brother is having a holiday and mum thinks she is getting too old to stay on her own my little girl usually stays with her but this time she wants to come out to my place I just worry about the internal stairs with her hopes she doesn't have a fall.

Update on son-in-law has had another dose of chemo and has gone on a little holiday to see his grandparents up the coast and do a little fishing which will do him good. Please keep him in your prayers.

To all of you I wonder if we added up all our weight loss together how much it would be, I bet we would be shocked.

Anyway have to go to the solicitors today so better get moving take care all dianne

Confused!

hey girls,

well the new scales are causing a bit of a stir, I have my weight, water and body fat % all measured.

Weight - down
Water - down
Body Fat % - UP!

what is going on? has anyone noticed this before? what am I losing if I'm not losing body fat% Tell mw I haven't just lost 20kgs of WATER!

love to hear from someone who measures body fat%

see you in the soup!

By the way, I painted my wagon, really cool, is pale blue, with antique flowers along the bottom, there is fringing as you go through the front curtains and the finest of pastel silks hanging at the back to let a breeze through, I'm starting to think about decorating the interior of it. I love my wagon. Anyone else like there wagon too? When and if I ever feel like, falling off the wagon, I think about how nice it is, and how much work I have done to make it look this good, it still has a long way to go, there is the whole inside to decorate and some structural stuff, but it will be perfect to take on holidays about July!

Well I have fantastic news..

I lost 1.2 kgs since yesterday.. That has given me a great kick up the but.

PINK CANDY Welcome aboard the weightloss wagon train. Try and cut out carbs like bread, pasta etc. Cut out alchol and increase the amount of water you drink. People who have a lot of weight to lose have found that if you drink about 4 litres of water a day it helps get the weight off quicker.

Joysey - I brought a bottle of the Blackmores Sugar Balance and started it this morning so lets hope it works.

LINDA - a word of warning. Try not to break at all cause it is extremely hard to get back on track.. For me, I found that because when I broke I still lost weight, I started thinking well I can keep breaking and keep losing weight and then you just sprial downwards and you start losing less and less.

DANPOL - Welcome back to you also. We need to get together soon!

CASEY - please get back on the wagon or come and join mine. There is plenty of room.

My wagon is one of those old types that the pioneers lived in.

View attachment 737
Imagine please the following:

Inside it has air conditioning - huge comfy cushions to lay on. Huge TV with surround sound. I am being served my meals by a sexy guy, I am getting massages and pedicures and medicures.

Ahhhhhh sounds sooo nice.. At the end of the month when I get to 90kgs I am going redecorate the interior.. New paint job I think.

I have just finished my first litre of water so I am on the way to a great start. The 1.2 kgs overnight has really boosted my motivation!

Good luck to all today and I will catch up with you all soon. BTW - what program are we chatting in now???

Kim

Hi Ladies,

MONI: what can I say, WOW......

WELL I HAVE FINALLY DONE IT, I HAVE JUST ORDERED MY RE-FEED, PART 2 HERE I COME.....

Hi ladies,

Thank you so much everyone, I am have been back on track for the last 4 days and inspired to keep going. With everyone's help I am going to do this. :)

Cryss: I compulsively weigh myself every morning especially since I have my new digital scales. But we have to remember that it's not a good indicator as we fluctuate from day to day with fluid and it can be disappointing when you have stuck to the program and the scales don't show it. But I was told with the HGH shrinking you, you can lose centimetres even if it doesn't show on the scales. Don't get disappointed! They told me your clothes are the best indicators.

Moni: 100cms or 1 cubic metre - that's amazing!!!! Good luck for the next lot and look forward to joining you in the venture. :D

Joysey: Good luck on the refeed. You have achieved your first stage in weightloss and and have done extremely well. You are a success story for the program and an inspiration to all of us. You will manage refeed and achieve you goals. :D

Kim: between your wagon and Cryss' I am coming for a holiday. I hope you both don't mind sharing as they sound irresistible. I'm looking to get my own to share with everyone as well. ;) Good to see you back on your resort/wagon.

Have a good day.and keep shrinking!!!

Hi Everyone,
12 week weigh in for me today :)
Kg's lost:- 12kg (old scales)
Centremitres lost :- 67.

Refeed being ordered today :)

I just noticed today that I need to adjust my ticker. I thought Cohens had set my goal weight at 57-62, but it was infact 59-61. New ticker below :) My scales also were not being extra kind to me today either :(

So, a few mistakes along the way, a little cheating now and then, but I have done it, maybe not as quick as I could have, but who cares!!! Joysey - we will be able to compare notes on the refeed. I am so glad someone else will be doing it at the same time.

Have a great day everyone,

Myshy:D :D :D :D :D :D

Congratulations Myshy on getting to the refeed. It wasn't that long ago you were struggling with the program and now look at you!!!

