Club 200 Plus

No change in weight this week for me, but thats ok because I currently am unable to workout. anyone know any knee friendly exercises?

Kreamie, I don't know what you can actually do, but most people recommends either swimming, walking or using a stationary bike when you have knee problems.

This is going to sound stupid, but you could put a rope (Or anything that serves as a straight line, for that matter) on the floor, and step back and forth or side-to-side repeatedly, even though it's not too much, the faster you go the harder it gets... I used to do that as an active rest when I first started...
:biggrinjester:

I wouldn't know what else to suggest, but you could also try looking on Youtube...

Great Idea! Thank you! I'm going to try to go swimming as well, I sprained my knee pretty bad and was told by my doctor I can do light exercise, I'm going to go for more walks as well. It was fine till the elevator at my job broke down, I had to walk up and down stairs for literally 5 hours straight, I'm pretty sure I damaged it more. It's starting to feel a lot better so as long as I take it slow I think I'll be alright. It sucks because I actually had to quit my job over it, I was in so much pain I couldn't walk much. So i'm back to my stationary home job, at least I'll be able to focus on my weight loss more though! I never thought of trying youtube for exercises, I wonder if they will have yoga type exercise haha. I LOVE YOGA!

I joined here 5 years ago and the forum helped me go from 310 down to 225. A few years of backsliding and I'm back at 245.

Doesn't look as active now, but maybe just returning to the source will help me on my way again.

I note that you have gone back up 20lbs. Your honesty is commendable. i was able to drop from 226 to 175 doing no additional exercise before settling on a range of between 178 and 185 as acceptable. Have you changed what you were doing? I'd be interested to hear. I guess if you know what you've been doing that you weren't doing before you can explain why you've gone back up.

Anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Hi Sandee, and felow 200lbers!

I weigh 115kgs, which is over 250, and want to get below the 200! I'm a noob to dieting, I'm struggling with motivation and have not been in shape since about 2005. I'm coming to realise just how much all my efforts when I was younger were to impress girls, but alas I got chewed up and spat out by a shitty relationship and my apathy has spilled over into my health.

To be clear, my desire to lose weight is because I want to feel I'm taking part in life a bit more. So, I look forward to sharing experiences and helping to motivate others as I would like help finding motivation myself! :cheers2:

I'm 5'10" and currently 209lbs... which is 14lbs down from what I was 5 weeks ago xD I'm following my friend as he does Genghis Grill's Health Kwest competition this year -- though not as disciplined as he is I'm still losing weight too! I want to hit 170 and see how that looks. My friend gets one free meal a day from Genghis as part of his competition -- I keep him company but have to pay for mine -- and we load up on veggies and use only a bit of sauce, and lean meats. Then watch what we eat the rest of the day, and walk 1-2 hours daily. He's doing fantastically (the competitive nature of the contest gives him extra motivation!) but I'm quite happy with my 14 lbs so far just from being his support crew :D

We actually have a mini-challenge currently, to make a mock commercial video; it's judged on effort, creativity, and views -- the first two are in the bag but we need help on views. I helped and worked very hard on it too, so if you guys could watch, it would be greatly appreciated!

At the halfway mark of the contest now -- wish us both luck: him on his contest, and me on weight loss and health in general... and STAYING healthy once this is over!

what does 200's club mean

 Hi

i just thought that maybe some of you feel the same way as i do about the long journey that we have ahead of us. I know that loosing weight is a struggle no matter how little or how much you have to loose but i thought that those of us in the 200's might have a little something in common.

So if anyone is interested i would like to start a club for us.

what does the 200's club mean please? Thank-you

Many people weigh in pounds - and this club is for people who weigh from 200 to 300 pounds...

There are 14 pounds in a stone - so you are basically talking about a club for people who weigh from 14st 4lbs to just under 21st 6lbs.

Thanks Omega, makes sense, sorry. I only have a Mobil fone for internet and its difficult to access through this site. All the best :)

Well, took 8 months to go from 245 to 230. Wouldn't have taken nearly that long if the Great Holiday Reset didn't hit me yet again over the winter, but none-the-less it happened. Now I got all summer to gain momentum :)

Hi, I´m new here at the forum and at the club right now I´m 216 hope that the changes I´m making make that number go down, but it looks like I´ll be hanging out here for a few weeks. On july I have my first nutriologist visit and start going to the gym. I´ll update any changes, so far being a good girl cutting sugar and not eating junk food.

Have a great weekend everybody!

Lida

Hey RainbowC:
I'm a newbie here, too. I've been watching my portions for about a week now, but I'm getting all of my "official" diet rules and such together. (lol...maybe just building up my "formal" motivation). I've been on a diet, on and off, for most of my life. Over the past few years, I 've been up t 235, down t 180, and everywhere in between. I'm currently at 218.5. My first goal is to break into the 100s and get to 199, then down to 190, then 180, etc. Great to see you here!!