Moni - 110cm. That is awesome

I have put on 1kg overnight but my periods started yesterday so Im thinking that is the reason why..

My mother and father who are also on the program but complete technophoics send their regards and my dad who has just started his refeed says to keep up the work as it is worth it!

yes - periods mean, no pregnancy! Yeeehaaaaaaa.... No more babies for this duckie.

Guess what, I brought size 18 red dress for our anniversary yesterday and I didn't try it on. I said to my mum that I don't think it will fit me but I have time between now and march to get into it. Welllllllllllll...IT FITS... yes a bit snugglely around the butt, but it fits.. I cannot believe it... I probably will have to buy another dress for our anniversary.. What a shame huh.. NOT...

Another thing I am adding to my wagon, is a dressing room to hang all my new clothes.

Hi everyone and welcome newies. :)
I have been back on the wagon for a day and a little bit today :( have just arrived home from work. Am going to sort out my goals tonight and work out
what I want to achieve by when. on the 18th am going to get weighed to see how much i put on :( hopefuly not much ......
I got a good kick up the behind off mum last night ( it worked). so now am going to go drink more water and work out my goals
- hanging in there - Casey

hi, everyone! day 3 for the rest of my life now!! going well except for yesterday i ate this little almond biscot thing which was yummy (a girl at work had them and i couldn't resist) but it was wafer-thin... just like we'll be when we're finished!!! so doing well on day 3 and lots of water! haven't jumped on the scales, but i'm aiming for 2kg a week so that's 8kg a month (which is what i was losing before, well just over. so we'll say 9kg a month). so... the goal weight is 65 and i'm 85 now... so that's 20... (i'm just doing calculations here) so that works out to be..... oh i don't know. but i think the mini goal will work well. because i got to 75 before, i know i can defintely get there. so 80 is my mini goal. so that's 2 weeks away. so 2 months i'm gonna be at 65.
so now you're all probly sick of my calculations, but i can't work out how the ticker shows up on here!!
NOW: 85
MINI GOAL: 80
GOAL WEIGHT: 65

So.... 5 kg to go!!
bye all, keep up the magical work!

Refeeding club

Hi everyone,

Well I can say I have been on track for day 5. At last it feels like I'm getting somewhere. Had a delicious chicken salad with white balsamic vinegar tonight. It was very yummy!!

CONGRATULATIONS Myshy on ordering your refeed. :) You are now part of an elite club and inspiring all us to go forward. It's great that you can share notes with Joysey and then you both can help all of us as we get there!!!!

lisab: you have worked out your goals and know it can be done. Go for it girl. It's great to be on track again..... :)

Casey: it's been hard for me to get back on track but with everyone's help here we all are getting back on these wagons and moving those scales in the right direction. Won't be long before you will see results. :)

Healthymum: By March you will probably have to buy a size 14 and be stunningly irresistible for your wedding anniversay. You hubby will think he is out with another girl!!! ;) By the way, congratulations to your dad for his weightloss and getting to refeed. How much did he lose and how long did he take? Any tips?

Have a good night :D

I have not vanished but am vanishing (I hope)

Hi Everyone and an extra big hello to all the newbies since my last post!

Just a quick note to let you all know I am still here, still thinking of you all and still catching up on all the posts I have been missing.

I am finally back from visiting the family in Perth, then my computer monitor went to computer heaven, plus I have had a visitor from Perth who will be with me till Saturday so I havent had much opportunity to check-in. So sticking to Cohens has been on and off and on and off...

I gave up while in Perth. It was too hard to keep on the diet when everyone I knew wanted to catch up over coffee, dinner, cake etc. I got back on the wagon once I was back and got back down to 57.2kg but I'm sure yesterday's winery tour with my friend would qualify as off the wagon again... I also feel terrible for my friend because all our eating has been at home- she has been very understanding and supportive but tomorrow we are having a very Melbourne eating out day.
We went into Tiffany's today and I fell in love with a ring that I think I will have to save up for and have as a reward when I finish Cohens.

On the bright side I do find after a naughty day or two once I am back on the wagon the weight loss has a bit of a spurt- which helps.

I have also done a bit of soul searching on why I eat like I do (being in Perth made a lot of it clearer) which I will get into in a later post I'm sure. They serve as a reminder that its not just about being on a diet, but looking further and realising why I eat and breaking those patterns.

Has anyone else in their off the wagon adventures had adverse affects from the food? My digestive system reacts badly and I spend hours in pain...:( A very good reason to stick the plan I guess.

Anyway, off to bed for me. I hope to post again on the weekend- look forward to sharing with you all again soon!
Nat:)

Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for your warm welcome.

I have just received my program today. Will start on Saturday. I know it's going to be very tough but it's a comfort to know that all of you are going through the same phase right now.

My current weight is 99kg; ideal weight= 58kg. Got a long way. But will definitely press on!!!

To a healthier us!
